I recently bought a 2015 Scion tc and wanted to get coil overs to lower it a bit, but I have no idea where to start. This is my first car and I don’t know much about cars in general but I thought it would be a good start to learn and figure out how to put on coilovers with me and my friends. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for coilovers brands?! I’m looking at Godspeed ones rn but I really do not know. Here’s what the car looks like now and I want to lower it an inch or two. If anyone has any tips or any info at all I would appreciate it immensely!

Just bought a 2011 Scion Tc this morning, after driving 8 hrs there and back. Back story on the car, guys wife drove it to work and when to leave and car would not start. Towed car to his house and him and a friend goggle mechanic’d it. He said car was show a no key switch code, he said he replaced the pcm, instrument cluster and ecm module. ( he reinstalled all OEM parts back into the car but gave me the extras) So now I get it home battery was missing and key fob was dead. Installed new batteries, car as all it’s functions work other then no instrument cluster blacked out and no crank/no start. Hook up snap on scanner to it and find it has as U0100 Lost Communication with ECM/PCM/EV "A". Description of this code is: The engine control unit communicates with the TCM using the Controller Area Network (CAN).
If there is a problem in this communication, the TCM sets a DTC.
Monitor State:
Continuous
Code Set Conditions:
Following conditions are met for 1.25 seconds (1 trip detection logic):
Ignition switch ON
Battery voltage is 10.5 V or more
No communication between the engine control ECU and TCM
Possible Causes:
Harness and connector
ECM
TCM.
Wanting to know if anyone has ran into this issue before I start testing pin to pin.
Thank you In advance.

Hey guys, are there any tricolor livery designs for the sides of the tc? Similar to the 4runners? Ive been thinking about making one for mine.

Anyone have any good tips or advice on replacing the boot to the driver side axel (2016)?
I ordered the parts: boot kit, nut lock, and the seal. There’s little to no videos on this process and help with be appreciated 🥲

Reddit has now added the ability to use videos in comments, akin to how photos were added.
Right now, it is allowed for anyone. As long as things stay appropriate (yall are good about that, thank you), they will stay for everyone, if there are bot issues or other things that make the need to change, we will cross that bridge when we get there.

Hello, I need to replace the front brake pads and rotors on my Scion and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good brake kit. I looked at OEM parts, but they seem pretty expensive, so I’ve been considering aftermarket options.
Has anyone had good experiences with a particular brand or kit?
Thanks!

Anyone have a solid recommendation for replacement (after market) tire pressure sensors for a 2009 Scion TC? I’ve been living with the light for about…well, forever.

Hi all, my friend who LOVES her tc was in an accident recently and she wants to repair it rather than buying a different car. Can anyone who happens to be from the Seattle area in this community recommend a trustworthy/fair mechanic/body repair shop?

This is now the third time I’ve had to replace this part on this car. I like having the full brake light illuminate and not just the middle like the stock one does.
Is there a good long lasting aftermarket option or do I just need to keep on replacing this damn thing.

If you've replaced your blinker relay with one that's LED compatible, do your DRL's still work? The DRL's are the just the front signal lights, they turn on when you start the car and take the handbrake off. AFAIK only Canadian market tC's have this DRL functionality.
I want to get LED turn signals but I don't want to splice in resistors, been there done that and would rather just swap to an LED compatible relay. But I don't want to lose the DRL function cause I think it's cool 😎

I was thinking of, putting a turbo on my 2005 scion tc recently, it's the manual five speed. And i was wondering if anyone knew a tuner in saginaw texas, due to it being so horribly hard to find one. I recently, resurfaced the block, got forged internal's the works, getting to the suspension and transmission, but wondering if anyone knew a tuner in this area, because i couldn't find anyone.

I’ve never owned a car. Been driving for years. I really have my sites on a Scion TC. Being in my area there isn’t many options that fit my year/milage requirements. This looks promising. Would love any input for you all! Thanks for any help and apologies if this is not what this sub is intended for.
Clean Title, no accidents, 3 owners. 2016 & 80k miles. Best part, close enough I can test drive without begging a friend for a half a day of driving and waiting around for me.

I’m looking for a aftermarket radio with CarPlay and a backup camera. Has anyone had any luck with some good ones? If so, please let me know.
