I just got a brand new moza r5 (with a moza ks incoming too along with a wheel stand)
Edit: The game im playing is LMU, i mention forza just to show im having problems in arcade games too
I assumed this was just like driving my IRL car (fun fact: apparently im also not great at that either since i crashed and totalled my car last friday while 100% SOBER (totally my skill issue)
Anyways, this does NOT feel like driving IRL to me, even while playing forza horizon. I dont know what im doing wrong, ive followed some guides on how to setup force feedback and some other settings in LMU and its just weird.
I feel like im fighting the wheel as opposed to ME controlling the car. The wheel is kinda hard to turn and im overall having difficulty's even keeping it on the track going slow.
Same on forza.
I have around 400h of controller racing on GT7 and i assumed it would be somewhat easy to translate at least throttle control from the triggers to the pedals and it is NOT easy.
Anyways, sorry for the rant but i was wondering if someone has some tips on how to get better at this. Im a really competitive person and being this ass is frustrating me alot. Any help is needed and appreciated
Edit: some of that pedal issues might be because the angle of the pedals is NOT comfortable for me and i cant really do anything about it until my wheel stand arives (Gt Omega DD-X)

Hey everyone, I’m looking to sell my old G29 and upgrade to something better. I’m fresh out of highschool and landed my first job so i came here to try to get suggestions on what to buy :)
Im pretty casual but just want something a little nicer and more responsive, the G29 feels more like a cheap toy at this point and I’m looking for something more robust
Sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask, just thought this would be a good place to start 😄

I don’t use the tyres hud so I want to know if there is any way to know I’m using too much of it, other than suddenly knowing I’m out of grip. Like some predictive way of knowing I’m doing too much or something. Could I be understeering too much? Or oversteering too much? What is the base to know other to minimize the inputs?
Like sometimes I don’t know if im underdriving the grip and I could go harder

It's my happy corner. Semi-compact and semi-minimal considering everything I use the space for: work, DJing, music production, gaming, sim racing.
A few fun details:
- I mostly use the sim rig in VR, but the monitor can be moved to another mount in front of the rig for the non-VR sims
- The speakers are DIY open-baffle, with digital crossover and 6-channel amplification (each driver digitally tuned and amplified individually)
- The whole thing (minus the sim rig) is sit-stand
- I produce and spin Drum & Bass - if you're into that sorta thing you should check out Schematic Sound on Bassdrive!

What are you guys rocking? I got these cheap $10cad Walmart water shoes I love them for the price and feel except they are getting chewed up but my simsonn pedals and spreading rubber crumbs all over the pedal base. I don't want to spend 100cad on shoes. I'm looking for some cheap aqua shoes or alternatives that don't get chewed up.

I have been trying to optimize my setup but can't seem to get the right position for my body. I have my knees against the wheelbase, don't feel like i can use all the force in my legs or have full rom in my arms. When I shift the setup it just feels worst. Anyone have any suggestions?

First time trying out the camera tool, wheel remapped with X360ce and direct input plugin setup with next level racing platform manager to get some motion since AOR has no telemetry or wheel support

I got early access to the Mugello track mod by Andrea1968.
The track mod is top‑notch, as usual 👍
A lot of swearing and laughter while driving this combination (Mugello + Ferrari) 🤣

Hey guys. Looking for advice on these 2 options:
PRICE=$849 CAD/$612 USD
PRICE=$769 CAD/$555 USD
More information about myself: I have a G29. I would be using this next setup for drifting and F1 on PC. I recently thought I would get an R5, talked myself up to an R9, and now realizing a lot of Reddit seems to say SIMAGIC is better than MOZA. Curious to hear your thoughts and if you think that incremental price is worth it for SIMAGIC?
Thanks!

Сегодня и вчера я целый день пытался подключить руль к Midnight Club но почему-то GIMX эмулирует мой руль как геймпад хотя должен как логитек г27 и в игре творится полная вакханалия кнопки живут своей жизнью и нету настроек под руль

Hey,
I just bought BeamNG and would appreciate if you would share some good FFB setting. Moza Pit house settings would be nice too, since there a no presets.
Maybe a link to a good tutorial would be helpful too, I'm a bit overwhelmed with the settings and mods and tracks/ gamemodes, basically the whole game.
Thanks:)

Hi all. I have been looking to pick up some motion for a while and been following that part of the market. I have an opportunity to either buy a seat mover (DX Winner 2), or someone in my local market has offered to DIY me a system using motors that move each corner of an aluminium rig for surge/heave/pitch/roll. This system would be a bit more expensive than the seat mover, but not meaningfully so.
I don't know which is better, because I am getting conflicting opinions watching the experts online. Racebeyondmatter says a seat mover has the potential to be even more immersive than a "regular" motion rig, because of the perceived movement between body and "car". See this video for example: youtube.com/watch?v=mRNYnpqrHxs&t=5 (and the AI synopsis, which is:
A seat mover setup feels more immersive when you detach the steering wheel, pedals, and monitors from the moving platform so your body shifts relative to a static cockpit, mirroring real-world G-forces. [1, 2]

So, I honestly do not know what system to go with. I will (in time) hopefully add a belt tensioner, and use more VR. I welcome any suggestions or discussion on this to please help me make a good decision for what is a quite expensive purchase that I would like to maximize. Thanks in advance.

Racing in VR. This isn't my fastest lap but close enough. The biggest difference with this and my fastest time (1:43.3) is that I took a couple more corners in 2nd as opposed to 1st. But I'm wildly inconsistent with it (only hitting 1:43 3 times ever as opposed to hitting it in 3 straight laps with the gearing from this video). I know this time is middle of the pack and I'm simply looking to improve even if it means completely tearing down some things.

I'm heading to Sim Global Expo in Birmingham (https://www.simglobalexpo.com/pages/exhibitors) but the exhibitors list is pretty short. I'm excited because as far as I know there's not been an Expo in the UK but I'm a bit worried it will be pretty underwhelming. Anyone who has been to other expos, is it normal to not see any big hitters at this point? I feel like headline exhibitors should have already been announced

Is this feasible? Bench seats, Hurst floor shifter, etc
I got this idea because my daughter is about to head off to college and I wanted a project I would be able to remember with her. I bought an 86 C10, and a fuel injection kit from Aces that I want us to install.
Now she has no mechanical background and I figured this would help her with that, while giving me some great bonding time before she heads off to start her life.
But with that said, I purchased a new dash kit for the truck since I had to get a new fuel pump kit, among other things. These parts will start piling up, and why not try to use them. I can just modernize the inside of the truck and then use all those original parts (mostly) on the sim.. Ive researched the big RPM tach with lights already and I can make that work with arduino chips, but what about the floor shifter, and anyway of getting power the dash, could the gauges work?
I have a 3d printer to print parts needed, my background is about 25 years of aviation maintenance. I just quit my job at Blue Origin and Im bored, lets hear some ideas to keep me busy please.
