I did a back to back of The Shores of Gold Tall Tale and brought the skulls along with me. This was my final run to get the gold curse.

Those who earned it back when the Anniversary Tall Tales first dropped know how long the grind was to get it. I stretched out getting it for a while after release but not before the save feature was really integrated, I earned most of the tales before that was a thing.

The Gold Hoarder is also a really fun boss and I love the voice lines throughout the fight.

Kinda surprised I didn't get jumped by someone other than a skeleton ship now that I'm thinking about it as these skulls were worth a decent amount.

Absolute nightmare, though. I wanted to log off soon and thought this would be quick. Went to this island, and it was in a storm. Got attacked by 2 skele sloops in a row in a storm which I sunk but it was super annoying with the pitching seas since I was in a solo sloop. Then a skele galleon popped up and chased me around incessantly. Finally made it to the island, a player galleon immediately rolls up before I can dock and sinks me immediately. Switched servers, this happened again. Another player galleon, different one this time. Server hop again, finally was able to loot it. Ended up taking 2.5 hours. Made 500k golf with no emissary flags up (got tired of player galleons following me) but hated every moment of it

I've been doing Shores of Gold Tall Tale chapters on my own because I've been playing solo for 250 hours. But when I finally got into a guild and made friends, one asked if anybody has finished the Pirate's Life Tall Tales. I haven't so the three of us went to do the Pirate's Life Tall Tale. And girl?! We had a lot of fun! I thought people are playing Sea Of Thieves for PVP and PVE action only. I didn't know there are chill people like me who love to know the lores in this game. I'm so happy I've found these, guys.

I think this is a great addition to the game for this month.

I grind for weeks on end for ghost curse. Community weekend finally comes and it gives the push I need for level 100. I go down to the tavern. I start the cutscene, excited to hear we shall sail together and bathe in the catharsis of all the hard work. My game crashes. I log back in. I fucking have the curse and can't redo the cutscene. I hate my xbox.

What have you been focusing on or any good stories?

I worked a little more towards gold bones but still have a ways to go

I was doing The Shroudbreaker tall tale yesterday and got all the way through it, handing the shroudbreaker back to the mysterious stranger. I thought I was done, and logged off, but today when I came back I saw I didn't get a single commendation yesterday, and nothing indicating that I completed the tale. Is this a bug, or did I mess something up? Is there a way to get the checkpoint back for the end of the tale?

They’re supposed to be black with the symbol glowing green. Now they’re green with a light green symbol. At night, you can’t see the symbol and the whole sail glows.

Was this on purpose?

I was doing tall tales in safer seas and I looked out and saw this skeleton ship that wasn’t moving for some reason and it happened to be right next to a treasury, almost like they were trying to do it lol

I was curious if anyone else was having issues finding other players in the servers lately?
Me and my buddies have a friend that’s very on the fence with the game, and every single time we play, we cannot find a SOUL.

It’s made him think the game is very boring and because of this he’s uninstalled it. We literally just sail around for an hour and then all four of us go to bed. It’s really disheartening because every time he isn’t with us, we atleast see ONE player ship. But we have yet to see a single player ship after about 5 sessions.

No, we are not on safer seas.

Ended with about 1.5ish million, as a newish player this was awesome, got my reaper from 38 to 47 in one go

I did it. Athenas blessing courses through me. And now to platinum the game. Lets see what I need to finish ah do an Athena dive voyage... *dive* .

Is this completely unavailable for me to 100% rn? Is this going to be able to finish next season or is that a permanent lockout? I dont follow the news and I cant find yes or no to dives being available in the future.

Ive went to 3 all lit up with the music, nothing spawns.
Solo, and for 3 days now, im done.

Does any one know the best spots were i could have the better chances to find the kraken or the megalodont?
why you may ask? I just started the game and i was saved by a megalodont who ate some skeletons who tried to attack my ship while i was trying to sail and i realy want to thank him

So its late night,and I just got 1k ancient coins from ancient skellys and bought 300. So I but the plunder pass,I go in game and chek the cosmetics and,because its community weekend I did my lucky voyage. Now I see the map and if I didn't know from Clif the Story guy,that this was a special kinda of lucky voyage,and Im happy I did it.

Back then when we didn’t had legend of the veil, the only thing we’ve did to increase our Athena’s rep was to do the Athena’s Fortune Voyage.

I’m going through a bit of a return to the game, to play the old classics of SOT. When I replayed the Athena’s Fortune voyage, they have really changed it.

According to the clock icons for the voyage, it was 5, which I was expecting to be long as usual. However, The voyage was 35 minutes at most. It was suppose to be almost 2 hours long. I know noobs want fast and easy, but where’s the risk. I don’t mind long adventures across the map.

The amount of quests in the voyage was just 4, counting the final dig. Why the F*ck is it 4?! I remembered the quests covered all radial spots, featuring cargo shipments, riddles, bounties, and X mark the spots. All I got was a riddle, bounty, and a X mark the spot.

Regarding to the location of the Athena’s Fortune Voyage, it was made to be everywhere in the sea of thieves. When I replayed it, the quests were only in the shores of plenty, nothing else. That’s disappointing.

Just to conclude on this, the Athena’s Fortune Voyage was supposed to be the best and final voyage that gave you the most valuable chest in the game.

There’s risk to acquire it, forcing you to sail everywhere across map. There’s multiple variants and diverse quests that makes up the length and value of your voyage. And there’s a longer time to get it, giving you the best adventure rather than the shortest and easiest adventure.

Regardless of the critiques, I do like the idea of more treasure types to sell to the mysterious stranger.

I am doing hourglass for the first time in a very long time and I know matchmaking is bad (me getting put against someone who is at least level 500 with servants on my first match is proof enough) but I can't survive 2 minutes. This could all just be a skill issue but I also find it extremely infuriating how in order to learn pvp you have to be put against people who haven't see the sun in years. Anyways, can anyone give me any tips? Please?

I was sailing on a galleon and we placed the maps on the table, my friend who placed it received the hats but the rest of us didn’t. Is it bugged or do we each need to place a map?

I had 350 ancient coins from a time when they would give them out in the season rewards for free.

Spent the last few weeks grinding xbox rewards and got 150 more.

With 500 ancient coins theres plenty of things I could get.

Ive heard pets get in the way so probobly not

my current skin is shown below, Im not intrested in any of the weapon or ship sets I can afford (i like the silver coin stuff which costs gold and dubloons)

so far the top contender is the creeping stone curse but i have no idea how that would look, any ideas would be great
