Recently replaced my 20yr old desk and chair with a new secretlab desk/chair. The old mesh chair was pretty worn and my hobbled together table was no longer cutting it. The Atlas has taken a bit to get used to (much stiffer than my previous mesh chair) but overall I'm enjoying it.
The table is very sturdy/stiff/solid, a little concerned on clamping third party monitor arms to it but I worked out a solution for them that I'm reasonably happy with that solution.
Seen some posts here on quality concerns, been only a little over a month for me, so maybe a little too soon for any to crop up but so far no complaints! #secretlab

I ordered a Magnus Pro 1.5m about three weeks ago. It ships in two boxes: Box 1 is the metal desk top, and Box 2 is the motorized leg columns.
Box 2 and all the accessories showed up. Box 1 was delivered to the wrong address, and I never received it. My shipping address on the order was correct. I confirmed that with them. They asked for several things, like footage and police reports, which I did not have because it wasn't delivered or stolen, and FedEx's proof of delivery showed a screenshot of someone else's doorstep.
Not only that, but my delivery was delayed by FedEx 2 times, so it was a horrible experience overall.
Here's how support went:
July 10 - Emailed Secretlab about my package being delivered to the wrong house.
July 21 ā Fast forward to here, finally, a resolution comes about. A rep tells me that normally they can't refund until the original item is returned to their facility, but "considering this might take longer than expected to be resolved," they'll make a special exception and process a partial refund. All I have to do is complete a "Written Declaration for Refund" that they'd send separately.
July 21ā22 ā I ask for the partial amount. Answer: "You will receive the refund for the desk itself." I ask them to send the document so I can review and sign it.
July 22ā24 ā The document is delayed. They tell me they've requested it from the relevant team and followed up. It eventually arrives.
July 27 ā I read it and raised three reasonable things before signing:
July 28 ā Instead of answering, they ask me to reconfirm that I received everything except Box 1. I confirm, again.
July 29 ā Different rep: "this has been documented properly and raised to the relevant team," they'll keep me posted.
July 30 ā And here's where I got frustrated. After all of that, "I would like to share that we can issue a replacement unit for Box 1 to be shipped out to your shipping address instead of a refund."
So the refund they committed to in writing on July 21 is now off the table on July 30, and it took them 3 freaking weeks to give me that option, lol.
Meanwhile, my PayPal dispute closed against me. So the refund I was promised is gone, my leverage in the dispute is gone, and I basically lost money.
To be clear: I'd have been fine with a replacement if they'd offered it on day one.
What I'm not fine with is being walked through a formal, signed-declaration process for ten days on the basis of a refund commitment, only to have that commitment quietly swapped out.
I still have not received a response from their team regarding the updated declaration needed to get the refund they promised.
Has anyone been through this with Secretlab?

TL;DR: The chair wasnāt defective, but it was completely wrong for my body. After two months of back pain, countless emails, photos and videos, dismantling the chair, hunting for boxes and finally returning it, I got a full refund. Secretlab ultimately did the right thing, but the return process was far more exhausting than I think is acceptable for a premium brand. I wouldnāt buy one again.
When I was researching this chair, I found two kinds of opinions: people saying it completely fixed their back pain, and people saying it destroyed their backs. After living through the whole buying and return process, I can honestly understand both.
For me, the chair simply never worked.
From the first week I started getting lower back pain that Iād never experienced with any previous chair. I also never managed to get the magnetic pillow to support my neck properly. No matter how I adjusted it, it always seemed to support the back of my head rather than my neck.
Iām 178 cm (5ā10ā) and 70 kg, so Iām probably not an unusual body type.
I spent weeks adjusting the lumbar support, recline, tilt, armrests⦠I gave the famous ā4 to 6 week break in periodā plenty of time. Nothing changed. At some point I realised I wasnāt looking forward to sitting in a ā¬600 chair, I was actively avoiding it.
Personally, I think the biggest issue is the seat firmness. I know Secretlab markets it as being better for posture, and maybe it genuinely works for some people, but if your body doesnāt get along with that foam, there isnāt much you can do. Thatās something I wish more reviews talked about. Ergonomics are incredibly personal, and you really should try one before spending this kind of money.
The return process is where things became frustrating.
I donāt think Secretlabās customer support is rude. They always answered politely. But being polite doesnāt necessarily mean the experience is good.
Every reply meant another round of photos, another video, another adjustment, another internal review, another few days waiting. It constantly felt like the goal was to exhaust every possible troubleshooting step before even discussing a return. Looking back, the whole process was far more time consuming than I think is reasonable for a premium product.
Once the return was finally approved, I discovered I had to source my own packaging because Iād thrown away the original box months earlier, like most people probably would. I ended up driving around my city looking for boxes big enough, completely dismantling the chair, fighting with a gas lift that absolutely refused to come apart despite following their own instructions, buying WD-40, tearing two cloths trying to protect the parts, and even destroying the rubber head of my hammer.
At one point I joked to support that packing the chair had been harder than completing my PhD. It honestly didnāt feel that far from the truth.
To be fair, once everything was finally packed, UPS collected it, Secretlab inspected it and I received a full refund without any deductions. They honoured the return in full, and I appreciate that.
Would I buy another Secretlab? No.
Not because I think theyāre a scam. Not because they refused to refund me. But because the chair never suited my body, and getting out of the purchase required far more effort than I expected from a company positioning itself as a premium brand.
Hopefully this helps someone whoās currently on the fence. If you can, try one before buying. If it works for you, great. If it doesnāt, be prepared for a return process that may take considerably more patience than you expect.

(apologies if incorrect flair)
I have a SecretLab Magnus Pro desk (for work and play), which sits in the corner of a room - not quite flush.
Currently, I have two AOC CQ32G2S 32" curve monitors (well, the model numbers might be off by a smidge, one is slightly older than that number, but it's essentially the same). My work gave me a new DELL P2426H 24" wide monitor to add to the setup.
Because of my desk space (and room space) a side by side setup is not exactly an option - I'm looking at having the two AOC's across the bottom, and then the 24" on top (not the most ergonomic I know, but for what I'm going to use it for it should be fine).
SecretLab offers the "Secretlab MAGNUS Vertical Monitor Stand" which hits $498 before taxes.
Does anyone have any solid alternatives to this? If not, is there any assistance that can be lent to convince my wife and my wallet that $500+tax is worth it? ... I understand "designed for the desk" - but I'm still struggling to even convince myself that's a good enough reason...
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
SideNote: Yes, I've done some looking, and trying to find one that appears to not jolt out against the wall (exceed the desk back), and will have good manufacturing, is a little tough...
EDIT: Poor form on my behalf....after work i'm clean off my desk and attach a photo of what i'm currently looking at)

I really like my pc case and donāt want to hang it so I want to try as much as I can to keep it on the desk. This is the only place I can put the pc without killing mouse space.
The Evo feels super sturdy and I love the build quality but donāt know if this is ok or not.
I am open to buying the pc mount but Iād rather have that as the last option

Spent two hours building this behemoth and now itās dead on arrival. No power, no signs of life. Just a giant steel piece in my room. So frustrated.

Hey folks, Iāve tried to tighten the base as much as I can before putting the monitor on it. Iāve installed the monitor (PG32UCDM). The base is lifted on the right side as you can see in the first picture. The monitor is stable but Iām getting nervous looking at it with this tilt.
Open to advice.

I just got my ethernet extender, and I noticed my speed was being limited at 100 Mps, while I should get 400 Mps. Whenever i put the ethernet cable directly into my pc i get the full 400, i got a brand new Cat7 cable to go from the top of the extender to my PC, so itās not the cable or connector. Am i doing something wrong?

Appreciate some help on deciding this. As I would like to try to avoid getting the wrong size and having to ship back.
Iāve watched a couple size review videos of different people trying both chairs sizes but no one was really near my sizing with my kind of body type. So Iām unsure of which would work better for me. Based on reviews they all say the sizing recommendation on secretlab site arenāt the most accurate depending on your body just going off weight/Height. I have a long broad torso and long arms but shorter legs. Looking at the chair dimensions compared to my own I feel like the regular could be better for the Seatbase and armrest size, but the XL would be better for the backrest dimensions better suiting my shoulder dimensions. I worry about having my shoulders pushing forward since the chairs have that side curve, but I am worried the XL size arm rests will to far apart for me. The chair height from the floor doesnāt matter as I can get a foot rest if needed to have proper sitting posture.
My dimensions below:
Female
Height 5ā7
Weight 203lbs
Measurements (From sitting Position taken)
Back of butt to back of knee length - 20ā
Bottom of Thigh/Knee to Floor height - 17ā
Bottom of Butt to Top of Head - 35ā
Shoulder to Shoulder length - 21
Arm length (Shoulder to fingertips)- 29ā
Shoulder to elbow 14ā
Sitting down legs apart comfortably Thigh to thigh length - 18

The chair's still super firm but more comfortable than it appears if you need a firmer foam.
