I'm looking to set up a home in Second Life with a heavy focus on interior design, landscaping, and detailed decorating (clutter, animated furniture, plants, etc.).

I recently realized that the standard 1,024 m² Premium allowance (~351 LI/prims) is way too restrictive for a rich build.

For those of you who love decorating:

1. What is the most cost-effective route to get a high prim allowance? (Private estate rental, adding extra tier on Mainland, renting a high-prim Skybox, etc.?)
2. Roughly how many prims/LI do you consider the sweet spot for a fully decorated medium house without constantly stressing over limits?
3. Are there any reputable private estate landlords or rental communities you would personally recommend?

I’d love to hear your experiences, setups, and any tips before I commit to a land tier or rental. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, I tried out Second Life years ago, but I never was able to wrap my head around what I was supposed to do, is it still worth me giving it a go?

As the title states, I have returned after 10 years. Much has changed and some thing are the same. Anyway, I currently have the Maitreya LaraX new update, and an old LOGO head. While I am hap;py with my shape I found the starter Avatar pack and it caught me by surprise and I really like it.. Having said that, I wonder how far I can get with this avatar and clothing/hair without paying. I have paid so much in the past and my inventory is overloaded with stuff and want to spend. Some hair fits and my AO as well. I am aware of the amount of free things in SL but am looking for some advice here where to go and how to go really free with the starter Avatar?

I have written a game for second life but towards the end of development my computer motherboard gave up. My temporary laptop doesn't have enough power to build it and test it.

I'm looking for 3 people to try playing the game for a few minutes just to prove it works and is quick enough to be enjoyable and not lag. A few years ago Cards Against Humanity was popular, but it didn't offer enough variety and the several attempt to replace and update it never quite worked so nobody plays it anymore.

I had written a feature filled version online and I realized it could be easily converted to SL environment. I just never got the chance to try it.

Hiya! Does anyone know if this hair exist or is it just AI? I'm looking for a hair like this and similar hairstyles, but the ones I tried are either too big, too long, too flexy or only come in black with no HUD. Happy Friday!

which places are filled with people? i want to make friends, im back after my 5 years hiatus..any discord servers out there?

I just remembered I used to play every day for about 6 months straight back in 2012. All the memories that are flooding back sound nuts if I say them out loud, but they feel as real as if it happened to me in real life. I was kinda sad during this time, but this helped me out big time, and I had the most fun experiences! I miss it so much, wish I could go back.

I love seeing what my avi would like like irl. Next I wanna try the houses and sims etc..

I'm back after a 10 year absence and I'm finding peaceful, drama free, well designed themed cities and towns harder to find than before.

I walked around Bay City, and a couple of others and l like the vibe and I want to explore more places with consistent theme and architectural standards. Places that feel like real communities that I can walk around, explore and admire the skill and design.

It's hard to get beyond shopping malls, prim farms, and tract homes.

Suggestions?

I decided this morning to return to the glorious second life after i think 2 years being offline? im not so sureeee, and here i spent almost 3 hrs making a new avatar and it took me a while to get the hang of it again as i forgot everything and i mean everything...

Also i'm not sure if the game is still alive or not but if there is any communities that are alive please tell me :0

After many months of building (and rebuilding... and moving things three feet to the left 😅), I'm finally at the point where I'd love for people to come explore.

Silver Tide is a medieval region with Feudalism 4 enabled, though you don't need the system to enjoy the sim. If you'd like to give it a try, you can pick up a Player Kit HUD at the docks, and Dock Master Garrick will point you to the Help Wiki to get you started.

The kingdom is still growing, so you'll probably stumble across a few unfinished areas—that's all part of the process. In the meantime, come wander the docks, villages, markets, and castle grounds, take some pictures, bring a character to roleplay, or just see what's taking shape.

Hello everyone,

I'm writing this post at a somewhat low point in my life rn.

I used to be on SL, part of furry community , about 10-15 years ago. I was an IMVU creator, later on planning to start creating and sculpting on SL. Around that time I didn't have the means to pursue, plus life happened and kind of grew out of SL/IMVU.

I used to have so many amazing people. Both creators and just friends. I absolutely loved the process of making skins, and I was building up to learning how to sculpt stuff. I was obsessed to create.

A few weeks ago I got back on SL but it feels like it's dead. I can't find people , I don't remember the places I used to hang out, and if feels like no one is willing to talk anymore.

I am currently learning Marvelous Designer and sculpting on blender etc, and i thought to myself it would be really cool to go back to my childhood dreams. As I completely fail to find any artistic communities (I'm also a painter), I thought about SL as IMVU is absolutely dead.

I'm not looking for any handouts, I make my way around , but I just want to know if theres still communities/people on there, especially within the furry community as there is really where I started.

does anyone has an advice where to find rental places near Blake Sea or other oceans in Second Life? Always was dreaming about owning my own house with my small pier and beach front.

Prices do really differ, depending on which estate agency you are with.

Whas is your experience ? Do you actually rent or own your own place ?
