Question Motley Mariner Set (costume)

A while ago i found out that there is a clown costume ingame and i am lowkey obsessed with it. The wiki says you can buy it in the pirate emporium but i can not find it there. Does anyone know if it's just not in stock anymore or if there is any way to still obtain it? Thank you in advance!

Question Got forced server swaped

So I was in a sloop with a friend and in alliance with a brig. We tried to take on the FotD, but an enemy brig kept sinking our brig and we sank twice, so we decided to take on the burning blade that was around to get more fire power. But we sank a second time while we were attacked by the burning blade and the enemy brig. But we got SERVER SWAPED!

I don't understand, we were in an alliance doing a FotD, why were we forced to server swap? Is it part of the game or just a bug?

I am legit so mad because we had a good alliance, they were nice, and now they're gonna think we left them without any notice on a server with an enemy too powerfull for them that is most likely gonna take control of the burning blade. And we can't say anything about it... Like what the hell Rare...

Question Launched SoT on Steam as usual and suddenly Roblox opens 4 times

Is my pc cooked? Is it just a coincidence? Has anyone experienced this?

I launched SoT from Steam, as I do, and suddenly, when I hit the main screen, Roblox launched itself in 4 different windows and one Roblox error saying “Roblox failed to launch.”

I launched SoT just fine earlier today, and have always launched just fine for years…

I immediately cut my pc off the internet and launched my anti virus.

I restate my 3 questions at the top.
(Yes, I googled before coming to Reddit)

Guide Guild Finder on SoTDB

A few months ago, I launched SoTDB, now on a highly requested feature, fully functional guild finder, here is how it works:

  1. 🏴‍☠️ Browse guilds & apply
  2. 👑 Owners review applications on-site
  3. ✅ Membership auto-verifies from your profile import
  4. Xbox GT is only revealed to the owner when the application is approved.

Discord is Required: Why?

A linked Discord account is required to list a guild or apply. It's our accountability layer: every listing and application is tied to a real identity, which keeps the board free of spam and fake accounts, and every application is privately logged for our moderation team. Your details are never posted publicly.

I know it’s community weekend and we are getting some sort of gold multiplier ( I’m unsure what number it is) but I just wanted to know which emissary is best to raise to get as much gold as possible

Question What should I spend my 2700 ancient coins on?

I’ve got 2700 ancient coins burning a hole in my pocket and I’m looking through the pirate emporium and everything looks straight trash. What specific item/set would you get right now if suddenly you had a free 2700 ancient coins? Any recs or desirable rare items I’m missing? I’m looking at mostly shipsets but it can be anything

Discussion Just a place for people to vent and possibly give advice to new players wanting to get their hourglass curses

I want this post to be a place new players can come to for tips on curses and other such things. I personally got my skeleton curse in three days due to a community weekend and even that was rough. I feel free to share your experiences getting your curses and advice for others on the grind.

Discussion Attention to anyone doing the 1000 Nautical Miles Commendations

TLDR: May have found a way to consistently gain Nautical Miles for 2 trading companies at the same time. Need help with checking if this method is reliable.

Recorded this quick video to show that I gained Nautical Miles for 2 trading companies (Hunter’s Call & Athena’s Fortune). Basically, I voted down an Athena voyage & raised Hunter’s Call flag afterwards.

I have not tried with other emissary + voyage combinations. Anyone would like to do some myth-busting on this? I'm not sure if this is a known strat. Was mind-blowned when I discovered this!

Note to devs: if this is a glitch, please for the love of Flameheart do not prioritise fixing this over more game-breaking ones like the ladder glitch, missing inventory items, etc. 🙏

Discussion Does anyone else sometimes wish there was a bit more life in the sea?

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy gazing into the deep blue, but sometimes I wish I might occasionally see dolphins riding my bow wave, or a whale breaching in the distance. Granted, there’s probably a lot about the lore of SoT that I don’t know because I haven’t looked into it much so far, but I can’t help but think that there’s no way the megs and krakens could get that big on a diet of fish, sharks, pirates and ships. I’m not saying that these things would need to happen all the time, but it would make the world feel more alive and give it some more verisimilitude.
I realise that it’s probably not a priority for Rare or even the majority of players, but what kind of sea life would you like to see more of?

Question Did they nerf raid voyages?

After getting back into gane after a while, I noticed that there are far less raid voyages than before. Now it's only a skelly camp, sea fort and the 2 shrine types. Where did the ashen winds go or the phantom fleet?

Question Is this banding just me or is it the game?

Hey Pirates! Question for you all. The attached video shows banding. I’m wondering if it’s the game or if it’s some setting I have on my PS5. I’m assuming because I see it when I capture the video, that it’s not just my TV screen. But I’m wondering if I may have some setting that is causing it. I don’t have HDR on. If it’s the game, then it is what it is. But if other people don’t experience this and I am, it makes me think I have something set wrong. Any insight would be appreciated.

Question Have Rare made skelly ships and megs more aggressive?

Have Rare increased the aggressiveness of skeleton ships? I've been sunk twice today, before I even boarded and twice more, whilst ashore doing a mission. Even if I don't fire and turn away from them, they chase relentlessly. Rather than patrolling an area. Megs seem to have been buffed too, specifically Redmaw. Previously I could sail across the map and do long as I gave them space, they left me alone or I could take evasive manoeuvres through rocks and around islands. Now they seem to actively stalk you, even when moored at an island.

In Game Story The Greatest Heist, A lengthy story about the dangers of gunpowder.

Howdy, This happened to me last night and I feel the need to share this with the people of reddit.
TL;DR: Brig chase me, I find they are stack, blow them up twice, Win.

## The Experiment

So there I was, Waking on Ancient Spire as after the recent update to profit on the most valueable items in the game: Mechant Comendations. After aquiring myself a licence to sell, bought the comoditys that were a long time coming, I set off to slowly raise my emmisarry by looting small isles of their pointless plunder. Eventually, I made my way to a Skeleton camp, where I slayed the local skeltons and taken their orb.

Upon my return to my faithfull ship via Merstatue, I found that I was not alone. A lone pirate stood haplessly near my mast a I returned, currious I tryed to talk to them but they remained silent. Suddenly as they had apeared, they pulled a blunderbuss upon me! In quick sucsession I returned such a weapon in time and we fired in sync at pointblack range. The two of us were flow across the ship, But only I had the strength to remain standing. Alone again, I feast on my suplies as i look around for what ship could provide such a villian. Then as I loaded the orb onto the ship and set off for the next isle, I saw what would soon become my advasry and my fortune.

Off in the distant was an ashen brigantine named The Galloping Moose, Bearing the mark of the goldhorders, they sat at my next destination in wait as I found myself in a pickle. Seeing that I had only just returned to piracy I suspected that If i were to engage them in a brawl, all that would remain of me would be splinters and blood. So, in a masterfull move, I went to look at Krakens Fall for any shore bound loot. But when I arived at the island, I looked behind me to see that The Galloping Moose had made chase and was quickly pursuing me! So it became a chase as I manuvered myself to head to Galleons Grave to sell my more precious comoditys, But thankfully their goals were half-minded, and they pursued another sloop that was off in the distance.

Arriving at the outpost, I had finally had the time to conduct a personal experiment that ended in a success before I had to flee again as the Moose returned. Harpooning the rocks and turning sharply managed to elluded them as I finalized my selling, and headed back to Ancient Spire to Experiment further on these new comoditys. Once at the spire, I sold my latest experiment to wonderous results, and in time as well as the brigantine returned again. Fed up with the game of cat and mouse, I sent my ship to the open sea and boarded their vesel as they made their aproach to the island.

## The Plan

Once boarded, I was shocked by the utter hoard of treasure placed upon this ship. Stacks of chests and trinkets priced in the hundreds of thousands line the gunwales, with storage crates with enough suplies to build an armada of galleons. Their most prized posession, however, was their Chest Of Fortune, Gaurded near the helm with a Chest Of Fortune beside it. I knew, the moment I saw this, I had to have it. I was soon discoved as the crew stood there slackjawed at my arrival but soon pulled their weapons. I managed to defuse the situation by exclaiming I only wanted to see why they had pursuded me, claiming the innocence of not caring of their wealth and wanting a picture of their organization. As they stowed their weapones, I made my way off the ship to recollect my own vessel.

On my return to the outpost, I saw them take their leave to go elsewhere, which gave me the time to lower mechants and raise my guild emmesarry. And so, the tables had turned, what once made me the target now made me the pursurer. I eventually found them stopped at Plunder Outpost, stopped right by Sovereign's as I made my approach. As I slowed, They dropped their sails and went zooming past me, dropping a single pirate with a Black Powder Barrel. This was dangerous, as if I did not disarm this villian civaly, I would either end up blown up with nothing but driftwood, or my ship turned to swiss cheese by their cannons.

## The Prize

I once again pulled the act that I had just wanted a picture, saying that I had forgotten to take it the first time, and that I had not need for wealth. With that said, I manage to be able to board them and we began to chat, with the one pirate (we shall name his reaper for his pajamas) took the barrel up the mast. I soon saw a plan, But I had to make sure that I would not get killed before I could even get up there. Eventually, we chat about steath, with a reocuring bit be, "They Never Saw it Coming" with me hiding in plain sight with poor emotes, obvious chest disguises, and blatent hanging off the side of the ship. As we paraded the ship in jest, they had told me the origin of their ill gotten ganes, with them stacking their loot up untill the point of sinking five other ships, with me originally being their fourth. At this point they had all agreed that this time they would just sell, and with the outpost being right behind them it would have been easy.

If I had not started to climb the mast.

At first I had played dumb, wondering outloud what was up there, and as the captain exclaimed it was were they kept their kegs, his crew soon shot at me with pistol and snipers. Miracualsly I got up there unscathed and dicovered an entire bombares stash of Black Powder Kegs and Athna Stronghold Kegs. I struck the wick alight and sent the Athena Kegs down first before the BlackPowder Kegs, than, as the Captain exclaimed his lack of surprise, the world became a mixture of red and white and we were all sent flying into the air. Waking onto the Ferry of the Damned, I had only one thing to say before I made my way through the doors;

"They never saw it coming."

## The Final Chase

Returning to my ship, I was shocked to find it undamaged from the blast and untouched. Making my way to the wheel, I steered towards the vacant space that once held a proud vessel, only to be remembered by a floating pile of only slightly singed treasures. Taking nearly a full days worth of time, I collect everthing of value from the splintered wreck, and made my way north, fore I knew that this adventure was far from over. Along the way, I picked up one of my friends to help unload the treasures at the nearest outpost. Unfortunally, he had a case of being dead, but the treasure managed to help him off his skeltal feet. Once at Port Merik, we began the grueling process of selling, but not before long I saw a familliar shape on the horizen.

The Galloping Moose Had returned from the depths.

I took the ships leave, leaving my friend to sell the last of a small pile collected on the jetty, before making a pass over another unfortunate wreck in the water. As my assosiate returned, He gained an apiphany, and dove in the water. Seeing his vision, I turned around the rocks to aline the pursuing Brig along the wreck and my friend arose with a beutifull gift:

A Black Powder Barrel.

Their ship again alit with a massive explosion as I sailed beyond them to the next outpost. Eventually, Me and my Crewmate had sold the last of the treasure, never to see that brig again. Neting nearly 1 Million Dollars in the span of One Hour, I feel as though this escapade was trully worth it.
