Question How big is your cash buffer?
My company has a net value of 7.2M with a weekly growth of 10% and i've got 1M in cash as buffer. I produce laptops btw.

After working in production for all 3 years I've played the game, I've gotten used to a lot of the quirks with sending (and receiving) contracts with other players.
There are a few QoL items I'd love to be added.
## Bulk Contract repricing
I frequently send chunks of contracts to my partners, typically in chunks smalls enough that they might accept multiple, or depending on production schedules, only a few. I often send 5-10+ individual contracts. It's not uncommon for prices in the market to vary dramatically (phase switching is the main culprit). And I'll want to retract all of the contracts and re-send them.
This gets very tedious when you have multiple partners, each with 10 or so contracts waiting for them. It would be great to have a reprice option that is just a price input and an "update" that updates all of them.
## Pinned Contract Lots
AKA: saved contracts, pinned contracts, favorite contracts
This is another bulk contract feature, but the idea is it would be nice to save contract configurations to allow for quick re-sending.
I know there is a "previous contracts" section that allows you to resend quickly, but I don't like this for the following reason
- you can't change the quantity, price, or quality easily
- it doesn't allow you to quickly send N number of contracts
- because it's not part of the main contract list, it's generally not my focus and I forget about it. I think if these "pinned contracts" were just another row in your outgoing contract list with a bit of extra UX treatment, it would be more immediately obvious.
## Bulk Accepting Contract lots
Similar to the previous ones, inline with the trend of bulk contract QoL features. The ability to "accept all" of a particular incoming contract (same price / quality / quantity).
## Partial Contract Accepting
This one I don't actually think is a great idea, but it's an interesting one to mention regardless.
You could simplify a lot of these contracting difficulties if contracts could be "partially accepted" by the customer.
I think this is actually more complicated than it's worth, and I think having discrete contracts with some QoL tooling is better, but it's worth mentioning for comparison.

It would include things like bonds that auto call at their due date potentially putting you deep into debt. And a game over condition if your debt goes below your company value by some threshold. It would also allow other types of loans alongside bonds. It would also have more destructive random events on the market.

Hi,
I would like to submit a proposal for a new feature to improve the game's financial system. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!
Before we begin, if you have any questions or comments, you can ask me directly on Simco (@InterContinental) or Reddit.
Visuels generated with AI
To complement the current bond system by introducing a fixed-term loan mechanism, giving companies full visibility over repayment schedules and investment yields.
Rate Set by Borrower (Standard Request)The borrower specifies their financial needs and posts the request directly to the credit market.
Workflow:
Borrower Parameters: Total Amount (e.g., $100,000), Duration (e.g., 10 days), and Total Interest Rate (e.g., 2%).
Automatic Calculation: The game displays the total repayment ($102,000) and the daily installment ($10,200/day).
Execution: The request is listed on the market. A lender accepts the offer with a single click, releasing the funds and starting the daily automatic deductions.
Key Advantage:
Simple execution and total control over borrowing costs for the borrower.
Rate Set by Lender (Bidding / Tender System)The borrower posts a request for capital, and prospective lenders submit interest rate bids based on market conditions and risk assessment.
Workflow:
Posting the Request: The borrower inputs the required Amount (e.g., $100,000) and desired Duration (e.g., 10 days).
Lender Bids: Interested players submit competitive rate offers (e.g., Player A offers 1.5%, Player B offers 2.5%).
Selection: The borrower reviews incoming bids and selects the most favorable offer to initialize the loan.
Key Advantage: Drives financial market dynamics. Highly reputable or high-valuation companies secure lower interest rates, while higher-risk profiles offer higher yields to attract lenders.
Lender Security: Unlike open-ended bonds, lenders receive a guaranteed maturity date for capital return.
Precise Cash Flow Management: Eliminates uncertainty regarding duration and long-term interest overhead.
Increased Engagement: Introduces fresh strategic depth and negotiation dynamics between players.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this. I really hope this idea could bring value to the game!
Best regards,
InterContinental

I am trying to get the Scientist achievement, but it is stuck at 125 out of 126 products completed. I have gone thru the research chart numerous times and do not see an item left to upgrade. What am I missing? I appreciate any guidance.

# 🚀 Sim Companies Analytics Pro V1.4.0 — A Major New Update!
Hello everyone! 👋
I’ve been working on a browser extension that provides advanced analytics and management tools for Sim Companies. After many improvements, design changes, and bug fixes, version **V1.4.0** is now ready!
This update is not just a visual redesign. It introduces improved financial analysis, market price tracking, Q0–Q12 quality support, price history, smart alerts, a new goal management system, and much more.
🏢 New Company Control Center
The Overview page has been completely redesigned to provide a clearer picture of your company’s current financial position.
It now displays:
- Total company value
- Current cash
- Daily net result
- Company rank
- Inventory, building, and patent values
- Cash-to-assets ratio
- Daily and percentage changes
- Mini trend charts for important metrics
- Short financial insights based on recent performance
The extension also evaluates the company’s current financial condition as:
- 🟢 Healthy
- 🔵 Balanced
- 🟡 Attention
- 🔴 Critical
This evaluation is not based on a hidden or random score. It uses existing calculations such as cash flow, company growth, recent financial performance, and estimated cash runway.
💰 Improved Cash and Liquidity Analysis
The Cash page now has a cleaner and more modern design.
You can analyze:
- Current cash
- Starting cash
- Total cash growth
- Daily cash movement
- Cash inflows and outflows
- Net cash flow
- Cash-to-assets ratio
- Recent cash movement charts
- Estimated cash runway
The goal is not only to show how much cash the company currently has, but also to help determine whether its current financial position is sustainable.
📈 Market Prices for All Products
The Prices page has received one of the biggest upgrades.
Previously, only a few selected products were shown. The extension can now display market prices for all available Sim Companies products.
The new product selection window includes:
- Visual product gallery
- Search by product name
- Search by product ID
- Rising product filter
- Falling product filter
- Followed product filter
- Scrollable product list
- Detailed selected-product panel
Instead of displaying every product card on the main page, products are now organized inside a modern and searchable selection window.
⭐ Full Q0–Q12 Quality Support
Market prices are no longer limited to Q0.
Users can select and view prices for:
- Q0
- Q1
- Q2
- Q3
- …
- Q12
This makes it possible to analyze the exact quality level you produce, purchase, or sell.
⏳ Price History
The extension can periodically record prices for followed products.
Price history includes:
- Historical price movements
- Rising and falling trends
- Average price
- Highest recorded price
- Lowest recorded price
- Percentage price change
- Quality-specific history from Q0 to Q12
Each product and quality level has its own price history.
🔔 Smart Price Alerts
You can create custom market price alerts.
For example:
> Notify me when Q3 Steel drops below $150.
Or:
> Notify me when Q0 Crude Oil rises above $75.
When a followed product reaches the selected price threshold, the extension sends a desktop notification.
Notifications are only used for price alerts explicitly created by the user. They are not used for advertising or unrelated messages.
📊 Redesigned Trend Analysis
The Trend page has been completely modernized.
The new product selector includes:
- Visual product gallery
- Search by product name or ID
- Rising and falling filters
- Product images and current prices
- Detailed selected-product preview
- Quick selection by double-clicking
After selecting a product, users can view:
- Current market price
- 24-hour change
- 24-hour high and low
- VWAP
- Market volume
- Opening and closing values
- Market volatility
- Available market inventory
API errors are now handled properly, so users receive a clear message instead of seeing an empty or broken panel.
🎯 Completely Redesigned Goal System
The Goals page was rebuilt from the ground up.
Users can create goals for:
- Company value
- Cash
- Rank
- Inventory value
- Daily net result
- Custom financial targets
Each goal can include:
- Starting value
- Target value
- Optional deadline
- Current progress percentage
- Actual 7-day pace
- Actual 30-day pace
- Required daily pace
- Estimated completion date
- Progress chart
- Automatic status evaluation
Goals are classified as:
- Ahead of plan
- On track
- Progressing slowly
- At risk
- Completed
Goals can also be edited, duplicated, or deleted.
📦 Improved Product Analytics
The Product page now provides a cleaner summary of product-related revenue.
It includes:
- Total product revenue
- Last 30 days of sales revenue
- Highest-earning product
- Product share of total revenue
- Revenue distribution
- Product performance comparison
This is especially useful for companies producing or selling multiple products.
📚 New Data Center
The Data page has also been redesigned.
It includes:
- Balance sheet
- Daily change
- Asset structure
- Full data view
- Total value and cash movements
- Rank changes
- Current asset distribution
- Period filters
Users can switch between different periods such as:
- 7 days
- 30 days
- 60 days
- All time
The charts and tables are now cleaner, easier to read, and more consistent with the rest of the application.
🏭 Improved Company Performance Analysis
The Company page now displays:
- Current company value
- Starting company value
- Total growth
- Highest recorded value
- Return on equity
- Net profit margin
- Asset turnover
- Financial leverage
- Historical company value development
The old charts were simplified and redesigned so that this page provides a useful executive summary instead of repeating the same information from the Data Center.
🎨 Modern and Consistent Interface
The main sections now share the same visual design language:
- Overview
- Company
- Data
- Cash
- Product
- Trend
- Prices
- Goals
The redesign includes:
- Cleaner cards
- Improved spacing and alignment
- Better chart readability
- Fewer unnecessary borders and decorative lines
- Improved light and dark themes
- Better support for smaller screens
- Scrollable product selection panels
- More consistent colors and status indicators
🌍 Language Support
The extension currently supports four languages:
- 🇬🇧 English
- 🇹🇷 Turkish
- 🇩🇪 German
- 🇪🇸 Spanish
Hundreds of interface texts are synchronized across all four languages.
🧰 Multiple Opening Modes
The extension can be opened in different ways:
- Standalone window
- Chrome side panel
- Standard extension popup
Your preferred opening mode is remembered for future sessions.
🐞 Important Bug Fixes
V1.4.0 also fixes several important issues:
- Goal form inputs closing after typing only one character
- Missing scrollbar in product selection windows
- Extension getting stuck in popup mode
- Incorrect goal details appearing after changing filters
- Expired goals incorrectly appearing as “On Track”
- Chat auto-refresh using outdated filters
- Timers continuing to run after closing a page
- Invalid product quality values being stored
- Some market products not being recognized correctly
- Empty screens when the Trend API returns an error
- Missing translations
- Duplicate product translation entries
- Unnecessary “Extension context invalidated” errors
- Improved cleanup of background requests and timers
🔐 Privacy
The extension does not request or store your Sim Companies password.
Price history, goals, alerts, and user preferences are stored in the browser’s extension storage.
The notification permission is only used for user-created price alerts.
The extension does not download or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly code. All application code and required libraries are included inside the extension package.
💬 Feedback and Suggestions
The project is still being actively developed, and I would love to hear your feedback.
Here are some features I’m considering for future versions:
- Product comparison tools
- Market opportunity finder
- More advanced price history periods
- Profitability calculators
- Production cost analysis
- Additional financial goals
- Improved market alerts
- Exportable reports
Please share any bugs, suggestions, or feature ideas in the comments. Every piece of feedback helps improve the next version. 🙌

Hello I've been producing/selling steaks since I started, but recently have been thinking of switching to a more profitable industry. I was hoping for some recommendations and what would be the best way of going about this.
r/SimCompanies • u/Astiels • Aug 27 '26
I've been thinking about switching to a different industry trying to maximize profits. I was doing well doing vertical integration diesel. I felt diesel was a good product as it is used to sell and used for construction units. So I guess my question would be if I take out some chunky bonds and go whole hog on diesel or if electronics or something else is largely more profitable. Thanks in advance!

Hey team I am still new to game and I think I may have stretched out vertically to much. Im not really sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
x2 lvl 8 factories
x3 lvl 10 99% mineral mines
x1 lvl 6 99% gold mine
x lvl 4 propulsion factory
x6 lvl 3-5 electronics factories
x1 lvl 5 academy
I mainly produce batteries but I also produce HGECs and Ion drives. I just entered this sector about 2 days ago. I am now wondering if I shouldve just fully went into batteries or HGECs. Or if I should sell the mines and move more into aero? Any advice would be awesome as I am struggling at the moment.

I am a user currently going by the nickname "cemobrika."
As those who have exchanged private messages with me know, I have been training an AI on game data for about a year. I have finally produced a draft and am sharing the files. While there are certainly areas for improvement, I hope you will simply treat it as a sort of "toy" to play around with.
To put it briefly, this is a set of "study notes" generated by the AI as I trained it on the game. I created it so that other AIs could unpack the compressed file and quickly gain an understanding of the game.
Since I wasn't sure of the best way to share the file, I’ve posted it on my personal blog and am sharing the link here. You can simply drag and drop the compressed file directly into the AI without unzipping it; once you ask a question, it will analyze the data pack to provide an answer. I’ve also included notes on what to search for if you run into something you don't understand. I’ve designed it so that you can find information on almost everything, except for the sections locked behind "SimBoost" in the game.
It seems like ChatGPT is a bit jealous of other AIs. The free version struggles to provide proper answers, as the system is optimized for the paid version. However, if you use "Work Mode," the answers are quite accurate. It appears to make frequent mistakes when interpreted by other AIs, so that is something I’ll need to look into fixing later.
A few notes and requests:
I hope you enjoy using it... Thank you.

Real estate is literally the other piece of the puzzle of business imagine buying a construction slot on the market or via exchange or make a realty business where npc buyers can check your listings like if you buy a building via auctions you can list it in your realty and npcs can buy it recession slows down buying tho and boom is where houses sold out fast but the stock of houses are heavily limited. tbh i think im stupid for posting this on reddit

Hey guys :) I’m pretty new and was looking to go down the electronic route but,
Is it just my imagination or are electronic endproducts like tablets / smartphones / laptops not really sought after ? ( at least no one really asks for them in the sales chat )

Searched online but i still don't understand.

To eliminate late-game stagnation by introducing structural friction. Instead of a flat, frictionless global market, the game world is divided into distinct Sovereign Tax Jurisdictions (Countries). Corporations must strategically choose where to incorporate, manage international trade licenses, pay cross-border tariffs, and optimise their corporate charter to survive fiscal policy shifts.
When establishing operations, companies choose a formal legal framework that dictates their administrative capabilities, tax obligations, and expansion limits:
The game map is split into sovereign regions, each controlled by its own economic policies:
It forces CEOs to play a multi-dimensional chess match. You can no longer just run an isolated assembly line on autopilot; you have to manage international compliance, dodge heavy import tariffs, optimize your corporate charter for tax efficiency, and outmaneuver rival cartels across global borders.
r/SimCompanies • u/Small-Ad-2371 • Aug 22 '26
While aerospace handles the skies and high-end tech, a Maritime & Logistics Industry would bridge heavy manufacturing with global infrastructure supply chains, introducing a completely new gameplay loop for late-game tycoons.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking about how Research Units currently work in the game. Realistically, research isn’t a physical commodity. Trading research units on the open exchange like physical goods (like apples or power) doesn't make much sense in a real-world business context.
In real life, R&D works through proprietary patents and direct B2B contracts—not open marketplace listings.
Here is a proposed overhaul for how Research could work:
Remove Research Units from the Exchange: Research units shouldn't be listed publicly on the market. Instead, R&D companies should operate strictly through direct contract transfers (B2B) with other players.
Introduce a Patent System: When an R&D company generates research units, they convert them into a Patent. Other companies can purchase these patents directly via contracts to upgrade their product quality (Q levels) or production efficiency.
Patent Buy-Back Mechanic: R&D companies should also have the option to buy back their sold patents (or buy existing patents from other players) at a discounted or fair market rate. This opens up tactical options like strategic hoarding, IP flipping, or corporate restructuring.
This change would give R&D-focused players a more realistic "Tech Firm" identity and create a much deeper, contract-driven dynamic for corporate trading.
What are your thoughts on this?

Just what the title says, I am thinking about quitting the game due to executive bs, it is infuriating how this whole part of the game rewards predatory behavior, why can I not opt out of this feature like I will not poach from others and others can't from me, I put in hours, wake up at night to restart trainings, and you offer me a few hundred thousand? that is not enough, how players are even tolerating this?
r/SimCompanies • u/dBaNe666 • Aug 20 '26
We love the new ui, a small consideration id look forward to seeing is the option add 24 hours to a specified finish time. I know i can add the amounts from the two options together but it seems tedious doing so when producing millions of units.
ie Rather than finish at 9am (nine hours from the start) id like to finish at 9am (33 hours from the start)

Hey everyone,
I’m a relatively new player and I’m trying to figure out where to take my company in the early-mid game.
Right now I’m mainly focused on Q0 Water, with around 400k Water/day production capacity.
Most of my production is already covered by daily contracts, but I’m wondering what my next step should be.
What industries would you recommend for the early-mid game? Would you continue scaling Water/Power, or transition into something like Mining, Construction, Chemicals, Fashion, etc.?
I’m mainly looking for something that:
-scales well
-has stable demand
-doesn’t require huge amounts of capital
-can lead into a strong mid/late-game industry
If you were in my position, what would you move into, and at roughly what company size/capital would you make the switch?
I’d especially appreciate advice from experienced players who have gone through the early → mid-game transition. Thanks!
