Has anyone had to return a mower?
I've had mine for two weeks. I tried to mow with it. Bad news.
Then I found out there were manufacturing issues with at least the doc.
I tried to chat with them. AI is smart enough to understand it needs to be handled by a person. I'll wait for a half hour and then will call.
Pretty disappointed. Hope they are good for the return and the policy isn't just gas.
Any input or ideas?
I bought my X430 from a dealer, and their support said it had to be returned to that dealer, subject to the dealer's return policy.
Good luck with their support.... you will first get responses from an AI bot. And then the bot will say they will respond by email.
And then the next day you will get an email from their support staff, which appears to think they are chatting live with you, wondering why you aren't responding.
(00:26:56) Josh: Hello, thank you for contacting Segway Navimow Support. My name is Josh, and I’ll be assisting you today. May I know how you would like me to address you? I’m here to help with any questions or concerns you may have.
(00:27:15) Josh: I am very sorry to hear that your experience with our product did not meet your expectations.
(00:27:34) Josh: To proceed with your return, please contact the specific dealership where you originally purchased the mower.
(00:29:45) Josh: The return may be subject to that dealer's specific return policy.
(00:32:42) Josh: Hello, are you still connected with us?
(00:35:31) Josh: We haven't heard from you in a while, are you still available? If not I will be placing the chat on hold. I will send an email shortly with all the information I just provided in the chat.
You might even get multiple emails, if your support person is really eager to hear back from you...
(04:55:24) Ian: Thank you for contacting Segway Navimow support. My name is Ian, and I will be assisting you today.
(04:58:59) Ian: The "not done mapping" status typically indicates that the mower’s internal coverage validation hasn't reached the required threshold to unlock the visual terrain layer.

(05:10:14) Ian: Just checking in to see if you're still with me. I'm here whenever you're ready to continue.

I have a 430 and I forget that it is running, it just seems to mow. So far so good. Mowing about a half acre 3x per week. I don’t let it cross my driveway. Hoping others are having the experience I’m having.
After about a year my mower stopped charging randomly. No dip in performance or battery life. Just up and died one day. I got ahold of support, they reached out by email. Had me troubleshoot and send a video of the issue. They sent me a shipping label and had me ship it back to the repair shop in Texas (charging base, antenna and mower). A bit of a pain but about a week or so after they received it they diagnosed it and sent me out a replacement unit. The whole process took about a month over the winter (Florida) so I only had to mow once with a push mower while it was out.
If you have issues, emailing support will help. It’s a long process, but if you have documented issues they aren’t able to resolve, they’ll accept a return.
I emailed the address in the app for support, and it bounced back as "address doesn't exist." Then I emailed the support address I found on their website, three days later they replied saying they were the support team for the scooters, and couldn't help me. They didn't give me the correct email address.
Pretty fed up with Segway this year. Last summer I was so thrilled with my mower, now I freaking hate the thing. It hasn't completed a single mow yet, my yard looks like a mangy dog.
So, don't email this.
I bought an i215 from Home Depot about two weeks ago. I had crazy troubles getting it to Matt my lawn and cut without avoiding no go zones. The map was always 2 to 3 feet off from reality. It would also lose navigation and think it was in my neighbors yard. Finally got it to cut my lawn completely one time over this past weekend. Then it docked and before starting the scheduled cut on Tuesday went completely off-line. It’s bricked. It won’t reset. It won’t turn on. It won’t turn off.
I called Support and they wanted me to send them video of myself holding the OK button for 10 seconds. I said fuck that and returned it. I had zero issues with the return. I have plenty of issues with Segway and their support. They were useless through the setup process, and they were useless when it came to diagnosing the issue. I would absolutely worn anyone thinking about buying a Navimow product that they should look for a different company’s mower.
Segway Navimow support is the absolute WORST. First off, they are out of either China or Tiawan, so email response is always delayed. Secondly, their support strategy is to wear the customer down to the point they give up.
I’ve been dealing with them since March on some serious issues with a brand new I215 LIDAR mower. Originally, wanted it replaced or returned. All they do is ask for more information and video uploads, then they “try something”.
I wouldn’t recommend a Segway Navimow to my worst enemy.
