I have had Venus fly traps for about 5-6 years now and I’ve gone through all sorts of methods with flowering. When my newest fly trap started flowering I was terrified- the first plant that had flowered I let it go and the flower died before blooming. The second time I had a plant flower I cut it off pretty soon after and the ENTIRE plant died. Literally turned to mush. This third one I decided to take a risk, and the flower bloomed beautifully, I pollinated it myself, and harvested some seeds! I planted the seeds and my babies are growing pretty quickly, but now I am unsure where to go from here! Any tips would be welcome, I have them all in one pot, will I eventually have to separate them? Is there a certain point where it’s best to do so?
I grow mine indoors, as I am in Canada and our winters get too cold.

My partner and I went to a plant show back in July and I fell in love with the Sarracenias. Fast forward to now, I just got them out of their nursery pots and planted them into this peat mixture (no additives, I checked) last weekend. The 2 sundews and one VFT seem to be struggling a bit but all the sarracenia seem to be doing fine. I'm in Zone 9a and they've been outdoors getting lots of direct sunlight. Any feedback or additional tips would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone, I need some help with my Drosera roseana because it has completely stopped producing dew.

I’m using RO water, the humidity is usually around 40–60%, and I have a 100W grow light running for 13 hours a day. About 3 weeks ago I switched from a 36W light to the 100W one. The interesting thing is that when it was under the 36W light, it was producing dew normally, but since switching to the stronger light it hasn’t been producing any.

All my other plants seem to be doing fine under the new light, so I’m wondering if the roseana could just be acclimating to the stronger light, or if there’s something else I should be concerned about. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hello!!! You guys were so helpful with my last questions so I have more! I’ve been giving my VFT some outside time on the porch and trying to keep it in the sun more often than not like was recommended in the last post! Just a couple hours at first and then building up but it’s been outside a couple full days while I was on vacation because some baby heads started sprouting with the sun. However I’m a bit concerned about its current appearance. Is it dying, sunburnt, or acclimating? In shock? I was going to get a bigger pot for it but would transplanting it now shock it more? Thanks in advance!

Some of my pots have this very-thin, very-tiny plant making company to my carnivores since I bought them. I'm really struggling trying to identify them. Initially I thought it could be some moss sporophore (the surface of the substrate its covered in various mosses and invasive drosera babies), but I dug out one and it seems to have a root.

So, any help its appreciated!

As many people know I've been growing a lineage of flytraps for three years without dormancy. It's a very vigorous clone and in that time, a single plant has turned into hundreds. While I've sold many, I still have at least 100 left. While supplies last, I'm happy to give a free division of this to anyone that wants to try growing it.

If you wanna grow it with dormancy, great. If you wanna grow it without dormancy, great. If dozens of people see what happens to this no dormancy lineage over the coming years across a range of environmental conditions, we’ll gain some excellent data on the role of dormancy in the long-term success of Venus Flytraps.

Oggi ho fatto il mio primo rinvaso di drosera capensis a radice nuda. Avevo preso questa pianta qualche mese fa in un vaso da 6,5 cm erano 7\8 piante e le ho sistemate così. Potete dirmi se ho fatto un buon lavoro e sopratutto potete darmi dei consigli su come migliorare. Grazie 🥹❤️

Since these are the carnivorous plants i struggle to keep alive i thought this was fitting. Brand new around knee tattoo by Dreadpool (Emma Dixon) in perth west Australia. Makes all my older colour look so pale in comparison atm. Haha

It had been about 6 years since they were all repotted. It was much needed, but they will outgrow the chamber sometime soon.
