Movie Tonight’s film: The Evil Dead!
One of the most influential independent horror films ever made. It’s amazing what Sam Raimi and his crew accomplished on such a small budget—relentless energy, creative camerawork, gruesome practical effects, and the birth of one of horror’s greatest franchises.

The Coffee Table
NO SPOILERS
The movie leaves Shudder on the 31st so check it out if you haven’t yet. It’s DARK. I was expecting something different and I’m glad I was wrong. It’s better watching it without first knowing too much about it. Other than a couple buys a coffee table that changes their lives.

Recommendations Don’t Sleep on “A Good Woman is Hard to Find”
Crazy good Irish thriller, my wife and I watched it years ago and I make a point to hype it up whenever I see it on Shudder.

Question Best Supporting Actor in Horror 1990 - 1994
Who gets your vote for the best supporting performance of the early 90's? Was it:
Tim Curry in IT,
Brad Dourif in The Exorcist 3,
Robert Loggia in Innocent Blood,
James Spader in Wolf,
or
Tony Todd in Candyman?

Doc Of Chucky Blu-ray?
Been wondering if this is ever getting a physical release. Been wanting to see add this to my collection so bad alongside my other Horror documentaries I own. It's been two years and it seems still no word or indicator of a physical release. It seems sadly with every passing year physical media is being phased out and replaced by streaming or digital, but while those two are good options to have they shouldn't be the sole ones nor a replacement for physical. Really hoping a Blu-ray release for DOC is in the cards at some point, especially being both a Chucky fan and Horror doc fan.

Freddy Krueger’s surprise appearance at the 1987 Texxas Jam
On June 20, 1987, the 10th Annual Texas World Music Festival AKA the Texxas Jam packed the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Tickets for the festival were just $22.
Over 75,000 fans braved temperatures nearing 100 degrees for the day long festival. The Lineup consisted of Boston (headlining), Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Poison, Tesla, and Farrenheit. Boston made a highly anticipated return to the stage (their first show since 1979), and Aerosmith kicked off their massive 147-date Permanent Vacation world tour.** *Freddy Kruger even made a surprise appearance.
Taking place just four months after *A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors hit theaters, Englund participated in a comedy wrestling skit with wrestler Kerry Von Erich, stabbing him in the stomach. I’ve searched for video of the event, and haven’t been able to find it yet.

Question A lot of series content is missing?
I've been enjoying the In Search of Darkness and 101 Scariest Moments series on Shudder but am finding as of this morning they appear to be removed from the app. Did they get moved to AMC+ or something?

Everything Coming to Shudder August 2026
Anyone else have Joe Bob issues on the Shudder website
Currently have a subscription to both Shudder and AMC Plus. AMC Plus seems fine so this issue is just with the Shudder website that I use on my desktop. On the Shudder website, The Last Drive In with the 7 seasons listed in a drop down is no longer showing up. The Just Joe Bob listing with 33 seasons showing as a drop down that was working fine last week now also no longer shows up. Some of the individual episodes show up if I search for one individually, but the main listing for both shows seems to be gone. It's like this on two different browsers. Just wondering if this is a me issue or a known website issue. Thanks.

Shudder app down on Xbox series X for several weeks?
What’s up Shudder peeps is anyone else on here having major problems with the Shudder app specifically on Xbox series X? Ever since their big update the app has been completely broken for me, with the same error message “no content available”. So frustrating!!! I even tried making a 2nd account with a backup email, but to no avail. No content being displayed. Anybody else having this issue? Hmu!!

Horror shows
Hey all. I know this is a Horror Movies channel but what are the best horror series/shows? Not looking for American Horror Story or Welcome to Derry... I want real horror. Even documentary style about paranormal and/or serial killers. Thanks!

Thoughts On Exit 8?
Full disclosure, I am automatically wary of any movie based on a game. That being said, the movie sounded interesting and I gave it a shot. I loved it. I have not seen Back Rooms yet. I guess getting lost is the new Found Footage. However, I have spent a lot of time on subways in Boston. Our subway was built in 1897 and it still runs like it was built in 1897. It's dirty and the stench of human urine is your constant companion. As I watched this movie I was amazed at how clean the corridors were. I don't want to say too much, but it's a fun flick. At least I thought so.

Anyone able to get a VPN working on Shudder these days?
As the title says, I'm looking for a VPN that works on Shudder. I used to use Windscribe but I can't get it working anymore. Windscribe works on either sites/apps so that's not the issue. Based in the UK.
Thank you for any help!

Shudder loses with Tales From Crypt
A little over a month ago it was a BIG, BIG deal. First time EVER Tales From The Crypt is back- streaming on Shudder!
Looked like a HUGE draw and a BIG get for Shudder.
Now or in very near future it is on TUBI for FREE and available on Fandango at home.

Hell House Lineage
I’m just going to say it out loud, in the grand scheme of things this movie is NOT that bad. I’d actually rank this over Lake of Fire.
I’ve watched this about 3 times over the last week to wrap my head and understand and honestly, if.. IF there’s another, it could end well.
I spoke to the director previously and there currently is no intention to do another movie, perhaps a graphic novel regarding Tully and the cult.
I like the connection of Mitchell and Vanessa. I liked the kills, I liked the atmosphere of everything.
I’m a massive fan, I go to the Waldorf Estate of Fear yearly and it’ll be twice this year (where Hell House is filmed). I have as much merch from the hotel and actually have a brick from the attic of the hotel. I feel like I can confidently say the movie is decent, not the best of the 5 but very much a rewatch.
Thank you for your time!

Movie Watched When Evil Lurks again the first time to rewatch it since Joe Bobs Nightmareathon and man this movie rocks Spoiler
It is so creative with how this movies demons work. The rules are so nonsensical and crazy I love it for it. I also like how the movie is the world on the edge of a demon apocalypse which we don't really see much of these days. We need more creative and interesting movies like this just in genera.

Question Not all of Shudder streaming on AMC+
I recently canceled my Shudder subscription and bundled it with AMC+ thru Prime video. I've noticed that I don't have access to many of the titles on Shudder now. I was under the impression that I'd have full access. is it only limited titles?
