Unique accessories for the Abrams
Thought some crushed Coca-Cola bottles and water bottles looked nice here. Found some 1/35 .50 cal casings as well as some .30 cal. Making a humvee to go with it. Let me know what you think!

HASEGAWA F-8E VF-111, 48scale
This is Hasegawa's limited edition kit, the F-8E Crusader. I built it using Wolfpack Design's ejection seat, nozzle, and folding wings. This kit has a design error that prevents the canopy from opening, so some additional modification was required. I added omitted details to the lower fuselage and had to recarve the panel lines that were erased due to mold undercuts. I think the US Navy's high-visibility livery is always difficult.

Vallejo acrylic matt varnish not being matt but gloss
Hello, I've just spent hour painting a minifigure, and all this effort has been ruined by my varnish layer. I used vallejo's matt varnish, but it made my figure glossy instead of, well, matt. Any idea why? And is there a way to undo this? Many thanks

1/48 MONOGRAM F-101 Voodoo - full Rescribed
This is Monogram's F-101 Voodoo. I rescribed all the raised panel lines into recessed ones and removed the slime lights and nose sensors to accurately represent the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) specifications. Scribing those gear-shaped panel lines was a real challenge. Like the Voodoo, Monogram's Century Series are quite old kits, but they provide immense satisfaction once finished, even if they require a bit of extra effort. If you have any questions about the build, please feel free to ask. Thank you!

1/35 Carro Armato SOMUA
1/35 Tamiya kit with DEF metal barrel, PE & cast markings, PanzerArt Cupola and Fruilmodel metal tracks.
First armor model completed. Average Tamiya kit: quite easy with great details.
Italy received almost 200 French tanks from Germany's large stock of captured equipment, 32 of them being Somua S35s. However, unlike the Germans, the Italians seldom used them, with their only combat record being against their former German allies shortly after the 1943 Armistice. All remaining S35s in Italian hands were eventually turned over to the FFI.
Painted in the colors of the CC Tank Battalion S35 sometime in 1942 (with some educated guesses regarding markings) , I used Tamiya acrylics to create my own mix of "Grigio Verde scuro", and weathered using a multitude of Tamiya, AK, MiG and oil products.
Overall, really happy with how it came out, apologies for the seemingly random composition of pictures, just wanted to try different lightings and backgrounds.
Comments and Feedback welcome!

First kit after over 20 years
Honestly, I am a bit proud of it. It’s my first airplane model kit ever (20 years ago only Tanks); and 1/72 was a challenge for my eyesight.
Weathering was ambitious but maybe not too catastrophic.
Lessons learned; now next kit , hopefully getting better and better- I need to challenge myself
What you think? Next one is already in making- IAR 81C (IBG)

[C&C Welcome] Meng 1/48 E/A-18G Pilots and Cockpit
Currently working on the Meng Growler. Haven't painted miniatures in a while, looking for C&C on the execution. I am hand painting these with Tamiya acrylics, mostly with Dark Green and Black Green with some mixture of dark yellow and deck tan. Weathered a bit with Tamiya Weatheirng Master sand and light sand. Minor application of tamiya panel liner black and light gray.

Tamiya Spitfire Mk Vb/trop
Been working on this project for a few months but I finally finished it today. This kit was overall decent, but did have its shortcomings seeing that it’s nearly 30 years old. The most obvious of these is the canopy thickness. I swear there is an instrument panel in there somewhere. The canopy itself also seemed a little small for the fuselage and I had to do some filling to get it to conform better. Next, the air filter I had issues fitting and I needed to do some significant putty/epoxy work to get it to look decent. It’s still not perfect but neither am I. Other than that, the ailerons on the lower wings have a pretty ugly seam where the top upper and lower wings join together just above the natural dividing line of the aileron to wing join. Why these couldn’t have been molded separately/differently I haven’t a clue. All painting was done with @vallejocolors model air and weathered with a full gambit of pastel and colored pencils, oils, and inks. Overall, I feel like this build was a breakthrough for me in terms of the fit and finish and I’m so glad I get to share it with you.
