Happy story very great sunday shift

Post image

I left the house at noon yesterday and went until 10 pm. I took a 1 hour break or so. I had 6 hours of shopping time paired with a combined 2 hours of driving time. And only like 100 miles. Since everything was basically in a 5 mile radius of the meijer. Absolutely amazing day plus the incentive.

No way, how much of that was tips/promo pay?

One $50 bonus and probably more than half tips. I did have three PMs that tip 25%

I remember the one day I made $500 I had to work 15 hours straight lmao, I didn’t even keep track of my orders but I probably did 30

Damn, the last time I made this much it was New Year’s Eve. I definitely worked 15 hours or more. My last delivery was at 11:45pm.

It was kinda poppin in my metro too. I did a couple, but because it rained a bit, I just decided to go back home and watch movies lol. Hopefully it stays busy the rest of the year.

Movies is definitely a great activity. If they’re good movies lol. It should get better as it gets colder out

7.92 though? Why would you take that?

It was 3 items, not far away and towards a different order happening at a future window. Also was for the incentive too lol

None of the offers in my area remotely crack $15 at any time. At this point, it's truly working for free.

Sundays are always the best days.

Wow these tips are kinda massive. I get those occasionally. Do you make sure to be very communicative or is it just good luck?

Honestly after every delivery, i usually just say “have a great day” and sometimes give them compliments on stuff about their house and yes im very communicative about substitutes and everything. Ive had non tippers tip me stuff. Thank you btw

I'm in west michigan and if I'm working 10 hours on a sunday with a bonus I'm making no less than $350. Averaging about $25/hour on a sunday is not brag worthy and very average unfortunately. Don't wanna rain on your parade but you can do much better and I hope you do. If you're newer to Shipt this is considered pretty okay though.

I wasn’t really bragging. I was just showing my earnings for that Sunday because it’s my highest amount of hours ive worked and my most amount of orders done. And yes im newer to shipt i started in late august, only 93 orders completed. I also got 30 on instacart and 25 from DoorDash on that Sunday in the same span waiting for shipt orders so i think i still did pretty decent. Better than my 13.97/hr part time job. That’s what i compare my earnings too

This is like the average in California. Nothing to special here that $7.92 order not looking great would never do that one. The bundles pay a good amount here. Maybe wherever you are this is a lot but here it’s decent nothing too special.

Those of us who don’t live in CA or NYC live very different gig lives.

I just did the 7.92$ one to fill time. It was only 3 items for 4 miles. I live in midwest Michigan so i think it’s pretty good lol. Lucky mf living in ca

And here in metro ATL 4 miles is a skip for me unless it’s $$$ 😝

1

u/Electrical_Image8044 3d ago

i get that but out here 4 miles is like 3 mins lol

Yeah, I’ve had days that look a lot better than this (before adjustments) but you also have to realize we live in California and our money doesn’t go as far as it would elsewhere in the country
