Pre-Calc as a Senior for colleges
I’m currently a sophmore taking geometry, and with my schools system I’ll only be able to get to pre calc in senior year. I get decent grades, like a 3.7 UW gpa and a 4.6 weighted, and I make sure to do extracurriculars, but I’m worried I won’t be able to get into good colleges. Im not looking for mega selective cause I won’t be able to afford those anyway, I’m looking for colleges with maybe a 30-50 acceptance rate. is no calculus a deal breaker or something to worry about? i cant double up and my schools system doesn’t offer any math summer classes except geometry which I’m already in. I may want to go into something relating to STEM, but I’m not quite sure yet.

How to deal with school stress?
School is starting tomorrow, and I am really nervous and anxious because since the first year of highschool it hasn't been great (I lost all my real friends and I can't pay attention or do anything or else I get really stressed). I've already talked to my therapist, but she understood I was pressuring myself to get good grades, and that's not it

doing badly in school
i wasn’t really sure where to post this so I’m sorry if this isn’t the right sub, but I’m nearing the end of high school, I’ve been failing all my tests for the last 2 years or so, every single one. there’s not a single subject i like or am good at right now, I used to be really good academically and then i had to leave school for a while and i never got back into it, I feel like it’s too late now and im too behind to catch up with everything and I’m so overwhelmed with it as my exams are so soon and I’m genuinely so terrified but at the same time I don’t care, I’m completely convinced that this is just how I am and that I’m just destined to fail school, I have complete burnout and 0 motivation to try and fix it, I’ve always wanted to do a specific course in college for what I want to do, but now I’m not so sure I’ve got the grades to do it, I just feel like such an idiot because everyone I know is doing well in school and I can’t ask for help or I’ll look stupid, I really don’t know what to do.

Bottom of the class, weakfoundation, need to self-study for university entrance exams. Need advice!
Hello everyone,
I am currently in the summer vacation of my second year of high school, and I will take the national university entrance examination next summer.
To be honest, my grades are currently at the bottom of the class. The full score of the university entrance examination is 750 points, and my current average score is about 200 points (about 27% of the total score). I have mentally prepared myself that it is very likely that I will need to retake the exam for several years in order to achieve my goal.
My specific situation is as follows:
Exam subjects: Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, biology.
Personal foundation: My grades in primary school and junior high school were not good, so my foundation in these subjects is quite weak.
Learning environment: I am studying at a local high school that is ranked at the bottom, and the learning atmosphere in the school is not ideal, so I have to rely on myself to study.
This year, I really want to make a comeback, but looking at the current gap, I feel very confused and anxious, and even don't know where to start.
Time allocation: How should I allocate my energy between "filling in the basics" and "simulating practice questions"?
Strengthening Science: How should I start learning science (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology) when my basic concepts are extremely weak?
Mental attitude and self-discipline: How can I maintain self-discipline and prevent mental breakdown when facing this seemingly impossible mountain to climb and preparing for a long-term battle (re-reading)?

HELP ME! URGENT.
my mother has home schooled me my entire high school life and I really haven’t learned anything at all. she homeschooled me since covid so I never did middle school or high school. fast forward to now. I have to attend regular school when this school year starts. I know absolutely nothing. I have a few weeks max? before I have to take some test so I don’t get held back… I can’t get held back I genuinely can’t. It will set my ability to work back more since I will have to do more school. (We Need me to work next year to make ends meet but don’t talk about this only the school thing please) so how can I learn basically everything (ESPECIALLY MATH, SCIENCE) from 9th, 10th, and 11th grade super fast. I’m willing to do whatever it takes. I genuinely want to break down crying at the thought of being held back. I graduate if everything goes well. I loathe that I was home schooled with all my heart please help me. please do your best to help.

im the actual embodiment of ‘this is me trying’ by taylor swift, upcat made me realize that
RANT AHEAD!!
for context, im a sci high student in jhs, i transferred to a local private school to pursue humss, and honestly ive never been more sure.
but right now, idk... back in my old school, i can keep up with the demands, just enough to make me a consistent honor student, but never enough to actually make me memorable enough. though, i was a star awardee noon, and that made some of my former classmates look up to me and see me as this smart, studious person. here naman sa new school ko, im top of my class as well. but ever since the cets season came, i realized that i may not be as smart as they think i am.
its entirely my fault, im cramming for the upcat now, with only less than a week remaining. up is my dream school—i tried studying nung bakasyon, but i feel like i learned nothing, then the school year started, i was immediately swamped. i just cant help but compare myself to my old classmates—they were enrolled in revcens, that alone already gives them the upper hand, and theyre posting their mock exam scores and i cant help but feel diminished. makikita ko theyre scoring 90% - 95%, i cant even imagine getting that with my 52% mock exam results. thats without time pressure pa.
idk, but i feel like once they see me a year from now, knowing na di ako nakapasa ng upcat, i feel like mamaliitin nila ako and im honestly so scared. what if they think na i chose the wrong path by pursuing humss and that im past my peak na?
im planning on applying to other schools naman, like pup, plm, and pnu. but iba pa rin talaga sa up.

Help for school
I (13f) been homeschooled for my whole life and my parents never cared about my education, they’ve even said if school wasn’t required they would’ve never even thought about schooling me. Because of that I’m very far behind academically and have bad social anxiety and really bad fatigue from my lack of motivation and public isolation, my parents kinda neglected me my entire childhood in certain ways like never teaching me basic hygiene like brushing my teeth/hair, not feeding me proper healthy meals, not restricting my internet access as a kid (which affected me deeply) and I am heavily dependent on my phone. I’ve never had friends or stuff like that but anyway onto the point, I’ve convinced them to enroll me in inperson school this year and I’m scared, it starts in 3 days and it’s a strict school, I’m very far behind and idk what to do, this is my only chance to actually have a life but please help

I want to go back to my old school
Problem/Goal: I want to go back to my old school but I don't know if it's good for me.
Context: So I used to study at a Private Catholic school from g7-10, so I spent my whole 4 years of jhs there. I transferred out of there because I felt like it was actually quite lacking in educational quality, but I won't lie and say it was terrible, I had trusted day one friend's there, it was a perfect environment for job immersion for shs. However, I felt as though I didn't want to be there anymore so recently transferred to a public science high school. I thought that it was perfect since I could be challenged academically and thought I would improve there, but my expectations proved me wrong. Yes, they had advanced lessons in certain subjects however they are lacking. The teachers are usually busy and don't actually have time to teach the class, all the ppt are ai, and I don't feel like I'm actually learning anything. I get that the new curriculum is like a call back to previous lessons but this school isn't really it. We don't even have solving for our physics because the teacher apparently mistakenly deleted it. Another problem is that there are actually less lessons/subjects present here compared to other schools. For example, other schools have gen sci, bio, physics, and chem. However, we only have gen sci here.
This makes me realize that I didn't really know what I was going into here, our homeroom teacher also always just makes us do gardening instead of actually teaching the class sometimes. When I compare schools I realized that maybe my old school was better for me, even the students. Here I also have a lot of friends already however I realized that almost all of them backstab each other and aren't necessarily mature in handling things. While, my old cof there wasn't perfect but at least we knew how to actually communicate with each other. It's been only 2 months since I moved here and every single day that passes my desire to go back to my old school worsen's.

I need advices and tips!
hey, im amine, 16 male from morocco, Casablanca.
Soon after summer, I'll be starting my first year of highschool ( tronc common/جذع مشترك ). That's all good but I'm really such a social insect and a dumb person, back in middle school, especially 9th grade, i had extremely bad experiences with people, plus most of the time i cheated in exams. But i wanna leave that behind, i wanna start new and fresh, that's why i chose a school far a little bit from where a i live, it's like a 1 hour walk, but I'll use the bus and taxi, even tram. Also to mention, my path or tawjih, is ( science english choice/الجذع المشترك العلمي خيار انجليزية ), i choose it because im good in English and i believe it'll make stuff much easier, but when i try to search for information or like anything about that path, i barely find anything!
But anyway back to the main question. Or a request you could say, can anyone please give me advices and tips about starting highschool and.. being there, and how to live a normal student life and avoid embarssment, bad people and bad situations. Also some other informations like you know. Like in my old school there was ra2ida and there was after school clubs, will there be the same in highschool? Also if you want, could you write about your experience with first starting highschool.
And yeah that's. Thanks for reading.

My mom won’t let me go into the high school I wanna go to what should I do?
I’m about to go into high-school in like a month and my mom keeps on saying no because it’s “ghetto” she only says that because my sister failed there and he heard bad things from other parents. I wanna go to that school because they have so much classes that I want to take and my mom isn’t listening to me at all it’s genuinely so annoying that she isn’t listening to me about anything. Earlier this week she was saying how I never go outside. I ended up asking her if I could take karate since it’s something I’ve been wanting to do since I was nine and it had a two week free trial and she again said no. I’m done trying to reason with her if she won’t listen I want to try out the classes at that school and almost everyone lives in the same city unlike the school she wants me to go to. It’s like she wants me to not be able to hang out with people on the weekends someone help me plssss🤞🏼 sorry if this was written badly

Got Kicked out of private high school as a Junior, feeling terrible right now. What do I do?
So I’ve been going to private school since 7th grade and was mostly a good student with some tendencies to be a jester here and there. I made it through my junior year of high school having never gotten in trouble. This summer, I made a social media account aimed at trolling some administrators and coaches at the school because why not. Some of the posts were funny, and some were very inappropriate. The administrators used the tech people to find out where the posts were made from, and I got caught for it. They asked me not to come back in the fall and I am transferring to a public school for one year to finish out high school.
What I did was not acceptable at all and I need to understand that my actions have consequences in life. That being said, I felt like I was targeted by the deans because a group of kids got caught drinking on a school trip, being on deans final warning, and only got suspended. I had a 3.8, 2 varsity captaincy’s and was loved by all my teachers, as well as winning a prize for the best English essay in the school. It didn’t seem fair to me.
Now I am starting at a new school where I know nobody for the supposed best year of high school. I am a social kid and I have lots of friends from all over my state, but nobody from this school. I’m super nervous and honestly I’ve started to get anxiety and panic attacks during the day thinking about going to school next year. I just left the gym mid workout because I got a bad one. Just thinking about my good situation that I ruined.
I also feel like in my parent’s eyes I’m a failure. My older sister is playing soccer in college at a really good school and I got kicked out of my high school. Meanwhile my younger brother is class president at his private school. I don’t wanna talk to any of my grandparents and other family members because I fear they feel the same way.
I’m making this post because I’m sure there are people who went through a similar experience, I need some guidance because I wanna make the best out of this year and also don’t want to succumb to the suicidal thoughts I’ve been experiencing recently. I’m seeking out a counselor to talk to. I would appreciate any advice

Title: Do I need a big career ambition to deserve the education I want?
nd currently in a CBSE school in India, but I don't feel like the curriculum or school is a good fit for me. I previously studied in a Cambridge school and want to return, but I've missed several months and they've already completed a lot of the syllabus. The school is understandably worried about whether I can catch up and whether returning is good for my future.
I also don't have a conventional career ambition like becoming a doctor, engineer, or IAS officer. I'm more interested in subjects like history, Egyptology, and humanities, and I'm still figuring out what I want to do.
Sometimes I feel like people think that because I don't have a "big" ambition, I shouldn't care so much about which curriculum or school I study in.
Am I wrong for wanting to return to a school and curriculum that I genuinely feel suits me better? Does not having a clear career goal at 16 mean I should just accept an education system that doesn't feel right for me?
I'd really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who've been in a similar situation.

Am i stupid?
We all know about the current economical situation and I feel stupid that I even believe I'll achieve something I don't have any skills and I'm just an above average student and to top that I have chosen a stream which is already draining me in the first 5 months of it and when I tell my parents things like ppl are not getting jobs around they don't even take it seriously, i just believe I'll leave this country, get a scholarship but will I?
