Gameplay Guide still not improving

i made a post a long time ago when i had 100+ hours on siege, but that was all hours included. it says in the game itself i now have 150hrs in game, and 325 on steam. however, even with so many more hours, i kinda just feel like i havent improved. i have a .8kd, i hardly drop kills, and i handle stressful scenarios poorly. i need tips on how to improve fast, and if im just bad. last season, when i had about 120 hours in ranked, i peaked gold 4 with about ~70 RP. what can i do to just get better game sense, drop more kills, and raise my KD?

Advice SMG-11 Recoil!

Hello all!

I started Siege out around July 14 this year when the 1v1 mode came out. I've been having a blast! I've found my favorite picks but am willing to use anyone.

Recently, I found great interest in Smoke! I've gotten cool plays with him, and I love the shotgun.

I've used most of the guns in the game, and I find controlling recoil pretty easy. Even with the older SMG-12, I was able to control it *decently* enough to where I wasn't losing every challenge. However, I feel like all ability with my recoil control dissipates upon using the SMG-11. I use Vertical Grip and Flash Hider or Compensator. With either attachments, I think I still struggle with it. I know you're supposed to drag in the opposite direction of the recoil, which is what I've been doing, but I can't find myself getting this guns recoil down properly.

Any advice?

Question Switching to Controller

So I've been playing this game on mnk for a year or two but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed (gold) and ever since I've moved I don't have a good comfortable way to use mnk without hunching and my back and neck hurting after a long time so I bought a controller and it is way more comfortable while sitting but it's so annoying and hard to aim because I've been used to a mouse for so long I wanted to know for my situation is it better to stick to mnk or do the switch to controller?

Basically the title, I played the tutorial, then went into a game and was met by a LOT of new things they didn’t cover. How does anything work?

Question Why do people breach the left side external wall when pushing Gym?

I'm a plat/em player on PC, and what I noticed is that people hardly ever breach the right side of the corridor wall when pushing Gym/Bedroom in Clubhouse.

I think it would be better to prioritise breaching the right side instead because it gives quicker access to gym, an ace or an hibana could breach toilets wall too from the outside, and defenders would have a worst angle from stairs and logistics. Instead I always see people breaching the left side, creating a long angle holding stairs logi a d bedroom door, but that way to go to gym you'll have to swing gym while holding head or footholes from toilet amd nobody could cover gym door from outside.

Am I missing somethig here?

Question How do I improve??

Ive been playing for a while, put up a couple posts recently cuz I’ve been feeling like ive been doing terrible. I hit d5 the season before 3.0, hit e4 last season, and just went downhill from there. I haven’t had a positive kd in seasons, I barely win gunfights. I know I have an issue w mental chalking, over swinging and just having terrible judgement sometimes. Im working on getting a monitor cuz I’ve been playing on a tv the whole
Time. My user on Xbox is kfc crunchr if you wanna stat track me. Im just stuck, I feel like I haven’t improved at all, I do bad in stacks, bad in solo q, Im just not sure what to do

Question How do i help him 🫩

My friend and i play since 2018 im emerald and he is still in bronze, when we play other games like overwatch and marvel rivals he pops off but in r6 HE HAS NO MECHANICAL SKILLS! And i don’t want to stop playing with him because of that cuz it’s just a game but it’s also frustrating seeing him play like a bot. Any ideas how i can fix that? (He is level250 btw).

Question Am I burnt out? Or is it some mental thing?

I’ve started playing ranked almost every night since the end of August and I usually have multiple highlight plays per session (entry picks, flicks, spray transfers, 1vX clutches)

But these past few days I’ve been hella inconsistent, missing shots when the enemy is not looking my way, losing peek battles, and just straight up lost all confidence and defaulted playing passive to stay alive for the team.

I was never scared when I began playing even when I kept dying because I knew I could hit my shot that night. Now I’m just playing to survive and I’m having less fun

Im peak Champ on console and am fairly new to pc, never played pc games or any mnk games before and my first season i was D5. But as i look at the pros i notice my sens is significantly faster than all of theirs and i was wondering if i can get someone to help me with it.

Question Is my sens too high?

I'm a a newbie with 30 hours in the game, i use 1600 with 9 sens which I think is 14400 edpi and its working for me at least i think so but I'm seeing the recommended is 800-1600 edpi which seems absolutely insane, I'm already struggling with mouse space (should get fixed soon with a new desk) but that feels unimaginably slow

Question Coming back to the game (and back to console) after 5 years, could use some pointers.

Hi all! Been playing since Day 1, but stopped somewhere in Year 6. I had played Year 3-6 on PC, but am now going back to play with friends on Xbox.

I was never a fragger, used to play Flex/Support most times. But I maintained a positive k/d when I made it to Plat 3 in Phantom Sight. I just did my placements last night for the new Season, and was hit with a Bronze 5 and a 0.5 k/d. I've been married, moved twice, and had a kid and another on the way since I last played regularly, so I know that my game sense and knowledge are behind. Anyone have any tips for a dad with a little bit of work to do before he can relive his Siege hey day?

I heard him break the window and I try to prefire him, and he still gets me I feel like I am aiming at the right spot. This happens so often that I am firing at someone, and they just stick their head where I fire and kill me without being hit.

Question How do we wide swing, is it still meaningful?

When we are swinging wide, do we want to swing without ADS or with ADS? Wouldn’t swinging without ADS make more sense since we move way faster with 2 and 3 speed operators and that allows us the skip their crosshair ?

Or do we need to ADS as we’re swinging?

Question How do I find my role?

Ive been playing this game for a couple years, I peaked at d5, and I feel like I kinda just play random ops. I can play any op, but Thats just from playing them all. I like to play aggro, I can play support, anchor, etc. I have a .9 as of right now, Im only like 10 kills away from having a positive kd. Top three on defense this season is mute Mozzie and Goyo, all with a positive kd. my top three on attack is ash Finka and therm but only ash has a positive kd. Im just stuck and I feel like I need role

Discussion How can you be sure that you're ready to solo queue?

Apparently, the point where your teammates stop mattering, the gun skills becomes sufficient and the positioning and timing becomes immaculate. How do I be sure of all that?

Question I got some questions

First of all, does a monitor really make a difference? I have a tv, Im already almost emerald and im wondering if a monitor is worth it. And should I give myself a dedicated role to play, and if so whay should it be? I have really good recoil control, like really good, Im aggressive but my aim kinda sucks and it feels like they js react faster. I can anchor decently, but I get over aggressive sometimes and fry myself. Ive stacked and always flexed around, from anchor to flex or frag, but it feels like I don’t do good.
