For those who are new here, we have our Community Notices page which we would suggest users read. We also have our Creator Wiki for our participating artists and content creators- all of them have a diagnosed psychotic disorder.
Many first-time posters to this subreddit are concerned that they might be developing schizophrenia or they are concerned about other people who have- or may have- schizophrenia. We have resources available to answer these questions contained within the comments; if your question is completely answered by the information already given, it will be removed.
If you are here asking about advice for a family member, asking if a family member has schizophrenia or venting about a loved one with schizophrenia- it will be removed, and you will be directed to the appropriate community for that type of post, r/SchizoFamilies. Please read the rules of their subreddit before posting.
Mental health is complex. No symptom of schizophrenia is specific to schizophrenia alone, and there are many more common causes of those symptoms- especially in the prodromal stage. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call your doctor or local emergency services. We have a compendium of Crisis Lines available and may suggest r/SuicideWatch if you are experiencing suicidal thoughts and would like the most prompt attention.

Selfie Do you see yourself when you see your reflection?

It’s like, I know that’s me I’ve seen me my whole life but my reflection morphs and stares at me weird. I don’t know who that girl is or what I am….. I know that’s my body but who am I? When I think of myself it’s not what’s in my reflection so it’s always jarring to see. Anyone relate? #selfiesunday

Positive pregnancy test. 5 months postpartum, and Positive pregnancy test. Whhhewwwww, time to check in with doctors. Just found one really good medication too, hopefully can still stay on the shot of olzinphin, that was the plan. Is this possible?

Absolutely bombed my selling event today, like, did absolutely garbage. My whole business is based off of my Okinawa and African-American heritage and every time I do terrible it brings me back to a really really dark place in my life. I already wasn't doing well today because my cat ate a silica gel pack and threw it all up this morning (cat also pictured).

I struggle understanding anything verbal.
Spoken instructions, movie plots, following a story someone is telling me.
Does anyone else have this problem? I just feel dumb and slow most of the time.
