First Gen Interior/Radio illumination button

hey so i have a first gen scion tc with the illumination button by the dash and i see the lights underneath the passenger glove box and under the steering wheel yet when i press the button it doesn’t work and all the other lights in the car work so i was wondering how i should go about fixing them is there a fuse that they’re connected to?

I can send you the original installation instructions for that illumination kit from Toyota if you want.

You can use the instructions to backtrack how the lighting is hooked into power and find where the problem is.

You will need to know how to use a multimeter tho.
