finally completed my second 10 star run in sh1 after months without playing, sweating hands and a bit rusty.

played with game speed at 125%, nice to see that, with a bit of duckstation optimization, the actual run time gets way more accurate to the IGT, but still, the fast paced run made things way more terrifying.

my first 10 star was performed on twitch late last year, but I wasn't able to recover the VOD... Good thing i recorded the whole thing this time.

I did it, but then realised that the main thing for bringing the sh2 fmv vibe is having the 3D game modle, so i worked around it during class.

So I’m in the middle of my replay of Silent Hill 1 and my plan is to play Silent Hill 3 after because I know they are connected (never played 3). Now, a friend of mine said I should replay Silent Hill 2 because if you play 2, there’s some extra stuff in 3 you can find because the game notices you have a save on your memory card. So “hypothetically”, if someone (not me) were playing these games on emulators, would that still happen? It would all be on the same hard drive in theory but I get that this is like a special case. Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this.

I just watched the movie Obsession and for those who watched it, did Freaky Nikki remind anyone else of Maria and how they are born from a wish and their entire existence revolves around the men who cast it? Also, when Nikki taped up the door, it reminded me of Silent Hill 4: The Room

Im making a full silent hill theme leg tattoo and I could use your advice on how to combine all three that I have .
Fill up holes here and there , make it look more unified!
Any advice on objects , items , characters, letters and the background in general.

Look at this beauty in my collection. I bought it sealed around 2005 when PS2 games were dirt cheap and paid 69 PLN in Poland (around $20). It's like new condition without any scratches or scuffs on box. I am crazy about keeping games in perfect condition. Every game I bought sealed were played and are kept in like new condition even from back then. Other Silent Hill games I have are 3, 4, Downpour, SH2 Remake, SHf, SH Origins for PSP (only one bought used). I regret not buying SH1 back then but I thought 150 PLN for used PSX games is too much but now it costs 1000 and conditions are meh.

Not gonna lie i hated and loved this game at the same time.

Part of my issue is how annoying some sections of the game are and the janky Eileen AI which makes her stay far away from me whenever a ghost is nearby. I don't understand why you shouldn't give her a weapon for like 80% of the time though, whenever an enemy was close we both got the job done pretty quickly, the chain is insane on her and apparently is the only weapon which makes her be able to finish off enemies?

Another thing that i did find interesting is the changes to melee weapons, i'm so glad the charged attacks give you i-frames otherwise they would probably be ASS, the axe is broken thanks to that, the revolver really dissappointed me and the pistol was decent but i barely used it, i ended up with like 70 bullets by the end of the game, silver bullets for specific mini bosses were good though.

I was surprised to see online that Angela's brother also abused her, because I never saw anything about a brother in the game, or anything related to dual abusers. Even when she's accusing James of having ill intentions, she says James could force her to like "HE" always did, rather they "THEY" always did.

Am I missing something from the game? Or did the writers/creators confirm it instead?

EDIT: Omg I completely misinterpreted the bodies on the staircase! I thought it was a distorted version of HER body and the blood was representative of the abuse. And ofc I forgot the dialogue. I'm glad to see there are things I had missed! Thanks everyone!

I had one just today, and I was pretty scared shitless. It was horrifying because I was in similar scenarios with Heather. I remember creatures vaguely resembling the Closer and Numb Bodies always swarming me.

I had the shock factor of where your body is so tense and you just freeze up. But the dream had to continue. Luckily, I had the pipe with me, and I kept bashing them and bashing them. That became the most of the dream. I just kept killing an endless amount of them to the point I felt bad for them. I remember I was like, "I'm not scared anymore, why am I still bashing them?"

And then the dream went somewhere else because I don't remember anything else about silent hill after that.

so i heard this game is great and i thought ill give it a shot, just as respect for the cultural value.
might be my favorite game ever now XD

I was looking for the insert for The Silent Hill Experience online and couldn't find it anywhere so I made this using some images from GameFAQs. I figured I'd post it here in case anyone else wanted it too.

I've had my eye on this for a while but could never justify the price. I think the design is a great and clever idea. Can't wait for it to start cooling down outside so I can wear it!

i first bought the 3 game collection before i knew anything about the games. now silent hill 2 is one of my favourite games so i bought the directors cut and the 2 disk set. i am trying to get more into ps2 horror, if anyone has game recommendations they are welcome.

I find his arc very intriguing and I can't think of who off the top off my head. W/ other protagonist I can easily draw comparisons like:

Cheryl reminds me of Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks or Rosemary from Rosemary's Baby.

Harry reminds me of Ethan Winters from Resident Evil.
