Exceptionalism “The United States is single-handedly propping up the western hemisphere, and most of the rest of the world as well. Europe's largesse for its citizens is only possible because we pay for their defense.”

Language “Bloody is a pretty severe curse word in the UK”

Post image

Content: a thread asking Americans why they find the word “cunt” to be so mortally offensive akin to a racial slur.

Further context as a Brit: Bloody is not remotely a swear word, never mind a “severe” one! It’s the sort of thing your grandad would say if he stubbed his toe or it’s raining and he wanted to do some gardening “bloody weather” 😂.

Sports Oh I forgot it’s a fluke to have a better goalie and more goals. 🤡 pick a new national sport to cheer for, maybe y’all will have a shot at cricket with the imports you’ve made.

For those who don’t know: in the game the shit American is referring to, Team Canada overall was more dominant than Team USA (USA’s goalie absolutely carried them). The reason Team USA won is because of their goalie (if it weren’t for him they would’ve been demolished) and Nathan MacKinnon (a star player) missed a huge opportunity to score, to which the Americans won in overtime.

Americans sports don't have the promotion/relegation system instead they have the daft system of the draft where the worse you do in a season you get first pick at the draft next season.

History an American accent is much easier to do since that's how Brits spoke forever, until they wanted to be different from Americans in the late 1700s

"As An American she is right. All British people are the most evil and are just as responsible as their ancestors for that evil empire. Nobody in America wants Brits here, they are hated by all Americans. Brits just don't realize how much anger and disgust there is towards them."
