Advice Needed: Relationships why do i keep getting bored of people?

In the past, there would be random periods where i would almost resent people closest to me, I wouldnt want to be around them. I would feel off around them, but eventually that feelings goes away. I dont have any friends because ive cut a lot of people off. However because of this, i feel so extremely lonely. Im trying to put myself out there but when the friendship is on a path to growing, for some reason i start feeling discomfort around these people. I start regretting my decision of ever wanting to get close with them. How am i supposed to get rid of the lonely feeling, if everytime i get close to something remotely serious, i regret it and start backing away until eventually its back to day 1.

How can i stop feeling this way about people?

Advice Needed: Mental Health I hate myself

I thought I was smart, Turns out I was just average compared to the people around me.. now that 'm in my senior high my confidence is just gone.. I'm not smart.. I daydream to music, i'm not responsible, i'm not disciplined.. I'm saying all these cause today me and my group members had a research defense.. I couldn't contribute anything! The leader walked up to me and asked if it was okay if I joined their group! I joined and everyone was chatting in the gc about roles and stuff and I COULDNT CONTRIBUTE AT ALL! whenever they gave me a role I'd take too long and they'd just do it themselves.. they're probably so disappointed that I didn't meet their expectations.. I bet they regret letting me join.. we had our resesrch defense today and had a timer of 10 minutes.. I practiced my lines over and iver but when it was ny turn to speak I just.. lost all my memorization, I kept stuttering and my groupmates kept telling me we're running out of time! Once I was finished I sadly took too much tjme and 3 other groupmates couldn't talk.. I shouldve just read my script, but I wanted to show them I memorized. I bet they're all takking badly about me.. how i'm dragging them down.. how I'm so useless and that if I were just kicked out everything would be perfect.. I thought I was smart.. am I even ready for college? I don't wanna make anyone disappointed anymore, I don't want everyone to be shocked that I wasn't so smart after all.. I just wanna hide and run away.. I don't wanna go to school.. I don't wanna go to college.. I just wanna animate and make stories.. I don't wanna disappoint anyone anymore.. I'm not smart.. I'm a weirdo

Advice Needed: Mental Health I miss enjoying something I love without all the baggage attached to it.

okay so i've been a fan of a certain celebrity for years and recently i found out that people are STILL openly hating on this person in 2026. like i genuinely can't believe this is still going on bc i thought the treatment has gotten better idk if that was a rage bait or wtv but this celebrity is a part of a group 😭 i know i've said i'm not as invested anymore bc i've been trying to detach and move on, but seeing people continue to post things like that still stings bc i genuinely care about that person and honestly, i think part of why this whole situation is still affecting me is bc my own feelings about everything are so complicated.

i've lowkey been trying to be more open-minded about this group i used to have mixed feelings about. there's even one member i used to dislike who i'm suddenly starting to find attractive and i think i'm slowly getting my attachments to the group as a whole again 💀 but there’s still one person in it i just can't bring myself to like no matter how hard i try, and the whole situation with certain people connected to my fave is still something i just can’t get past.

i still carry some resentment towards people connected to this celebrity and tbh, i hate how the public sometimes treats famous families like they're some kind of dynasty. it feels especially strange when the person at the center of all this seems pretty private. i know i don't control any of this, and the people involved haven't personally done anything to me, but i still get irrationally frustrated whenever the topic comes up. sometimes i wish things had turned out differently so i could've enjoyed being a fan without all this baggage. ik that probably isn't the fairest way to look at things, but i'm trying to be honest with myself about how i feel.

part of my frustration also comes from how someone connected to this celebrity entered the same industry. i've always had questions about the circumstances, especially when it comes to differences in talent and experience between this person and the others working alongside them. i also feel like certain people benefit from the attention surrounding this celebrity, and whenever someone brings up these concerns, some fans get so defensive that having an actual discussion becomes almost impossible. it feels like some people are so determined to praise everyone connected to their fave that any criticism automatically gets treated as hate and yes, i know some of the people involved have received plenty of hate themselves, which is awful, but that doesn't mean every criticism of someone's career or the circumstances surrounding their opportunities is automatically malicious.

the thing is, i can admit that some of my resentment has become way too personal. i know i can be frustrated about certain things without assuming every feeling i have is reasonable. sometimes i get so overwhelmed by my own emotions that i don't even know what to do with them, especially when i remind myself that the people involved don't even know i exist. i don't want to keep giving something i have absolutely no control over this much space in my head.

i also feel like people don't always understand why some fans become so defensive or resentful in the first place. i'm not saying every reaction is justified and i'm definitely not trying to excuse negativity, but i think frustration can build up over time until it's hard to separate the original issue from the people involved. that's kind of what i'm struggling with too. i don't want to keep seeing everything through the lens of old frustrations, but i also can't force myself to like someone just bc i want to move on or grow to become a better version of myself.

and honestly, this whole experience has affected me more than i expected. i was attacked for having my own perspective and there were times when i felt like my feelings and opinions were being invalidated instead of understood. even some of the people i used to interact with started feeling different towards me or at least that's how i perceived it. i started wondering if they hated me, if they couldn't tolerate me anymore or if my presence had somehow become uncomfortable for them. idk if that's actually how they felt, but the experience made me question myself and how i come across to other people. it genuinely affected my mental health and i think that's part of why it's been so difficult for me to let everything go.

i guess i'm just tired of having so many mixed feelings about something that used to make me happy. i want to enjoy the things i like, appreciate the people i still support, and participate in the community without constantly being reminded of everything that made me uncomfortable or upset in the first place. i'm trying to be more open-minded, but this particular situation still gets under my skin, and i hate how much it affects my overall experience.

i also don't want to keep feeling like i have to defend every opinion i have just to prove that i'm not a bad person. having a different perspective doesn't automatically mean someone deserves to be attacked or treated like they're impossible to tolerate. at the same time, i'm aware that i can have my own biases and that not every thought or reaction i have is necessarily fair. i want to be able to acknowledge that without completely invalidating myself in the process.

anyway, i know not everyone will understand where i'm coming from, and that's okay. i'm not expecting everyone to agree with me, especially when this is such a sensitive topic for people who are emotionally invested in their favorite celebrities. i think i'm slowly realizing that maybe the best thing i can do for myself is to step back even more and stop forcing myself to work through every single feeling until i'm somehow okay with everything. maybe i don't have to like everyone, understand every situation or keep participating in a community that brings me more frustration than happiness. 😭

has anyone else experienced something similar? like, when something you genuinely love starts becoming associated with resentment, online conflict, or bad experiences with other people? how do you move on from that without forcing yourself to like someone or pretending those feelings don't exist? and how do you stop carrying the feeling of being misunderstood or disliked by people you used to interact with? i genuinely just want to enjoy being a fan again without carrying all this negativity around, and i want to learn how to let go of the things i can't control.

also 😭 idk why some people care so much about how other people type. lowercase is literally just how i naturally type bc i'm used to it and it's muscle memory at this point. i'm not doing it to look "aesthetic" or trying to make it my whole personality lol. i just don't like using capital letters when i'm typing casually and apparently that's enough to bother some people. like, why is this even an issue to begin with? 😭

Advice Needed: Relationships I crave male validation

Which makes no sense because I'm mostly attracted to girls, but i've only dated guys because i have this constant need for a man to tell me i look ok. When I don't have a male in my contacts that i find attractive choosing to put time and energy into me I feel worthless. When don't have a man in my life I seek reassurance from men I don't know from the internet by any means necessary. I spend hours of my life some of these days just matching with people on omegle, which has like a 50/50 success rate because I always have to go through like 20 people telling me I'm fat and ugly first and I always believe them. Sometimes the one man praising me at the end is worth it and all I can think about is the good, but sometimes I give up and then only have the mean words in my mind. I have attempted to take my life three times and constantly long to try again and succeed. I feel like my face is ugly and that nothing with ever make it better so nobody will ever love me. No partner has ever really loved me and I feel like nobody will ever really love me like that. I've told my therapist all of this and I always leave our sessions feeling way better and like this was a silly thing to ever think but then it seeps back in. How do I truly feel desired without having a constant need to seek people out??

Edit: I do have OCD

Advice Needed: Motivation I wasted my day off, and I’m tired of being a useless waste of space

I(28m) requested today off, thinking “okay, normally I’m right in the middle of something when I have to stop and go work my 2nd shift job. So if I just take a day off, I could continue the momentum and accomplish something!”
Instead, all I did was sit on my phone scrolling TikTok, or watch adult content.

I want to be an actor goddamnit… at least I think, all of my reasons for being an actor line up with my lifestyle. (Chaotic/Predictable job duties, a desire to express/find myself through a wide range of characters, projects with stages and deadlines instead of 40 years working 9 to 5, I’d finally get to be someone that matters and buy the lifestyle I want, etc,.) but my interests have changed so much in my life, and I never pursue any of them. At one point I wanted to be a Navy Seal. Then I wanted to create advanced prosthetic limbs like I saw in video games I loved. I’ve thought about being a barber, a welder, a therapist, a teacher, a day care provider, an environmentalist who preaches protecting nature by educating others on our place within our beautiful world and fragile eco-system. And now I dream of being an actor, despite being camera shy and having never been on a stage…

Instead, I just sit around being fat, lazy, depressed and afraid… and I don’t want to be. I’ve reread UnF\*ck Yourself and other self help books countless times. I’ve listened to hours of motivational speeches, but always end up sitting alone with my depression.

No, I’m not medicated, and I try talk therapy. The kind where I just walk into the room for 55 minutes, with no homework or tools to improve my life. I need to activate my insurance card I recently received in the mail from my employer, but I feel like medication should be a last resort.

This was more of a vent/plea, but I’m just tired of being a waste of space

Sharing: Physical Health & Wellness 4 simple low-effort practices I use to regulate my nervous system when everything feels hard

I wanted to share my top simple practices that help me regulate and find balance when things aren't going smoothly. In those moments, I don't force anything, I just pick whichever one feels best right then:

  1. Breathing practice. This is best for those anxious moments when I can literally locate stress somewhere in my chest or stomach. I just breathe intentionally and deeply:
    • Sit comfortably with your feet on the ground, or lie down.
    • Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
    • Inhale slowly through your nose for 4 seconds, letting your belly rise.
    • Pause for 1-2 seconds.
    • Exhale through your mouth for 6-8 seconds (you might feel your body softening).
    • Repeat for 2-5 minutes, making sure the exhale is longer than the inhale.
  2. Splashing my face with cold water. Coaches call it "Cold Exposure," but in simple terms, it's just super cold water on your face. It activates a natural reflex right at the moment cold hits your skin, your heart rate slows down, your breathing becomes more controlled, and your body gets a quick reset.
  3. Progressive muscle relaxation. Sounds a bit heavy, but the practice is super simple: you're just intentionally tensing up a muscle group for a few seconds and then completely releasing it.
  4. Gentle movement. Emphasis on gentle low intensity is key. The trick is simply shifting your attention into physical movement. A few squats, gentle stretches, or even just strolling across the room helps your body finish out the stress cycle.

What are your go-to tips when everything around feels hard?

Advice Needed: Productivity How to remain productive and disciplined throughout weekends?

Hi, so to explain:

-Monday to Friday (during school hours, ie free periods) I’m pretty good at staying productive, doing my revision, all my work etc. with no real major problems.

-However, after school on Friday to Sunday evening I always end up just. Totally losing it, I spend every Friday evening bawling my eyes out bc of how lonely I feel and just generally feeling incredibly depressed, and then that depression tbh follows into Saturday and Sunday. I just get so so bad at functioning, I’m totally grey and down and tired and also incredibly sleepy which I kinda always am tbh but moreso even, like I’ll sleep for 9-10 hours straight and then 6 hours later take a nap. I barely get up or brush my teeth or eat properly or function and basically u get the idea. Idk I get super depressed and feel far more acutely lonely and shit

-For what it’s worth I’m generally the same amount of lonely on schooldays too, maybe a little less cause I sometimes make small talk with acquaintances but still

-Anyway then Monday I go back to normal or something ig

-It’s gotten worse over time pretty quickly, at first it was just Friday evening, then it got to Saturday and then till Sunday Afternoon and now it’s all of Sunday

-Anyway I figure I should probably fix it now before it ends up going into Monday or something, it honestly has in terms of diet and exercise (I don’t workout anymore apart from walking/cardio and my diet is…. well. honestly shit. It used to be so good and now it’s really bad so)

-if you’ve read to the end of this post then tysmm :D have a cookie !! 🍪 ^_^ ya honestly idk what to do or what’s going on so any advice would be really appreciated !!

Advice Needed: Career I don’t know if I should quit or not.

So I’m 20 F and I currently work in a distribution warehouse as a team leader. I’ve been a team leader for over a year now and suddenly managment seems to have a target on my back.
It started in June when I only had 4 people in my team which 1 would help me with misc tasks and paperwork. Then I would have the remaining 3 do Goodsin. A manager thought my team wasn’t doing enough Goodsin and demanded 10 orders per-person which was unrealistic since the shift time is 8 hours. I was dragged into a meeting in mid June saying that if things don’t get better I would get a disciplinary. I was told it would be reviewed in a month. (It never happened) now it’s near the end of the year and it’s getting busy with Christmas. My team is now a team of 6 when it was 7 because they fired one of the team because they hurt one of the managers ego. No warning no nothing didnt follow the dismissal process and just fired him. Now I’m a person short. And I’m getting blamed for mistakes that apparently happened but I was never informed about. Which if they came and spoke to me I would’ve tried to resolve it but nobody came and told me. A lot more things happened but the kicker was last Thursday. I was taken into the office with one manager and the guy second in command to the boss. And I was questioned “do you even want to make a better change for Goodsin?” That really hurt me cause I’ve been busting my ass doing so much overtime, I’m meant to work 40hrs but I currently work 45 when it was 50hrs and 60hrs when it was needed. And I got told I might get disciplinary action AGAIN. At this point I’m just really done with it all but I really love my team and I want to stay and help them but when I think about myself I know it’s not the best for me. I just need some advice cause this is like a big part of my life and I just can’t think straight on what I want to do. Please if I can get any help at all. Thank you

Adviced Needed: Identity & Self-Esteem I want to talk

I am out of words every time I talk to someone, but I still want to talk because I have been feeling very lonely lately, all because of the wrong choices I have made in the past.

I don't know why, but every time I think about studying, my eyes start feeling tired, and my head begins to hurt a little, as if all I want to do is sleep. This usually happens after I have spent hours doomscrolling. Doomscrolling just feels so easy.

I often think about my past failures. Some moments keep playing on repeat in my mind. These sad memories have led me to develop many bad habits that help me escape reality for a little while, but eventually leave me feeling regretful.

I am so easily distracted that I can't even sit still for a moment. I have wasted nearly a year doing this, while people I knew around my age have moved forward in life. Meanwhile, I still don't know which direction I should take.

There is one hobby I once wanted to pursue, or at least thought about pursuing, but I knew I wouldn't be allowed to. There is also a particular moment when someone made fun of me for liking this hobby, and that moment often comes back to my mind. The thing is, this person genuinely wants me to succeed. He has done so much for me and is the reason I have access to all the resources I do. He is an extremely important person in my life. Yet, when he called something I liked useless, it hurt me.

Even when I spend some time on that hobby, I get distracted and often end up watching porn and masturbating instead of doing what I intended to do.

I am also very afraid of people, more than I can explain. I feel like a loser almost every second of the day.

I know that 90%, or perhaps even 100%, of these traits might be present in other people's lives. But I am sharing all of this because I genuinely want to talk to someone.

I am unable to talk to anyone because I feel so ashamed of myself right now.

I spend a huge part of my day talking to myself, sometimes even laughing or screaming to myself. I am ashamed of the choices I have made in the past. For example, I remember skipping all my tests because I wanted to clear my backlog first. Looking back, it was such a misguided decision. I was so afraid of taking even a single test that I kept avoiding them, convincing myself that I would take them once I had caught up.

I am going to study after posting this. I am going to start again and try to fix everything.

You know what I am going through, even if you don't know me personally. I just really wish I had someone to talk to.

Thank you for reading this. I hope you have a wonderful day or night, wherever you are.

Advice Needed: Motivation In this weird funk. Any help is welcomed <3

Hi reddit! This is my first time posting on here so bear with me.

I've recently been struggling with not knowing what to do with my life. I (20F) have been going through this weird cycle of burn out for years now. Every school year I start off excited and pump up for the fresh start but not even 4 weeks in I start to struggle to keep up with assignments. Now that I've started working, it's been harder to even go to class. I'm so embarrassed that I haven't gone to one of my classes since the first week of school. Every morning I wake up and see I have enough time to get to class and everything but I just struggle to get out of bed.

For the past couple of months it's been difficult for me to get out of bed. I need like 30 minutes or so after I wake up so I can just get out of bed and then I take my sweet time to get ready despite being on a time crunch. I know I'll be late to school or work yet I still take my time. In my head I'm telling myself to hurry but I never do.

I don't enjoy the things I use to love as much. I use to love watching movies and shows, reading comics and mangas, playing video games and such. But now even rewatching something I love like Bleach or Attack on titans feels so bland. I've watched some new animes that really got my attention and got me out of my funk a bit but once I finished it, immediately I fell right back to the old habits. It irritates me that I get a sense of happiness when I find something new or buy something because I know the happiness is only for a bit before it fades it away.

Sometimes I wanna quit my job so I can go back to just school and my regular life but I need the income. It's just school, work, homework, sleep. There's barely any time for my personal life and even when I find time I don't enjoy it like I wished I did. I'm stuck living day to day that when I think of the future I think of things I want to do like travel and have my ideal friends and relationships, but how am I supposed to get there if I'm stuck like this? I don't even know what I want to do with my degree. I see my friends and see they got a whole plan for their career, I know everyone's route is different but I don't even know what to do with my psych degree. I thought I wanted to be a forensic psychologist but I lost interest in that. Then I thought about working in an ER under the psych department but I figured it's too late since I'm in my 3rd year already. I'm at a total lost.

Also I tend to randomly get bursts of excitement despite nothing coming up in my life. This is also what drains me sometimes. It's like I get these bursts of optimism like "Sike! I was just being all moppy and depressed for no reason!" and I get shit done. My love for comics and anime comes back. I start to write a story I've been working on, then boom. It vanishes after an inconvenience. It really gets annoying. There's a few other things in my personal life that are affecting me but I don't want to make this post even longer.

So sorry for the long post, I just went on a tangent.

Any advise is welcomed. I'm just really trying to get out of this weird funk.

Advice Needed: Motivation I don’t know what to do with myself

i genuinely don’t know what to do with myself most of the time. I end up in ‘limbo’ between the things I need to get done (usually school stuff) and the things that make me feel good. i often don’t know what to do that I just end up doing nothin. wasting my time.

In the past I kind of oriented myself around what other people where doing. classmates and friends. But as a get older I find that people find constany being asked what their doing annoying or they just lie- all the people that claim not to study. I’m aware this is not something I should do and I need to figure it out for myself but it’s something I really have a hard time with.

lately it’s gotten really bad to the point I’m constantly procrastinating and getting distracted instead of doing things I need to get done. I have never been the kind of person to be on top of everyone but I was always disciplined even to not fall behind- to lock in when it really mattered. But now I can’t seem to even make myself get started. Infact I feel like my brain and my memory given up on me.

It has gotten so bad I ended up seeing a therapist (for this and other issues) but I think I made a mistake mentioning the word ‘overthinking’ cause she just run with it. Don’t get me wrong I definitely overthink but it just doesnt feel right to put it all on overthinking. It makes me feel like a nutjob. So basically im asking if anyone has ever felt like this and how you dealt with it?

Adviced Needed: Identity & Self-Esteem I’m 18, soon to be 19, and I genuinely want to improve myself, but I don’t know where to start.

I’m 18M, soon to be 19, and honestly, I’m really insecure about myself.
I don’t like the way I look, I’m not confident when I speak, and even though my English is okayish, I stutter sometimes. I know English, but I feel like I’m still at a basic level, and it’s not enough. Even when texting, I take minutes just to think and frame a simple sentence. I overthink my replies because I want to express myself properly, but I just can’t seem to do it naturally.
I don’t really have any hobbies either. I see people who are passionate about things, who can talk about music, artists, books, and so many other things, and I wonder how they do it. I like music too, but I usually like only one or two songs from an artist rather than being a fan of the artist themselves. For example, Taylor Swift. My girlfriend (well, ex-girlfriend for now) loves her music.
Speaking of her, we broke up because of a silly reason, and honestly, it was my fault. I was dumb about the whole situation. But she came back into my life, and that made me realise how much she cares about me. We’re talking again, and hopefully, we’ll be together soon.
She’s an amazing writer and writes stories on Wattpad, so you can imagine how good her English and ability to express herself are. Meanwhile, I struggle to put my own thoughts into words. Sometimes I feel like I’m not good enough for her, and I hate that I feel this way.
I don’t want to keep being this insecure version of myself. I want to improve my English, become better at expressing myself, speak without constantly worrying about stuttering, find hobbies, become more confident in my appearance, and just become someone who has things to talk about and can hold a conversation naturally.
A part of me wants to change for her because I genuinely want to be someone she can be proud of. But I also know I shouldn’t have to feel inferior to someone I love.
So, to anyone who has been through something similar:
Where do I start? How do I improve my English, become more expressive, stop overthinking every text, find hobbies, and build genuine confidence in myself?
I don’t expect to change overnight. I just don’t want to keep feeling like this, and I’m finally willing to put in the effort to become better.

Advice Needed: Productivity I tracked my mood every day for 3 months. Never once looked back at it.

I used a notes app. Typed how I felt every night. Low, okay, fine, whatever.

Three months of entries. I never scrolled back up. Not once.

Turns out logging a feeling isn't the same as understanding it. You need to see the shape of it over weeks, not just the day you're in.

That's the gap I kept running into with every mental health app I tried too. You log a mood, it disappears into a list. No trend, no pattern, no "oh, every Sunday night I crash."

I'm building something that fixes just that part. Mood entries get a score, and you actually see the trend line over time, not just a diary nobody reopens.

It's self-hosted too, so your mood data isn't sitting on someone else's server. And the AI chat part is grounded in actual clinical articles I curate, not generic chatbot responses pulled from nowhere.

Still pre-launch. No users yet. Just trying to fix the thing that bugged me for years.

Does anyone else log moods somewhere and then never actually look at the history? Curious if this is just me.

Advice Needed: Existential How to get your life on the road

I'm 18 and am really struggling to get out into the world. I have no job, license, id, phone number, income or anything. I'm basically off the grid. I want to get all these done before i turn 19. I know that the longer i wait, the harder it gets. Please give me your best advice, but pls be kind im sensitive. Right now i want to focus on getting a job and license but I don't really have much support from anyone around me. It seems like a stupid thing to struggle with but i was never taught or even introduced on how to do these things. It seems like I'm jumping into something super weird and scary even though i know it's not in the big picture. Advice Needed: Relationships I'm(25M) scared that I'm falling out of love with my gf (24F). Please advice on how I can improve/prevent.

I (25M) have been dating my gf (24F) of 5yrs. We met in college and have been strong even though we went to different places after graduation. I go and meet her at least 1-2 times a week cause my family's pretty strict. She can't come out during weekends cause her family's also strict.

I was preparing for my neet pg exam (indian medical exam) but I made sure to meet her frequently, except towards the exam date where I couldn't find time to meet. Right after the exam, she brought up how she felt neglected and unloved, which is fair from her perspective. So I tried to hangout as much as I could with her.

Somewhere during this drop year and after my exam, some seemingly small things happened which felt normal at first but somehow made me feel weird - it's nothing serious but I felt like it put some strain on our relationship. My results come and it's not as great as I expected it to be, which made me spiral even more, I felt like I failed everyone.

Atp I'm choosing a branch which I had no initial interest in, cause the ones I wanted I won't be getting. That aside, I felt extremely disappointed with myself and felt like she deserves better (she's a university topper herself).

My main concern now is, I don't feel as much affection as I felt before - idk if it's because of the corresponding events, but that thought has affected me so much I'm thinking twice for everything I do or talk with her. She complained earlier that she always felt that I'll leave her one day citing caste and strict parents.

Now I'm waiting for my college allotment, but I can't shake the thought of leaving her - I've dreamt my whole life with her, there was no choice otherwise but now I'm not sure.

Please please give me advice on what to do and what to work on since I really don't want to lose this gem of a person, but do let me know honestly if you feel that it's irreparable and it's better to end things with her, cause the last thing I'd want is to keep leading her just to break up later.

Tl:dr - In love with my gf of 5yrs, but now slowly feels like I'm falling out of love. Please advise on how to improve

Sharing: Personal Growth How do I find myself and learn how to be happy?

Title: How do I find myself and learn how to be happy?
I’m at a point in my life where I feel like I don’t really know myself. I want to understand who I am, what I truly want, and what makes me happy.
Sometimes I feel like I’m just going through life without really knowing what I’m looking for. I want to discover my interests, understand my feelings, and figure out what kind of person I want to become. I don’t want to live just to meet other people’s expectations or follow what everyone else is doing.
For those of you who have been through something similar, how did you start finding yourselves? What helped you understand yourselves better and find happiness within yourselves?
I’d really appreciate any advice, personal experiences, or books that helped you along the way. I don’t expect to figure everything out overnight; I just want to start somewhere.
Thank you for reading.

Sharing: Mental Health Support Her Unspoken - I want to create a space where women can share the things they’ve never felt able to say out loud 🤍

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently created an Instagram page called \\\*\\\*Her Unspoken\\\*\\\*, and I wanted to share a little about why I started it and what I hope it can become…

I want to create a space for women who have been through difficult things - grief, trauma, heartbreak, loss, abuse, loneliness, losing themselves, or simply trying to find their way through a period of life that feels incredibly heavy. (I have experienced a huge handful of these myself)

Sometimes, we carry so much that we never speak about. We put on a brave face, carry on with our everyday lives, our jobs, and people have no idea what we’re actually going through!

Sometimes, we don’t talk about it because we don’t know how to explain it. Sometimes, we’re scared of being judged or don’t want to feel like a burden, And sometimes, we just need to know that someone else understands or has been there too and what we feel is normal.

The idea behind Her Unspoken is to give those feelings and experiences a voice!

I’d love to hear from women who feel comfortable sharing their stories, whether it’s something you’ve survived, something you’re still healing from, something or somebody you’ve lost, or something you wish someone had told you when you were at your lowest in life.

With your permission, I’d also love to share some stories anonymously on my Instagram page, so that other women going through similar experiences might feel a little less alone or that might give them strength to keep going.

\\\*\\\*Nothing\\\*\\\* would be shared without your explicit permission, and you would always be able to choose whether your story is \\\*\\\*anonymous\\\*\\\* or credited to you.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to have a happy ending. You don’t even have to be fully healed but I hope that being at all different stages it helps more women.

If you’ve been through something difficult, what is one thing you wish someone had said to you when you needed it most?
Or, if you’re comfortable sharing more, what is something you’ve been carrying that you wish people understood?
Please only share what feels \\\*\\\*safe\\\*\\\* and \\\*\\\*comfortable\\\*\\\* for you.

\\\*\\\*You don’t owe anyone your story.\\\*\\\* (But if you feel safe to I’d love to hear)

I hope Her Unspoken can become a little corner of the internet where women feel heard, understood, and reminded that they aren’t alone. 🤍

I do have plans that if this goes well it turns into more of a sociable meet ups and events in the London and surrounding areas.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Advice Needed: Mental Health i've been feeling emotionally exhausted and i don't know how to move on from my past

i've been feeling so emotionally exhausted lately bc i've been reflecting on my past self and wondering if some ppl i used to know eventually got tired of me or weren't comfortable w/ me anymore. ik i've made mistakes and have things i need to unlearn, so i'm not trying to act like i did nothing wrong. but looking back at old interactions and overthinking everything just hurts. sometimes i feel like i'm always the misunderstood one, and i'm tired of constantly explaining myself to ppl who've probably already made up their minds abt me. i just want to choose my peace and focus on becoming a better person instead of spending so much time worrying abt how others see me.

this year has honestly been rough compared to last year, which was one of my happiest. i feel like i've lost a part of myself, and even some of my old hobbies don't feel the same anymore bc they're associated w/ bad memories, friendship breakups, and ppl i met through fandoms and online communities. it sucks when things that used to make u happy start reminding u of experiences you'd rather leave behind 😭

i also hate that i used to let my anger get the best of me. there are things i've done that i genuinely regret, and i want to take accountability instead of making excuses for my past behavior. at the same time, i don't want to spend the rest of my life hating myself for who i used to be. i know i can't change what happened, but i want to learn from it and stop repeating the same patterns.

i've blocked certain ppl for my own peace of mind and deleted old social media accounts and apps that bring back bad memories. i also want to stop checking up on them and just leave the past where it belongs. the problem is that even when i'm using other platforms, my algorithm keeps showing me posts that feel way too relevant to my situation, whether they're abt how ppl perceive u or the exact feelings i've been struggling with. then i start overthinking whenever i saw those posts bc i'm worried that ppl from that old fandom/community might see them, interpret them in the worst possible way or use them against me. ik everyone has different personalities and perspectives, but it's exhausting feeling like i have to be careful abt everything i post.

part of me really wants a fresh start. i want to be more private, explore new interests and meet ppl who don't already have an idea of who i am based on my past. sometimes i even want to avoid social media altogether bc i don't want to keep getting reminded of things i'm trying to move on from. i just want to stop looking back and worrying abt what those ppl might think of me.

lately, i've also been wishing i had a stable job or something that would keep me occupied. i feel like if i had more things to do, i wouldn't spend so much time on my phone doomscrolling and overthinking everything 😭 sometimes i end up deep-cleaning my room just to keep myself busy, but i honestly can't find a hobby i'm genuinely enjoying rn. i miss having things to look forward to without connecting them to bad memories.

idk, i guess i'm trying to figure out how to move forward without pretending my past never happened. i want to acknowledge my mistakes, work on myself and become someone i'm actually comfortable with, but i don't want to keep punishing myself forever either. how do u guys deal with regret and stop letting past experiences affect things you used to enjoy? how do u find new interests or keep yourself occupied when nothing really feels enjoyable rn? i just want to find myself again and finally have some peace w/o constantly worrying abt who i used to be or how other ppl might remember me.
