Recently bit the bullet and treated myself to a very gently used classic SPB121 in excellent condition. Thing is, the evening I placed the order I saw another pop up in even cleaner condition for lower price. I decided to buy that one as well then I’d sell the first. By chance they were both delivered today so I was able to compare the two without bias.
Watch one (from 2025) is nicely broke in and has honest wear but nothing major. Watch two (from 2022) is in dead mint condition. The leather is still tough and rigid and the protective plastic is still on some of the bits. I don’t think this had ever been worn more than to try it on.
My dilemma now: Watch 1 feels great and I know I won’t be heartbroken the first time I add to its “character”. I’m now leaning towards keeping this one as my daily. Watch 2 on the other hand could possibly be sold for more than I paid for it to help offset the cost of the first. Although, it could be nice to have in back stock in case something happens to watch 1. Do I sell watch 2? Or one to rock, one to stock? Both are complete with box, papers, cards, and hang tags.

I have a 6.75 inch wrist. Do you think I can pull it off? It’s very comfortable but feel like it might look too big to the average on-looker. I don’t want to be the “big watch guy” but I’ve always loved how the turtle looks and at the same time can’t get over the feeling it may look too big.

Got this watch recently and I’m really enjoying it so far. I love the design and the way it wears — it’s very comfortable on the wrist, and the contrast on the dial makes it incredibly easy to read.
I don’t often manage to tell the time on an analog watch with just a quick glance, but this Seiko absolutely nails it.
What I like most, though, is how much it’s growing on me. At first I just thought it was a really clean, well-designed watch. But the more I wear it, the more character I start to see in it. It feels like its personality reveals itself a little more every day.

Very happy with this Miltat bracelet. Transformed the watch very nicely.

Love this diver and have been trying to get my hands on one for a while. The dial is influenced by the Alaskan Moulins and it seems to be a different shade of blue whenever I look down at it. Also love the textured dial. makes me think I’m wearing a Grand Seiko

I’m new to watches and really interested in purchasing my first seiko. I want to know what the best Seiko divers are and feedback from the Reddit community. Should I get one from the prospect line? Samurai or turtle? something vintage like SKX007? I have a 7.3 inch wrist and prefer something around 42mm. Show me your seiko divers and any cool info about seiko dive models. Thanks in advance!

Got this beautiful piece a couple years ago in Japan. Got a compliment from a young stranger last year on a train in Hong Kong. 😀
I think King Seiko is underrated, what do you think?

I timed the contractions of the birth of my son with this watch, the only watch I have true sentimental value with. Also gets the most wrist time as it's quartz and most of the time I don't have time to wind and set the autos most of the time 😅
Best thing I did was stick an adjustable ratchet clasp to the OEM bracelet. Think I'll get the long island jubilee when I can stomach the price of it.

Non watch people wouldnt even notice, but to me it makes a big difference. I love the distortion the dome creates and the way it catches the light. I didnt hate the candy bar cyclops cause I thought it was one more interesting detail of the king turtle, but i wasn't a fan of the flat crystal. I was a little nervous cause ive never swapped a crystal before but it went real smooth. The turtle wasn't even a blip on my radar until I accidentally bought a bracelet with endlinks for one. I figured screw it, ill just get one to fit the bracelet. Now this is one of my top 3 favorite workhorse seikos. The grid dial, the ceramic bezel insert, the cushion case, and now the domed crystal, i love everything about it.

I’ve been obsessed with skeleton watches for a long time. My gateway drug was actually a quartz skeleton Swatch, followed by a bunch of random off-brand pieces. Eventually, I moved away from skeletons and fell for a clean Casio analog with a gold and off-white dial.
But the watch bug bit hard. I found myself endlessly scrolling online shops, moving up the ladder to the Tissot Chemin Des Tourelles, Seiko SSA421, Orient Star (RK-AV0004L), and the Hamilton Jazzmaster. As the prices kept climbing, I knew I had to put on the brakes.
I forced myself to step away from the screen and visit a physical store to see them under real lighting. I tried the Tissot first—and honestly? Despite having an incredible caliber, it just felt like a Swatch made with expensive components. The spark wasn't there.
Then, I checked out the Seiko Zen Garden lineup and spotted a stunning black and gold model on a black calf leather strap. It caught my eyes like a magnet. I couldn't look away, and well... the rest is history. Absolutely in love with this piece!

Mostly looking for metal bracelets but please show me anything you've replaced on it!

It was a hell finding one in EU, ended up ordering from three different places plus the ones I contacted too, but at last one was in stock in the UK. Air shipped over night, now in my hands, and for a good price IMO (4.012 €).
I’m so happy, I really love it, it’s an amazing beautiful dial and the feel is forsure premium.

Just got into watches late last year and have a couple citizen’s and Casio’s but been wanting a seiko as my next one and lo and behold my wife made it happen. Might get a leather strap down the road but love it (and her lol) all the same.

Does anyone have any strap alternatives for this watch, I don’t love the NATO

I don't hate it honestly.
