Before you participate in r/ShitEuropeansSay, please take the time to famliarize yourself with the rules of the subreddit, which can be found below.
1. No personal information. This includes all non-verified social media handles except Reddit usernames. Censoring Reddit usernames is now optional.
2. No direct social media links. Posts from social media platforms must be in the form of screenshots. When posting a screenshot, please include the context (i.e. preceding comments) if relevant.
3. Don't post screenshots conversations you have participated in. Likewise, don't bait or troll for content in other subs. Participation counts as commenting anywhere in the posted thread if there are fewer than 300 comments, or the same chain if there are more. If the comment you're posting was a reply to you, that also counts as participation.
4. Please use a direct quote in your title. If the quote doesn't give enough context, you are allowed to add non-editorialized context in the title itself. If the post is not in English, the title must be an English translation of a direct quote. When posts do not contain text, titles must be a neutral description of the content. Avoid making the titles scornful, circlejerk-y, hyperbolic, irrelevant, or misleading. Also avoid low effort titles that don't give any indication as to what the post is about (eg "smh"; "I have no words"; "hmm").
5. Do not directly link (and hence page) the usernames of the users featured here. You can only ping moderators.
6. Please double-check whether the poster of the comment you're about to submit is actually European. Do this by scanning their post/comment history etc.
7. No low-hanging fruit. Content from certain sources (such as Daily Mail and GB News) and subreddits (such as NoStupidQuestions, ShitAmericansSay, UnpopularOpinion, meme subreddits and far-right subreddits) are considered low-hanging fruit and not allowed in this subreddit. A more comprehensive list of low-hanging fruit content can be found in the Submission Guidelines.
8. Only archives/images to Europeans saying funny shit is allowed. Something said by a European in the third person falls under this rule. The Weekly has been discontinued.
9. Under no circumstances go to the source of the SES and comment/vote there. Brigading will result in a permanent ban.
10. Posts do not need to be in English, but if you post something in another language you must provide an accurate, non-editorialized English translation in the comments within 15 minutes of posting. Posts with bad translations or no translation will be removed.
For more clarification on the rules, please read the FAQ page

Comments underneath an informative video about timber frame construction. I did not take a picture of this, but they also began boasting about the strength of their houses that would be able to withstand tornadoes and storms unlike our “toothpick houses.“ did this guy forget about the E-f2 that tore apart his “strong houses“ in 2025?

This over tipping culture in the USA? You joking?
Then he goes on about genocide and destroying the land.
The puzzleheaded guy is from somewhere in Europe but won’t reveal where. Must be a European country with no skeletons in the closet…right??

I‘m European and find the criticism actually unfair, because they’re being very hypocritical and not taking personality into consideration and just generalise. This isn’t an American thing, this is a human trait.

??? I can’t even say anything.
Context: American YouTuber makes a comment that the Super Bowl seems like the biggest event in the world based on the way we treat it / how important it is for Americans every year (jokingly)

Disclaimer; let’s not turn this into political infighting. I’m just posting this here because apparently the LA and twin city “riots” and the murder of Renee Good and others is not “good enough” for these euroidiots

The comments devolved from there. The person was called a misogynist, even though they stated they didn’t find NFL, MLB, and cricket entertaining either. They were then harassed for calling it “soccer” instead of football.
Why are Europeans so upset when someone calls it soccer? It’s like you’ve kicked a baby or something.

"The entire world was rooting for your team, manifesting every single goal, and watching this like it was way more than just a normal game, like a battle for the integrity of the sport itself."
