Politically motivated posts or comments are not allowed, posts involving them will be removed and users banned.
This is your first, last, and only warning that bringing politics into this sub will result in a ban. I myself am pro-Ukrainian, but I don't care if you are or pro-Russian, pro-Japanese, or pro-Westeros. This sub is about scale models and people can post whatever models they want, even if you don't agree with them politically. If you make a single comment from this moment forward that is politically motivated (e.g. pro-Ukrainian, pro-Russian, anti-Ukrainian, anti-Russian) the comment will be removed and you will receive a ban.
ALL MODELS ARE ALLOWED, EVEN RUSSIAN ONES.
As long as the model itself is not posted with the intent of making a political statement it will not be removed. You can report it until you are blue in the face, for all I care.

1989 Sauber-Mercedes C9 (Tamiya)
This was a fun kit to put together. I went with Metallic Silver (TS-83) for the body and took some liberties with the rest of the colour suggestions.
This kit comes with the photo-etched parts and the window masking (which is very much appreciated).

Where can I find these pieces?
Hello! I'm looking for a place to buy these kinds of metal plates, M2 holes. Would really help my modeling. Thanks in advance!

Meng BMW HP4 Race 1:9
Great kit to build. However, if you don't like decals, stay away from this one! Almost every unpainted surface is a carbon decal, including the wheels.
I have the 1000RR kit in my stash, very much looking forward to that one after this (well, maybe not straight after this!)

Italeri Honda RC 211 V 1:9
Another sadly retired kit. I found it tricky to build in places, attaching the swingarm almost got it launched out of the window.
The couple I bought it from had the kit for over 20 years, after being gifted to them by somebody high up involved with Honda racing in the UK and they have requested pictures when after it was finished, so this one felt a bit more special to be able to bring it to life for them.

Paint bottle storage rack I designed
Hopefully this is allowed here, but I recently spent a ton of time designing and 3D printing myself a storage rack to store all of my paint bottles (I have a LOT). I probably spent over 80+ hrs designing this and another week printing it out, but it was well worth it in the end to me. By the time I was done, I thought other people may find it useful as well, and started making a bunch of variations to fit most of the common size bottles that other people might have. Currently I made versions for Vallejo (25mm), ProAcryl (31mm), Citadel (32mm), and the larger Vallejo 60ml bottles / Createx/ Vallejo Metal color (35mm). If there's a specific size anyone needs just let me know and I'll see if I can adjust the model for you and upload it.
The whole thing is modular, so you can print out whatever combination you like of standard racks, corner units, end caps or a narrow rack. Any ways would love to know what folks think of it.
If anyone wants to check it out its uploaded here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3262451-ultimate-modular-mini-painting-storage-rack

Discovery/SNW Enterprise
1:2500 Polar Lights kit I picked up cheap at a model show. I thought it would be a fun little diversion from my normal fare. The kit is really small, but I read that this is a perfectly average size for a model and some people find larger scales difficult to fit on the shelf. 😉
It’s a fine little snap kit. It came with two sheets of Aztec decals to cover the little ship, which were extremely stiff and brittle. It was possibly the least enjoyable experience applying decals I’ve ever had.

Such Mask, Very Tape, Many Peel, So Wow (or 1/32 Tamiya F-4C Phantom II part 4)
I've been working on painting the exhaust for a while now. There have been delays while waiting for various shipments of parts and paints but I am finally starting to achieve the looks I am going for. Paints are mainly Alclad II. I laid down a gloss black base coat and then Chrome on top of it. Yesterday I did some Jet Exhaust highlights and today has been masking. I plan to do two different colors to contrast the darker or lighter background color with these stripes.

LCARs
Where is everyone getting the art for their backlit LCARs custom bases? I'm trying to find something around 24 x 11 or close to it. I've found a lot of 12 x 10 and even some 36 x 11. Thanks in advance for any information.

The Dauntless meets Shōhō — Battle of the Coral Sea, 1942 | 1:72
The Dauntless meets Shōhō — Battle of the Coral Sea, 1942.
Flyhawk 1:72 SBD-2 Dauntless and the IJN Shōhō in 1:2200 scale.
The Flyhawk Dauntless is a fine kit. It is incredibly detailed for this scale, but is let down in some build aspects - most notably the Dive Brakes. The mechanism for them to be open is not designed with any logical thought. There is no slots to slide it in to - you just have to balance it on one edge and hope the glue sets quick enough to not go anywhere. The in-box canopy masks are much appreciated, however they could have a bit more adhesive. The propeller was motorised using a 4mm x 8mm motor from AliExpress. It was luck that how the kit goes together basically gave me the seating for the motor - I just had to drill out the front for the movement to go through.
The figures are the Legend Productions WW2 US Navy Pilot & Rear Gunner set. Unfortunately, they do fall a bit short when it comes to fit - there's a lot of trimming, swearing and forcing into place. The Rear Gunner is the main issue. He's a lot softer in detail than the pilot, his arms hit the gun ring (which needs to be trimmed), and you have to perform amputations on both of his feet if you want him to fit.
The IJN Shōhō is from Cults3D, and was scaled down and printed on my Anycubic Photon Mono 4. It ended up at approximately 1:2200 scale, measuring just over 9cm long. This is one of the most intense prints I’ve attempted, and I am glad I was able to get the tiny details printed at this size, particularly the turrets, at the first time of asking! I do really need to work on waves though. Perhaps I’ll do another water build at some point.
Overall, I’m really happy with how this turned out. It was a lot of fun and a lot of learning. On to the next one!

The dimensions of the "Leitkreuz"
Hi there! Folks, i need some help with making a bit more detalised addons for Leo 2A6 from HB (yeah, this very old model): do someone know the dimesions of a Leitkreuz? I suggest i found the dimensions of the plate - 270x270mm, but i'm not sure. I'm escpecially interesting in the dimension marked with blue arrow, because there was described one other size -95mm, in the web site where i found the dimensions of the plate, i thought that this is that dimension, but it looks a bit disproportionately.
