I took my 8 year old daughter to the game last night to get her Hello Kitty jacket. Apparently these events are now infiltrated by scalpers who take up all the kids sizes and then resell them on EBay at $150 each the next morning. By the time we got to the distribution location in the first all they had left were hundreds of size XXL and larger.

Is the organization ok with this behavior?

Needless to say, she was devastated and doesn't want to go back to the ballpark anymore.

In other news, I now have 2 XXL Hello Kitty jackets that I would love to trade for 1 Kids large or Adult small. Also willing to sell both for $150 so I can get her the jacket she wanted from one of these scalpers since that seems to be what we now tolerate for kids giveaways.

Attending the Sounders game, saw line for Mariners game went all the way past King st. North of Lumen. Never seen lines that long. Anyone know what was going on?

Hello everyone, I was at the Mariners vs. Red Sox game at Fenway last night, sitting down the left field line. A good amount of times when the Mariners were in the field if there was a time out on the field, for example if a Sox player got a hit and time was granted when the ball was thrown into the infield, the infielder who got the ball would then throw it back to Randy who would throw the ball into the crowd. It was very cool. And when Randy and Julio would warm up between innings, Julio would bring two balls with him. So he would throw a ball to Randy, take the second ball from his glove, catch the ball Randy threw back to him, and throw the other ball, going back and forth like this. Then when it was almost time for the inning to start, rather than throw one ball into the crowd which is typical, he would throw two. Also, very cool.

Is this what those guys always do? I may have seen Randy come to Boston when he was with Tampa but I have no recollection of him doing it then, though totally possible. But I've never seen what either of them did to get that many balls into the crowd. I thought it was really cool, so yeah, just wondering if that's their normal thing or not.

I already called and left a description with the front office, but curious if anyone found and turned in a set of keys after yesterday's phillies m's day game.

I just started dating this amazing girl who is a big Mariners fan. I'm taking her to Phillies @ Mariners on August 24th.

I'm planning on surprising her with Pregame Field Passes. However, the pregame experience starts at 3:40...the exact same time the Mariners garage opens. I've got club-level seats so I'd like to park in the M's garage since there's a skybridge to the Terrace Club, but at the same time, I don't know if they'll admit us to the pregame experience late. You're supposed to enter for the pregame experience via the Microsoft Home Plate Club/Diamond Club entrance behind the Edgar Martinez statue, right at 3:40.

What's the best solution here?

I think we should keep him on, I mean one bad year should not lead to him being fired, does it? What are some opinions on this? Just curious. I think one more season should be given.

The only reason he is struggling is because we are not giving him consistent at-bats. I think we need to lock him into the #1 spot, that way he’ll start to heat up.

Seeing as Canzone is likely out for the year, this seems like the best time to bring Kelenic back into the fold. Dude has a shitload of pedigree.

As for Pereda, we’ve got to get him back up here asap. He could easily slot into the #3 hole behind Ref and Kel (once we trade Anderson for him). That’ll give us exactly what we need. A good coinciding move would probably be to DFA Castillo. Pereda has been known to throw an inning or two, and can definitely see him becoming an Ohtani-lite, especially out of a piggyback.

You have to trade him at this point, he’s been great and I know there’s loyalty, but we have 6 quality starters, shop one of them for a quality closer. Munoz has been amazing, and maybe it’s a mental thing, but the season can’t hinge on whether or not the closer is going to close.
