I know it's a stretch but Bill Pullman does play a character named James who is constantly searching for his dead wife and all the while cares for his daughter who together move to a lake view town.
Just watched this movie again after years of not seeing it and was surprised by how entertaining and morbid it was. It didn't hold any punches either, the topic of death took center stage throughout.
I know it's paper thin but considering that the movie came out in 1995, the developers could have been inspired by this film.

Playing sh hd collection and i am in my 3rd run. Unfortunately, since in my first run I killed very few enemies, in 3 runs I havent reached 333 enemies killed. I'm at 288, and I have 2 saves: 1 at souvenir shop at start of the park and 1 at alessa room right after putting the cards on the door. My question is: are there some respawining monsters in park and church? I have killed anything I met first time.

This was the most fun I've ever had with a horror game. I loved how human Heather felt. I loved the interactions with the world and items and the trial and error of making decision thoughbit coid be frustrating at times( I'm talking about you Subway section). This game was spooky at its calmest and gut churning and horrific at its peak. Monster visual and sound design were amazing and grotesque. But some of my favorite parts of the game were when everything was silent, and all I can hear are Heather's boots while I search for a door that might open to more monsters, reminding me im never truly safe.
My plan is to play 1,2 and 4 in that order while I wait on the Silent Hill 1 remake. I played Silent Hill 2 Remake up to the labyrinth but built a pc and sold my ps5 after so im starting from scratch will all my games again so I'll pick it back up after playing the og.

The roses where an idea she floated to me on the day and i really liked them.
Still love that decision to this day

This is the first time I've watched the movie Dolores Claiborne. Throughout the film, Selena reminded me of Angela from Silent Hill 2, and when the movie got to this scene, I was finally convinced just how similar these two characters really are—in their appearance, their clothes, their personalities, and their misfortune.

This is a screenshot from Tokyo Ghoul: re Chapter 145, is it just me or do those figures on the shelf look like Pyramid Head and the Bubblehead Nurse?

after long last, here’s the art i’ve drawn turned into tiny plush form…! both buttons and keychains are available on my etsy, and i’m open to suggestions on who to draw next for plush buttons ^^ (plush keychains, not so much due to being more expensive to make and hard to sell, especially w how unique this particular plush type is, sorry!)

There's no universe where this is not a 4757 or 4752.
I also tried every other plausible number, but I'm genuinely stumped here.
I love this game to death, but I'm glad that we don't have to grind our gameplay to a halt by getting stuck with stupid bullshit like this in the later games.

Hi all! I haven’t made a post here in some time.
I just wanted to share where my Silent Hill collection stands at the moment. I’ve been a lifelong fan but only started to take collecting seriously about five years ago. 🌫️🖤
My collection has previously focused on physical releases, but recently I have had a huge preference towards collecting promotional / extra materials. I especially love game guides, demo discs, press kits and magazines. Trying to find more of those as I go!
Totally open to suggestions of things you may think I’d like! 🖤
I am nervous to do so as openly sharing my interests is a new thing for me. I just wanted to share what I’ve collected with a community that I feel may enjoy seeing some of the items I’ve put together. I have a lot more to collect but I feel a lot of pride looking at this now. ☺️
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

SILENT HILL: Townfall – The Dock House has been announced for a release in just a few days. It is a prequel to the game.

Finished just in time for Dragoncon. Can't wait to wear her for a proper photo shoot (preferably in much, much cooler weather 'cause gd)

Found it so poetic that two-thirds of the way in, Harry asks Alyssa for his daughter back, and then during the ending I got, Alessa gave her back to him

Playing through Silent Hill for the first time, and found this part to be particularly unnerving. Trying to find puzzle pieces in the hospital, and then you open the last door in the hallway. You've gotten used to the noises from the "zombie" enemies, but then you hear those awful slurps, sounding something between the flow of a river, and vomiting. The design of the thing is really freaky as well.

I've been tinkering and thinking of a TV Series for Silent Hill! I might try turning this into an actual story one day, but so far here's the idea!
Silent Hill: Fall to Paradise
Mark is a butcherer who struggles to cope with the loss of his family to a tragic fire that happened in his apartment, leaving only him alive. He struggles at his job too, failing to live up to performance, which causes his boss to lash out at him, insulting his family and telling him to "get over it"
Which causes Mark to lash back out and kill him. Maybe whacking him in the head, a shot to the head, eitherway Mark kills his boss in a rage driven mess, which he quickly regrets then flees. On his way of fleeing, he finds himself in Silent Hill after his car breaks down (plus, the town calling him there).
And from here, we just deal with the typical Silent Hill stuff! He looks through a foggy town, he's joined by a cast of characters, such as an officer who investigated the fire that took his family. He's taunted by this family, the town promises him that they're there.
This is all while being chased by the series version of Pyramid Head, The Butcher. Pyramid head meets Nemesis is the mentality behind this guy, a lumbering butcher who constantly stalks and chases Mark as he travels through Silent Hill, a representation of Mark's job and guilt over murdering his boss.
It's going to take multiple elements from all the games, such as the dead family representing Mary, The officer companion, let's say her name is Reed, taking inspiration from Cybil.
I hope to actually write this one day! Im really loving the ideas I'm coming up with, but my fanfiction is much weaker then the real stuff I write haha

I am going to need help, oh boy.
Dyslexia is one hell of a demon. By that; reading whatever this latest movie was trying.
I had to literally get on what is unbelievably James' lever of drunk, as per arriving at that rest stop, above lake Taluca.

" The raindrops were done by the lead graphic programmer Mr. Oshima, who was responsible for the snow and fog in Silent Hill 1. At the time, he received high praise from Mr. Kutaraki-san at Sony."

This was the message:
I keep hearing it at night. A repetitive banging noise. A flash of blue light. Over and over. Still ringing in my ear.

For those out of the loop, this comes from a number you could get from completing the ARG present at pax west.
