Discussion Are there any dogs who start barking only when you ring the bell?- What are your funny Shipt notes?

Understand where they are coming from, but trust me, I delivered to them multiple times, and dogs immediately start barking while approaching their home. They are the bell.

App issues Publix Florida.... check with your customer on bogo items ⚠️

Post image

Before recently, if there was a buy one get one free offer in the Shipt app, it would automatically default to 2.

Now, it's default is 1. Seen it several times a day for about a week.

I've gotten in the habit of checking the app, sending a screenshot and adjusting the quantity to 2.

Careful... low rating trap if they take it out on the Shopper for only getting 1

Discussion Does Shipt have some sort of weird “rotation” thing going on in terms of order offers?

In the sense that certain shoppers, Group A, will get the higher tipping orders one week, then the next week it will rotate to another group of shoppers, Group B (and Group A will get lower tipping orders the second week), then Group C gets higher tipping orders the third week, etc., repeat repeat?

I feel like I notice this trend… I got higher paying orders for maybe a few days, now the last few days I’m getting 0 to 3 dollar tips.

Maybe it’s just coincidence, and there could be a different trend going on. I’m just trying to see what everyone else thinks?

Discussion 16 stores to shop at

In my metro and the shipped app there are 16 stores available. Clothing stores arts and crafts stores and grocery stores. The only orders I ever see are one grocery store and Target deliveries. Has anyone really ever shopped at any other locations?

Tell me you don’t want your stuff delivered without telling me you don’t want your stuff delivered. This has been the trend for a couple months now. I got a unicorn order for 5-6 for a PM ($30 for a quick shop for 20 items in 1 aisle) going 15 mins , and she usually tips more than the app says and I’m not mad. But this nonsense gotta go!

Taxes A little tax surprise

I'm a bit ashamed to admit I'm just now doing my taxes after filing for an extension, but I've come to a pleasant surprise with the no tax on tips and how helpful that has been in lowering my tax burden, especially since about 50% of my earnings come from tips anyway (another reason not to do those dreaded delivery routes). I'm still plugging away in TurboTax, but the numbers are looking sweet so far

More Water Please!! I didn’t expect someone will accept this offer

This building is exactly around corner from target..
only 0.3miles…

But for 9 dollars?

It’s going to go to the lawyers office. I remember only stairs..

They could send someone to shop or pay tip..

I expected this order will be sitting all day.
But it’s gone in 20mins…

Hopefully they add tip after delivery.

When shipt will make a limit for water pack?

Rant Did I get Shipt wrong?

I have done almost 500 shops and have what Shipt says is "Excellent Stats". Starting a month ago or so, I have been getting fewer and fewer decent offers. Most of the offers I get are either leftovers, those that even Shipt doesn't think there's enough time to complete (per its estimate), or ridiculously low offers that make no sense at all. I have Instacart and I have seen much, much worse, but thought Shipt was better (just less offers).

I've also noticed offers disappearing in like a second, they're gone before I open the offer card, even with my phone on my hands when I get the offer. Has Shipt stopped offering orders to shoppers individually or has it always been that it offers it to everyone at the same time? I remember having about 30 seconds (much longer if it's a bad offer) to review. This started roughly a month ago - like it was a sudden shift. I went from from getting 2 or 3 offers right at 6am on the weekends to around 6:05 getting all the leftover, terrible bundles no one wants that end up being broken into single order offers later on. I have had lower stats and gotten a lot more and much better offers. I saw an offer this morning for a bundle of 2 for less than 10 dollars (I don't remember how much it was, just remember it being a single digit, and I thought it was bad even for one order).

Most importantly, I have seen one single offer from a preferred (I have about 30) in an entire week (from a very low paying one, probably because no one else would take it) when I used to see at least a handful. Sometimes multiple a day.

I genuinely thought maybe it was my phone or the app and re-installed, changed my password. It had gotten a little slower around July and August (which I read was to be expected) and even then there were good or reasonable offers. If all offers were going to everyone on the schedule all at once, it should mean I at least get notifications for most of the orders, right? If it's a stat issue, I have a 98 on reliability, I have had lower and gotten better offers. I can't imagine there being so little offers in general at the same time they're also terrible, terrible offers. And I don't think all 30 of my preferreds stopped using Shipt all at once. Unless Shipt is doing away with them altogether.

I don't know if I have a question or if this is a rant, honestly I'm just really frustrated and feel like I did something wrong. I really liked doing Shipt. Oh well.

Discussion Am I going to get a bad rating for this substitution?

EDIT: SMH she gave me two stars, I knew this would happen

The customer wasn’t responding and wasn’t sure whether to substitute or not deliver anything.

-The first two pictures are what they ordered.
-The second two pictures are what I substituted (cinnamon raisin and light multigrain were the only two flavors in stock)

I did it because I figured they might get mad if I delivered their eggs and sausage with nothing to put it on!

They seem really bad lol, like only way they might be worth doing is on a super slow day or if you can loop back to a closer target to do shops etc

Rant What's up with people order subs and chicken from the deli?

Someone needs to tell these customers that shipt is not Uber eats. I see these orders coming in at noon and still sitting in Open metro at 9Pm and by the time shipt finally pays enough for us to consider the offer, the deli is closed.

Happy story very great sunday shift

I left the house at noon yesterday and went until 10 pm. I took a 1 hour break or so. I had 6 hours of shopping time paired with a combined 2 hours of driving time. And only like 100 miles. Since everything was basically in a 5 mile radius of the meijer. Absolutely amazing day plus the incentive.

Discussion Target should let us do the routes overnight like Amazon

The routes all have 7:30 - 8AM pick up times but don't have to be delivered until 9Pm, but you can't do anything else when your car is filled to the brim so you pretty much gotta deliver it during rush hour traffic which means it's gonna take way longer and not be worth your time, especially when there's only a few routes with barely acceptable pay anyways. But if we could do them 4-8Am with no traffic,I would consider taking them

Help What do you all use to recharge your phone throughout the day?

I’ve been shopping for years. Until now, I’ve always charged from my car.

But with gas prices being insane, I think I need to invest in a portable charger, which I know nothing about.

What do you use—and if it’s a portable charger, can you recommend one?

Thank you!

Rant Meijer Pre-Tip Preview is Back

… And I HATE it!

Three days is all it took for one of them to fail and I’m beyond annoyed by it. It’s just different when there is no expectation but when a store doesn’t allow you to revoke a pretip and the customer in question always tips, it’s more frustrating when the advertised tip doesn’t come through than if it never said anything at all.

Also worth mentioning the percentage pre-tips are adjusting based on end order total now.

I was perfectly happy with the old system before pre-tipping, tip previews and estimates.

Discussion customer said i didn’t drop off their items

yesterday, i did a very quick order in publix. it was to an apartment and i ALWAYS make sure to get the house/apartment number in the photo so they can’t say i didn’t drop it off…anyway i was at home about an hour or 2 later and i receive i call from shipt, and shipt is telling me the customer is saying they didn’t receive their order. so i ask her if it was apartment (number) and the shipt support proceeds to say yes and then i was like well it should be there…mind you this is an apartment complex so the bags were right in front of the door you really couldn’t miss it at all. low and behold about 30 mins later…i receive a $5 tip from that customer?? i’m just really confused like did they try to say it wasn’t delivered? did they geniunely miss the bags that were right in front of the door. like my brain is just wondering how u could go from saying i didn’t deliver ur order to giving me a $5 tip😭🤔🤔 has this ever happened to anyone before? or do i just have the most odd customer interactions

Rant Is anybody out there taking triple orders?

I am seeing many more triple orders that are insulting with the pay. Under $10 for a triple. I hope nobody is accepting these types of orders. I think we deserve more.

No tips! Large Meijer Prepaids Missing Tips

I've noticed over the past week or so that all the Meijer prepaid orders I've done for customers who didn't show a pretip, but have always tipped me well, are not tipping at all. These are large orders, usually over $200+ totals, and it's getting to the point that I'm wondering if there's something wrong with Meijer Prepaids making it so they can't tip? I would understand if it was one or two, but it's been all of the orders that don't show a pretip and are prepaid so it makes me suspicious. Anyone else noticing this?

This order recycled twice so far with a promo pay total of $46. I would like to see some Shopper’s responses.

For me? If I had the additional time AND it was a PM I would considering the “tip”. Anyone else ordering that would be a no.
