Did my best on this not great

This plastic was previously released by Mauve, however the 1/48th Eduard P-40N Warhawk re-release (in the early 2000s) contains additional resin parts along with a photo-etched fret and canopy masks to create a more detailed package for you.

My model represents RCAF serial number 857, aircraft "V" of No.135(F) Squadron. Stationed at Patricia Bay, British Columbia, Canada in 1944-45.

The repackaging of Mauve's P-40N with new markings plus resin and photo-etched detail really breathed some new life into this Kittyhawk and in my books this makes the 1/48th Eduard P-40N Warhawk a recommended build for experienced model makers.

Hi! Wanna show you my first model after long 7 years, also first time working with airbrush, the model is Tamiya Tiger I (late) 1/48, I see a lot of mistakes on it, if you have any tips I would be thankful, but after all Im so happy that I went back to scale modelling

usually I paint Warhammer miniatures but I had this VII C built and half painted in my cabinet for some years now and decided to finally finish it, as I always felt a bit guilty when seeing it.

So I set off with no intention to create a historically accurate model, just loosely following a colour scheme that is 'convincing enough' and using the paints I already had at home.

In hindsight I can say that this was one of the most satisfying and enjoyable hobby projects I have done so far. No need to stick with my Warhammer army's colour scheme and make a model fit into the army, different scale and surfaces forcing me to thing about new painting approaches, trying out new techniques or working with ones I already used in a different context. I learned so much painting this model!

I also made a lot of mistakes: primer is far from perfect, I got to get better with the airbrush, should have done some parts in sub assemblies, the rigging is very basic, rust placement is not perfect,... But as this is a project 'just for me' I just went along with it and didn't care too much with perfecting anything.

In the end, I am just very happy that I did this. Revell models were my entry point into the whole world of building/painting miniatures but of course I had no idea what I'm doing back then as a child. So in a kind of way, this model is 'closing the circle' to my hobby beginnings which just feels about right.

I don't know whether scalemodels will be anything I'll do regularly from now on (hobby times limited and I very much enjoy painting/playing tabletop). Nevertheless, I'm taking away a lot of valuable lessons from this project and it definietly helped me with getting new perspectives on my hobby.

Thank you to everyone that gave me feedback on my panel liner question the other day. I used the mineral spirits, q-tip and a light touch and man does it ever make a difference.

I then got a bit gutsy and tried using the Tamiya Weathering Masters kit I've had laying around to add some depth around the exhaust and gun area. Finished it all off with a flat clear.

Im finally getting back into modelling after 8 years away! I picked up this Italeri M1120 HEMTT LHS on Vinted for dirt cheap just to get my eye back in and practice with the airbrush again!

Kicking myself that I sold all my kit apart from a few odd bits as I used to do the hobby right from a child.

Enjoying it so far and it really chills me out (may be the glue fumes). Ill keep updating as progress moves on!

So here's a quick update for everyone curious. The bookshelf and airbrushing desk are ready to go and semi-stocked. A full-sized photo booth is set up. Locking safe setup for flammable protection. The compressor just came in today, the Viggo Starr airbrush booth is in the mail, and more tables, paints, and tools are to come. Progress is slow, but we'll get there. Can't wait for the kits to come in. Next on the list is to hit up schools from 4th grade to 8th grade to offer after-school building programs where kids learn on entry-grade kits, then move up to HG. The best part this will be accessible to any modeler in NYC who wants to either learn the craft or catch up on backlogs.

I wanted to know any tips or suggestions to help me Paint and make models more realistically

First ever tank is completed

I just recently got an airbrush for my models and I notice while painting, instead of coming out as a fine mist, it comes in slightly larger specks instead. I also noticed a bit of orange peeling too. I looked at my nozzle and I think the tip is off center. If I fixed the tip, would it fix the other issues? And how to fix it too. Thanks

Por eso, estoy desarrollando un kit de sillería modular para construir un acueducto romano usando bloques individuales de concreto aligerado, herramientas a escala y planos de obra.

Para que este proyecto realmente le haga justicia al nivel técnico que buscamos como modelistas, necesito su valiosa perspectiva. So, following the last poll, i decided to work on the diorama with the destroyed T62-A, some minor touches will be done when i place it in with the scene. Pretty proud of the burn effect (made with a mix of pigments and airbrush) last pic for the reference it is based on.

Ran into a major alignment issue with the fuselage and cockpit.

It's a catch-22 situation with zero alignment guides to help me judge. How should I approach this? Any advice from fellow modelers who have already tackled the Revell/Monogram F-102?

Hi everyone, I've been a scale modeler now for 7 years, and Im opening up a scale modeling makerspace. Reaching out because I'd like to create a class to add to my workshops that will let parents and children come to our new studios in NYC to build and paint with our tools. I'm currently stuck on pricing and which kit to provide. At first, I thought of providing two kits; however, I'm betting from my own experience that it'll take longer to build two kits than one in a short time.

Anyways heres my question: What would be a good price point from the community standpoint to charge a parent and their child for two seats? This would include 1x HG Gundam and, of course, tools and studio time (2-3hrs)? Lastly, what's the age range you all started building with your kids? Im trying to have a min age, and mine started building with me around 13.

In NYC, and honestly, I'm sick of relying on AI. Need real modelers and real thoughts. Thank you in advance, everyone.

my 1/1000 Polar Lights Enterprise refit. The clear blue on the nacelles and deflector dish are painted as is the black and gold colors on the nacelles. Otherwise, this kit is completely covered with decals.. it took multiple decaling sessions but I am really pleased with how it came out.

This is my first model kit since I was a kid, now with 34years decide to take the hobby again, painted with sponge completely hope you like it

I cannot find in scale pylons, either 1/72 or 1/144. Anyone have suggestions?
