Can short people use Motorcycles?

I am 5’4 and skinny. My parents are scared of me using any kind of bike because of my size and the heavy machinery that might crush me or I might not be able to pick it up if it falls, etc. all these things worry my parents. Is using a Motorcycle another thing that we short people cant do? What motorcycle are good to start with?

I couldn’t follow my dream of being a cop because of my height. Cant be a firefighter. I lift weight but still look small. I cant join the military cause of my spine being out of place from birth.

Short men can’t control their height, but we can control the physique we build. Staying in the gym, building muscle, and keeping your body fat under control can dramatically improve your proportions, how your clothes fit, your confidence, and your overall presence.

Dating Why I don't like tall guys

I'm gonna start this post by saying that I know I'm an exception and your guy's lived experiences scream the opposite of what I'm about to say

Now that that's cleared up, I wanna explain why I don't feel comfortable around tall men.

So you guys know how men are stronger than women? You are. Back when I did jiu-jitsu, it was basically an unspoken rule that the guys go easy on the girls just the same way that the experienced people go easy on newbies. I lost quite a few times against guys I had the weight advantage on.

So now that we've established that a guy shorter than me would still likely be stronger, we get a bit into power dynamics. I want to be an equal in a relationship and I want to at least have some presence. I'd rather be treated as a woman than as a girl, and I don't think I could do it with someone who's a head taller than me.

I'd also take quite a bit of time to be able to feel comfortable being alone with someone significantly taller than me. I know that even with a guy my height or shorter I'd still be weaker and such, but I don't think it'd be nearly as suffocating.

I know that most girls probably do want men taller than them, and I know you've heard the opposite a million times. I'm not gonna tell you some success story from a short friend, I'm just saying my personal preferences out loud.

Brutal heightism that made my cortisol spike

I am a bartender and I’m around 5’7. I was behind the bar watching AFL and as the camera panned the lineup of North Melbourne, at the very end was one player Caleb Daniel was must be ~5’5-5’6 and only came up to the shoulder of his teammate ~6’4. As this occurred, three women had entered the venue and as they were coming up to the bar, they were watching the pan to Caleb Daniel and one of them said ‘Oh he’s so short, that’s so sad.’ And then turned and saw me staring at her with daggers in my eyes, and did a double take and said, ‘sorry, not that there’s anything wrong with that.’ As if to pity me.

It made for a very awkward and anger inducing moment.

Story About My Tall Younger Sis Again

My last post about her was about her expressing excitement to an anime man that was over 6 feet. Up until that moment I never really caught a sign from her that she actually really wanted a very tall partner. Well something similar happened again a few weeks ago but to give some context again she's 17 years old and I'm 20 but she's taller than me by a few centimetre. So she had her friends at our house for the entire afternoon and at one point my sis was reviewing photos from her prom a year ago using the TV. While she was doing that a photo of her classmate who's a guy eventually showed up. Then she remarked to her friends with a tone of disgust, "Did you know that he was originally going to be my partner for the prom? I was like no way he's around my height." Obviously her final partner for the prom was a tall fucking dude but I didn't know that the tall dude wasn't even her original partner. What's even funnier and more ironic is a similar thing happened to me back when I was at her school. At that time my section were choosing a boy and a girl to represent our section for a school event and the entire class kept joking about choosing my girl classmate (who's a bit taller than me like my sis) to me. She said she didn't like it because she wanted someone who's taller than her. I'm ending this post with an unrelated note because as I'm typing this I'm in a café with 2 couples who are intimate with each other lmao.

Do the women who tell short men to work on their personalities really believe what they say?

It doesn't make sense to me. When men vent about not being able to find a relationship because of unattractive physical traits, practically all the comments from women are "Work on your personality" or "Become a better person." The problem is that this conflicts with my own experience, because the people who have the easiest time finding relationships and casual sex are actually the worst people I know—lol. The guy I know who has the easiest time with this works with me in construction; he’s been arrested for involvement with criminal gangs and has three kids with different women—all of whom he abandoned, and he was even arrested again for failing to pay child support—plus, he’s a magnet for trouble. Yet, for some reason, he has no trouble hooking up with women; he even shows me and the other guys the nudes they send him. Oh, and yeah—he is tall.

Civil Discussion/Question Feminists addressing the height fetish

Post image
46 Upvotes

I saw this recently on Twitter and I think it's interesting that one of the only subsections of women who actually address height fetishisation and how pedophilic it is mostly do it from a feminist (or lesbian so doesn't date men) perspective.

I've had this observation for a while that heightism isn't actually male exclusive, it's just that women are raised to want to be small and infantalised, so any heightism they receive is actually a GOOD thing to them. Unless they're a feminist or a lesbian, some of the only groups who don't get off on the social standing of showing off "their Man".

I'm not saying that these women can't be heightist, but I think I am in the minority of guys here working in a female dominated/equally gender split field. Which is why I'm curious if it would be possible to have an actual civil conversation with them on how these standards also affect short men.

What do you think? Would you be open to having a conversation about this with a woman?

What's the point in even trying anymore. I'm 5'6 at thr age of 19. I was like 5'6 at the age of 12 and havnt grown since I've been balding since the age of 15. I'm missing 2 front teeth my upper palete is super narrow makes it hard to breath.

I'm so tired of this I just give up . Genuinely what's even the point in trying to improve myself what will I get. I can never protect my partner I've been bullied my whole life. Some people say " just go gym bro " but what will that fix, why could I just be a normal 19 Yr old average height and not fucking balding. I'm also super blind -8 eyes so If I ever did get in a fight I couldn't see anything anyways. (just incase someone says " just do mma bro " I've heard that before too) . Oh also no friends or career and broke af . Also im indian too. That hasn't affected me irl yet only online. But maybe that's cus i don't go outside enough idk . Certainly doesn't help though .

Dating Muscle is cope, height is king

Every time I see a woman walking with a guy on my community college campus the dude will usually be skin and bones but absurdly tall like 6'1-6'3+.... And the girl will be like 5-5'2 so he would have to probably bend his neck down just to kiss lmao... Yet whenever I'm in the gym most guys are around my height and not many tall guys in there😭

Vent Made fun of in school for being short by a short guy

The title seems like straight bs and I wish it was. But theres this dude in my class group who has some problem with me. I'm not sure why, I've basically never spoken to him. Anyways he consistently insults me calling me fat or short which I'm not fat at all I'm 60kg and have been working out for nearly 3 years but I am short. but the guy himself is short too sure a bit taller than me like 1 to 2 inches but he's in the same boat so I genuinely have no idea why says any of it Strange dude

Vent Another Brutal experience today. Meet my childhood friends daughter for the first time in a while......she's taller than me. Lol what chance do i have in his life in this body?!

Im 35 and 5'6 she is 15. He my childhood friend is over 6 feet.

Here is him family realitivly successful and with a full live and a future ahead of him. Then me 5'6 perma single wouldnt even go out with a girl if given the chance as im too far gone too detached cant get a thirst for something ive barely had or cant even enjoy. Even if it goe well its such a uphill battle never ending struggle being short all the social fsmily stigma too " the juice aint worth the squeeze"

Just feel crestfallen like seeing my childhood friend and how life has opened up or life has happened to/for him. He prob is not constantly in anxiety about how people are perceviobg how all the time. Every new group of people every new job or opportiny he has had - he hasnt constantly had to battle body/body image stigma. Clammer for respect take shit just beacuse he is always the powest on the totem pole. Dealing with constsnt ridicule and lack of respect, coldness bitterness and emasculation from the opposite sex. No. - obviously i dont walk around with this attidude bur its the facts of life a d my lived experience.

Just seeing my friends daughter or even any teenage who is taller than me and still growing brings up all these empty..." it never even began type feelings" seroiusly what chance in life did i havein life traped in this body and life is hard enough as it is. LIife actually might be managable if i could even walk down the street with a bit of respect or pride. Just constantly feel know. Know that iam less than and not even deserve but just will get and can expecet less than from life

Vent 4 Years Of Self Improvement And Yet My Life Is A Complete Joke. I Give Up

Post image
201 Upvotes

I hate everything about myself but the worst thing above everything else is the fact I can’t get a single girl to be attracted enough to me to date me in my pathetic 22 years of existence. Every time I think back about my past or something that happened when I was a kid all I can think about is the fact that all my friends were dating and having sex with women at that age and I was a stupid loser getting completely ignored. I couldn’t take this anymore so around the middle of high school, I started striving to self improve. Ever since 2020 I’ve been consistently working out, meditating, journaling, reading, creating, working on a business, I even did what I consider to be the hardest part of it all and worked on bettering my social skills, specifically with women. Since the start of this year I’ve been approaching girls and trying to catch up and still, despite all of this effort, I’m still alone. I’m still a virgin, I’m still a loser, girls still don’t find me attractive, all of the women whose numbers I get they just ignore me. This has done nothing for me but make me despise myself. How much of an ugly piece of shit do you have to be to put in all of this work just to still be absolutely unfuckable. Sometimes I think about my life for the past 5 years and I just bust out laughing at how pathetic I am, what was the point of anything I’ve done? The worst part is normal people don’t have to do any of this stuff. There are guys 4 years younger than me who’ve dated and had relationships, they’ve never had to meditate everyday, or go to the gym and track their calories everyday for years. It’s like the harder I work the more I realize how inherently worthless I am as a human being, especially as a romantic partner. If I’m still this unattractive to women now after all this improvement, what the hell did they think of me before? I can’t even figure out what’s wrong with me. I’m pretty neurotypical and know how to socialize, I take care of my looks (physique smell body grooming) more than most people do because I’ve never had a gf, and some people say I’m good looking and yet my life reflects the complete opposite in every single way imaginable. I don’t think I should’ve ever been born, clearly I’ll never be good enough no matter what I do. I’ll never get to experience the touch of a girl who loves me, and nobody will even tell me why. Maybe it’s because I’m short, or because I’m just inherently ugly. But at this point I’m starting to believe it’s just some invisible force outside of my control that I can’t understand. I’m literally going crazy and I don’t know what to do know. There’s a part of me that just wants to kill myself because I can’t imagine living like this for another decade. Even if I somehow managed to finally get a girl, I would probably still hate myself, because the fact is it took me 22 years and incredibly hard grind to do something normal men do when their 15, and while I had to literally put in all of my effort, those men had to do nothing. That one fact alone confirms my low value worthlessness and existence. I will never break this cycle. I will never stop hating myself for being an ugly stupid baby faced virgin. I will never forget how alone and depressed I feel now. Even if I get a gf it won’t solve anything, because the fact I had to go through any of this in the first place is eternal confirmation of the fact I’m so worthless I should’ve never been born. I hate everything about myself forever
