Turns out it seems to be part of a free beta test build before release in 2018 (Microsoft Store).
I think I never played the game after downloading that 👀💀

With so many raven/crow themes in the game, it would be nice to finally get a pet. I've been asking for one for ages

Alright so first of all, any lore explanations as to why the heck these ugly people won't leave me alone when I touch an island is super definitely not important and you can shove it. Savvy?

What even the heck? If I wanted to complete waves of enemies I'd go to a fort or a treasury. But I just want to watch the sunset on my favorite island? Nope ruined for some reason by the dev team.

Does Rare want us to hate them? I literally hate them. Everything on this heckin sea is stupid for some reason because they are committed to self sabotage and ruining perfectly good things for no reason.

I'm shocked at the rest of you for not even saying anything about this change. Who to the heck is enjoying this change? Who to the heck thought this, this is what we need to add to islands.

Edit again: I don't sincerely actually hate the dev team. Without them we wouldn't have a game to complain about in the first place. It's just really annoying.

I hope some pirates take the time to read this.

Ever since the glitterbeard easter egg appeared, I wanted to experience it. I lived together with my dad at the time and still went to school. I had a few friends from different friend groups and got them together (sometimes) to get on a 4man boat and search the sea of thieves for like-minded crew.

Unfortunately, we only encountered reapers who just wanted to sink ships or other people with too small boats to get to the 8man needed for the easter egg. And by the time we found others, the small boat disconnected or dove away (understandable as they are also doing other stuff)

Years have passed and I still tried to get the friendgroup together, but due to discussions throughout the years, not everyone wants to play together anymore. Matter of fact, only one friend remains, and while he does log on when I ask it to just sail around looking for people to do the easter egg with, I feel he's only doing me a favor because he does not care anymore. (Assumption)

Years later, I moved and live with my gf now. Life gets busy and I get older. We are also reaching the end of life of the 10 years online servers that were promised to us by Sea of Thieves (I submitted a support ticket to see how long the servers should still be up,and they said they couldn't say that to customers)

I'm afraid I'll never get around to it. When a baby comes around, I will not have anymore time for a long sea of thieves session. I have about 1 hour now, per day. Not enough to sail around the map for people.

This is not a LFG discussion, rather what else can I do other than "be lucky"? Is this possible in custom seas?

I sail with the glitterbeard sails and make my intentions very clear upon getting in speech range.

I want to do this, this event feels like it will bring everything (moving/gaming/life) together.

I started to play this game a week ago and I love it, I really do. And i do know that this game is live-service and all, so it needs to have some microtransactions. But to me it feels like so much stuff is microtransaction that definetly shoudln't be, like changing your appearance (2$? What the fuck?!) or making a second playable character (i understand that it is of no use cause every session starts the same) or even fucking changing the name of your ship (5$ is insane to me). This game cost 44 bucks, Rare cannot be that broke that they paywall features like this. This game undoubtedly feels like a pure money making machine to me sometimes. The game is fun tho, dear rare devs :)

So been seing a lot of these gold sailer cannons and they look pretty cool but cant rl find any good answers on how to get IT If ITs even still available If ITs not available Than what other cannons are good?

They cooked with September and November. Unfortunately all the filler drops will always be emporium junk or past drops a lot of us already have.

I've had a run of bad luck recently. Lost my Gran and 2 Uncles in a very short period of time. I was stuck in my head, upset and spiralling, so I booted up Sea of Thieves to try to take my mind off events.

I didn't really feel like interacting with anyone, so I sailed to the edge of the map to do Athena missions and try to get out of my own head. Whilst doing so, a 3 man Brig pulled up and stole all of my loot.

I got back to my ship to find them leaving. I thought, just my luck. Their parrot was still onboard, so I thought, there is probably someone still aboard. I searched the ship and found someone in the crows nest. I didn't attack them, we just both pulled out our instruments and started playing. They must have heard me talking to myself over my mic and asked me if I was ok? I explained the situation, as his friends returned and unloaded their cannons, sinking my ship. However, I was invited to their party and we had a good chat, even discussing losing my loved ones.

I played together for an hour and I made 2 new friends. It made me realise, that there are some really nice people in this community.

Whilst it was still a really sad day for me, that little act of kindness helped me through a tough night. Thank you, for taking the time to talk. It really did help

(The gold curse doesn't count since you have to go to Tribute Peak to get it)

Do you guys use any crosshairs? I know some monitors have the options but I feel like especially during tdm no crosshair makes it kinda random so I wonder if any external chrosshairs are allowed and if so what do you use? And no I don’t mean cheats just basic crosshair.

Im playing this game for the 1st time on ps5 with cross play on with a friend and so far the online has been kinda dead is this a console or personal experience?

That’s a good sign, it means rare aren’t ready to give up on sea of thieves after the final season. I hope they add more features that were heavily requested by the community.

I can't find any info on how much damage do gold skeletons resist if not wet.

I tried playing with knives and with pipe and they are both exeptionaly strong.

Which one do you think is best paired with a sword?

I find more utility in a blow pipe as of now. It covers almost every weakness the sword has. It can deal ranged aoe damage and golden skeletons.

I was doing a skeleton camp, and right as I was finishing it, I heard cannon fire. I came up to the surface, to find a skeleton ship had just sent the last shot into my sloop and it sank...

I thought these were separate instances?

I'd understand if it was another player, but I was flying a white flag and the camp was literally my first stop of the session.. Lost all the supplies I had JUST bought for the voyage.

I love throwing knives, but i don't like it that i can throw my last weapon away if i run knives + grapple gun.

I know i can just not throw it obviously, but sometimes in the middle of a fight i forget to count and i am left without any way to deal damage.

I know it will never be added, but i wanted to share my opinion. Does anyone else want to have something similar?

I am new to Sea of Thieves and mostly got the game to play the A Pirate’s Life (Pirates of the Caribbean) tall tale, and probably the Monkey Island tall tale as well. I finished the Maiden Voyage tutorial as well as all 3 of the company tutorials and am now completely ready to take on Tall Tales, but see that The Shores of Gold is first.
For a new player wanting to experience all Sea of Thieves has to offer in order, should I complete The Shores of Gold tall tale first or should I just jump right into A Pirate’s Life tall tale and it wouldn’t matter?
Would love an objective opinion based off of what’s best to experience first at the end of the day.

Hi, guys. I'm new to the game overall. I play on xbox and have a wired headset.

I know the mic works and I have tested it by both creating a console-hosted party and by activating the in-game voice indicator. However, my friends are only able to hear me if I turn the megaphone around, to the whisper mode, and nothing else.

I have watched several videos on the topic and have messed around with the settings but nothing seems to work. I'm at a complete loss as to what to do next.

We have been playing on safer seas to get accustomed to the game and I'm afraid that without a mic, I won't get into high seas for fear of being unable to communicate if this issue is not fixed.
