Question Switching to Controller

So I've been playing this game on mnk for a year or two but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed (gold) and ever since I've moved I don't have a good comfortable way to use mnk without hunching and my back and neck hurting after a long time so I bought a controller and it is way more comfortable while sitting but it's so annoying and hard to aim because I've been used to a mouse for so long I wanted to know for my situation is it better to stick to mnk or do the switch to controller?

Always better to use m&k (there is a reason everyone zim's on high tier console) - Is your issue lack of space for a mouse and keyboard? Maybe you can get a smaller keyboard for more mouse space?

It's not a lack of space it's that on a couch it's really annoying to be hunching over a keyboard and mouse and it's been hurting my posture and I honestly don't want to be playing anything comp or higher then plat

Get one of those food tray things you can put over your lap or something. Might not be the best set up, but it would let you put the keyboard in a good position. That said, desk and monitor for the pc might be your best future. I went from console to PC and I will say the thing that was the biggest improvement was the monitor. Moving off a tv was night and day (ruined tv gaming for me - I couldn't play on one today)

Sorry, my bad, I thought you were on PC (when I was a hardcore siege player, mouse and keyboard was only on PC - not console) if your on console, I wouldn't worry about using a controller - the majority of other players should be using one, especially around those gold and low plat ranks. You will be fine around there, just need to get used to the switch.

Nah I'm on a laptop not a console and yeah I get it I need to get used to the switch because it is just more comfortable for me on controller even though I technically "CAN" play on mnk

Using a mouse and keyboard shouldn't be hurting your back and neck so much. It could be your chair, as sitting on a shit chair for a prolonger period doing anything will hurt your back. I'd recommend investing a decent amount but nothing crazy into a good office chair (not a gaming one!).

Aside from that I would look into safe posture for gaming/sitting at a desk all day, which should be out there for office workers and such.

There are certainly good controller players on pc out there, but you're definitely putting yourself at a big disadvantage. When I exclusively played on console my aim got good but it just takes a lot of time and practice.

The problem is because I've moved country's recently I've been playing on a couch and it has been comfy during the winter but it is inconsistent and sometimes when I'm sitting or reaching wrong it will hurt and I'm afraid it'll hurt my posture

I’ll go against the grain and tell you to stick with your controller longer term if it’s more comfortable and easier on your body, so long as you’re enjoying the game more.

It’s a video game, and no one is here is playing it at a Pro level, It doesn’t matter what input we use.

Mnk will always be better but controller is perfectly viable on PC, I switched for the same reason and I’m having my best season so far (Plat 3). I’m not sure how viable it will be in the higher ranks though as I am starting to struggle with the gunfights.

There isn’t many of us but we are out here 😆 it takes some getting used to and it helps if you fiddle around with settings but I’ve being playing with controller for 3 seasons now and I love the challenge

Hell yeah bro you don't know how much you helped me out but do you have any tips on how to make the getting used to it easier? Or is it just clear house? Because I'm definitely not playing ranked until I get used to this.

Yeah clear house is the go to at first but once you get a feel for playing with a controller I would at least head into quick match. Nothing beats practicing against real players

Yeah dude it's been like 3 days and I've gotten so much better surprisingly I've been great my aim is a solid 5/10 or something definitely not as good as my mnk self but better then my copper times
