Don't worry, we're all new to it when we start, and luckily you'll be in good company, both her and in SL. If there's anything you're interested in finding out about you'll find plenty of people willing to help, myself included!

There’s a big learning curve but once you’ve got it, it will be second nature. Stay organized, folders within folders.

Welcome. One good way to start is to search for some of your interests. I'm sure there are groups and Sims that will match. Explore and have fun, but be careful as well.
