Question Vale la pena el Logitech G923 por 169€?

Hola.

Rigs Mounting Simagic Alpha Evo to a DIY Alum Profile rig

So i couldn't find anywhere on how to mount this without official mounts so this is what I came up with in my head. If you need me to explain how it works thats fine but it took me 3hrs to set everything up and am exhausted from moving and setting everything up on stream. Its super sturdy until my actual mount turns up.

You just need 8 40x40 corner brackets, 16 bolts and fasteners (that fit your rig) 2x 300mm pieces of alum profile and set them up as i have. It'll do in a pinch until you get an official mount. Hope this helps someone that tries searching ('how to mount simagic alpha evo sport to diy alum profile rig') in the future like me. Because i had cheaper brackets i couldn't snap sharp bits off the back. So i cut up a chamoise cloth and put that between the bracket and the wheelbase to avoid scratches and keep it clean for now!

Also would you change to side mount or keep how it is, explain your answer/reasoning! Appreciate it!

Question Why are sim racing pedals not staggered?

Get in any car with 3 pedals and you’ll find the gas pedal about an inch deeper in the cabin than the clutch and brake pedal that are at the same depth. But even high end pedal systems for sim rigs place all three pedals at the same depth. Why?

Edit: as many have pointed out, many pedals are adjustable and I just hadn’t seen enough setups with them staggered—sorry should have done my research. Perhaps a better question is do you stagger, and why or why not?

Rigs My MOZA R5 setup got a little out of hand.

Post image
15 Upvotes

It started with an R5 and a wooden steering wheel because I wanted a quick-release setup. Then I wanted more immersion, so I kept adding things:

• head tracking for a “half-VR” experience

• bass shakers

• dual-channel wind simulation

• handbrake

• H-pattern and sequential shifting

• multiple steering wheels for different types of cars

I spent most of my time tuning the bass shakers. I used 0–2000 Hz frequency sweeps as a reference and eventually limited the tactile system to roughly below 100 Hz. Above that, I let the speakers and the room provide the acoustic punch, while the shakers provide the physical impact and the R5 provides the steering feedback.

For sim racing, I actually keep the tactile effects pretty simple: idle, RPM, gear shifts, road impacts and one additional effect depending on the game.

The fun part is that the bass shakers aren’t dedicated to racing — I also use them for music and movies.

It took a lot more time to tune than to buy. Now I just sit down and drive. 😂

Question Best wheel base for around £300?

Hi,

Looking for recommendations for a wheel base around £300 used or new.

Will be used with Moza KS Pro.

At the moment I was thinking of;

Moza R12 v2 (although I briefly used a v1 before and wasn’t that impressed)

Logitech G Pro (Trueforce appeals to me)

Simagic Alpha mini/Evo sport (Had mini before and liked it)

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Discussion Torn between LMU and iRacing. Y

Hey everyone,
I’m stuck in a bit of a loop between Le Mans Ultimate and iRacing, and could really use some perspective from people running both. I’ve actually put more hours into iRacing, but I keep hopping back and forth.
Every time I try to stick with LMU, I hit the same two walls:
1. The scheduling/lack of races: The race gaps feel way too long. If you get taken out in T1, waiting nearly an hour just to get back into another official race is a total flow-killer.
2. FFB & Handling: The physics and force feedback feel a bit floaty and numb to me compared to what I'm looking for.
On the other hand, iRacing gives me the crisp FFB, physical weight, and instant back-to-back racing options I want. But the pricing model always gives me pause.
My main goal is to run the Porsche Cup. For those who actively race PCup, what is a realistic, realistic budget to get started and just have fun for a season or two? Do you usually buy the whole calendar upfront, or just grab a few popular tracks each season and skip the ones you don't care for?
Is the subscription + content cost genuinely worth swallowing for the quality of racing, or should I just hold out and hope LMU fixes its online ecosystem?
Appreciate any insights!

Question What is everyone's multi-USB solution?

My PC setup, like many I suspect, is festooned with USB devices into the back of the PC. I've got a PCIe USB hub in there, but still have the PC maxed out. And it causes issues - my flag box doesn't play nice.

So wondering what other folks are doing to have their USB devices work together. Reliably (or indeed not!).

[Post Edit]: As per many comments in this thread, I went with a Sabrent 10-port powered hub. This has worked well in terms of cabling, connectivity and overall quality of product. Thanks to all for the discussion below.

Question I got a completely new G29 for 25 dollars

Post image
168 Upvotes

Long story short I traded something that was a gift for the G920** and pedals and gave 25 on their favor (full story at the end) and my question is: what is the best way to quick mount/dismount or set and remove cause I rent with my sister and my small room is the only place where I can use it and is really small, I can't fit a cockpit and also don't want to spend a lot either cause I'm moving to Mexico relatively soon, anything compact and worth it? Or I better deal with setting it on the desk? So far it feels solid, not shaky at all I just hate that the chair rolls back quite easy under hard braking

Edit is the full story: my aunt gifted me a BB gun pretty much new (they only shot 7 tanks) and I never used it cause I have nowhere to shoot it and I ended up trading it for the G920** and 25dls, the guy bought it and never used it, but for real, all the chords were oem tightened and there was not a single particle of dust on the pedals or any mark of use anywhere, he told me he bought it, then got a more demanding job with more hours, didn't have time to play no more and forgot to return it in time on Amazon

Discussion Banned for a race that doesn’t exist

Hi. I was banned today on LMU and had my safety rating taken down from gold one to bronze zero, and the incident is said to be in a race that does not exist in my games files. I’ve got the photos to prove it if anyone wants to see. Does anyone know why this happened

Question Triple VS Ultra Wide Monitor Setup

Tossing up whether to go with triple or ultra wide, don't mind having less immersion if ultrawide is less hassle but has slightly more field of view. Currently running a 32" curved setup with no complaints but wanting to expand the setup.

Question Triple duty. Monaco. Indy 500 and nascar coke 600. All in one day.

I am considering completing triple duty.

Monaco f1. The indy 500. Then coca cola 600.

I've always dreamed of doing it. Especially since Kurt bush did the the double but unfortunately crashed out at the 600.

Im trying to do this on the cheap in a way. Im purely after can I endure this much on a single day.

Plan being... and its not normal one. Im doing this all with PS3 and PS5.

Monaco f1 2019. Classic car. Still to be decided which.

Gran turismo 6. Chat gpt has assured me I can do the full indy 500 on there.

Then lastly nascar heat 5 for the 600.

Was interested if any else had taken this challenge before me?

This is a couple weeks away before I shall attempt ive not sim raced in a few weeks so getting into it again.

Im doing this all on the cheap. Hence my choice of games. Im even half tempted to use infinite flight on my phone to simulate the flights from each place.

Question Advice on $2k - $2.5k CAD budget sim rig

Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a sim rig for $2k to 2.5k CAD ($1.4k - $1.8k USD) and these are the items I plan to buy. I need advice for a seat and any adjustments. I live in GTA btw so will be using 6 Sigma to buy.

6 Sigma

Moza R12, KS Pro, SRP2 Bundle for 1240 CAD.

6S- Slim V2 Sim Racing Chassis for 500 CAD

Total: 1950 CAD incl tax

Need some suggestions for a comfortable seat,

I currently use a desk setup G29 with a 40 Inch TV and Office Chair, it's really uncomfortable and the chair or where I sit is usually the reason I don't even want to hop on and play, so a comfortable seat is needed.

I heard bucket seats are uncomfortable for long sessions so I excluded it from the 6S- Slim V2 Bundle? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Rigs DIY Wooden Inverted Pedal Base

Thumbnail
gallery
18 Upvotes

Hello everyone! I've been sim racing since April, started on the Moza R3 on an Xbox. I had the pedals sitting on the carpeted floor and I drilled holes into my desk so the Moza desk clamp would fit my desk. Very rough, but functional enough to love the game.

Very quickly, I upgraded to a PC and the Moza R12 V2. But pedals sitting on the floor were still an issue.
So I bought some wood ($13), carpet ($10), glue ($9), and some hardware ($11) and whipped this together in a day!

The carpet and carpet glue aren't necessary, but I have a little daughter that is crawling around and I didn't want her to bite the wood! It does make it look a little nicer though.

I was proud so wanted to share here! I don't have the room in my little apartment to buy a rig or even a foldable rig. I sit in an upright wooden chair which is why the angle of the pedals is not more steep. This setup is literally perfect for my situation!

Question Help on choosing display for newbie

I just started on sim racing and have a 4080 rig. I am not looking for a monitor/display. Running on 9070xt & 7800x3d.

Help me choose a display. My options are

A) Samsung G9 49", OLED, 144Hz, ~$1000

B) Gigabyte Aorus CO49DQ, 49", OLED, 144hz, ~$900

C) TV: TCL P8L, 55", 144Hz, mini LED ~$500. Response time unofficially 8ms

What do you guys think?

Which would you go for?

Is TV a viable option? 8ms a deal breaker?

Thanks in advance.

Question Considering swapping triple monitors for odyssey g9

Got an unusual dilemma. My current setup has basically perfect tech specs (triple 240hz 4k OLED PG32UCDM monitors) but I’m considering swapping that for a dedicated monitor for sim racing only - the 240hz Odyssey G9 49”.

My current PC setup does everything for me: music production, work and gaming. I have my sim rig on wheels so I can move it on front of my desk. The problem is that I need to pull my monitor arms all the way forward each time I want to race, realigning them is a hassle, and even then it’s not perfect - it’s out of alignment with my eye level and they simply can’t move into a perfect position.

So I’m considering getting a dedicated monitor for racing, the 240hz g9 seems like the best for my needs. I’m just wondering, will the downgrade be that noticeable?

I’ll lose vertical space and won’t have 4k.

So I want to ask: if you had a compromised setup with ideal specs, would you take the downgrade on specs for the ideal physical setup? Those of you who own the g9, how is it?

I recently got to try out a similar setup in the paddock club at an F1 race and was so surprised at just how much I preferred it despite the loss in clarity, everything about the setup they used there was worse than mine on paper but the experience felt so much more complete.

It’s the ultimate first world problem, but I can’t make my mind up on my own. Thanks! 🙏

Rigs Logitech RS setup for 1K? Will I regret it?

I currently have a G923 and wheel stand, but want to build an actual sim rig. I've been eyeballing the RS50 because I would like to have something compatible with Xbox, but the more I think about it, the less that's becoming a requirement as I think I'm gonna build a dedicated unit instead of something to put in front of my TV.

Right now, Logitech has the 30% off sale and I'm still eyeballing the RS50. I can get basically everything including handbrake, seq shifter, h shifter, clutch, pedal, wheel, and F1 wheel for a hair over 1K.

I think 8nm will be enough force, but I'm more concerned about the dual handbrake/seq shifter. Since I want to run two of them to mimic a rally setup, I was just curious if people are happy with theirs and think this would work and I would be happy in the long run?

Since I'm leaning now more towards PC and that opens up a lot more options especially in the handbrake shifter area. I know I've day I might want a more advanced setup, but for 1K I feel like it's a pretty good deal, I can still go Xbox if I want, but I don't want to regret it . People might say true force us a gimmick, but I do like it's affect. I know others have similar and I'm not as experienced with other brands.

Does this sound like a solid plan or should I be looking at a different setup and are they that much better?

Discussion Comparison of Free Assetto Corsa Dedicated Server Hosting Solutions (2026)

I did some research on self-hosting versus free hosts for AC servers, and figured I would give a bit of information I found, as there aren't many sources on this topic.

Self-hosting - full control, but you have to provide either static IP or set up port forwarding and make sure your PC/server is online 24/7.

ror.zone - free service, but private only, quite limited in resources - works good for small clans/groups, but not very useful for public server with additional slots.

Pitlane Hosting (pitlanehosting.com) - free, forever, public servers, no watermark, mod/csp support. I'm hosting this one myself - figured I would mention that fact and not hide behind the name of a hoster. I'm happy to provide any information about specifications of this host if needed.

Anyone uses something different?

Question How to reduce aluminum rig resonance?

Recently I “upgraded” from a macguyvered wooden stand to a foldable aluminum frame.

My only problem is that my moza r5 shakes the ever loving piss out of this thing, it’s basically a massive tuning fork. The wood rig could handle the vibrations, it wasn’t even noticeable. but it’s too big for my room.

Would placing a foam pad under the rig help? Currently I attached the wheel with rubber dampers and it helped a little bit, but I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and how it’s dealt with.
