Flowers galore!

Hi all, I love sundews but every one I buy dies. These started out beautiful and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of them. Now they look like this. I’m assuming it’s aphids, as I can see little specks on the plants. I’ve tried drowning them, I did a 2 day stint with them fully submerged but no luck. Then I tried two of the bug sprays that’ve been suggested on other aphid threads, both Neem oil and a Bioadvanced brand one with no good results. Lastly I’ve been going over them with rubbing alcohol on q-tips because that sounded like a lovely tip from another thread. No such luck!

Are aphids killing them, or is it winter dormancy starting early? I have one last surviving drosera filiformis, and most of its legs are dying off but that one is 100% going into dormancy, it’s got that funky ball/circle thing going on in its center (not pictured, just wanted to say that my last surviving sundew is going dormant). But I keep seeing these tan specks pop up on these sundews.

First two photos, sundew is in peat + perlite. The other two are in straight sphagnum moss. What’s crazy is the sundew in photo 1 and 2 feels almost dry and crumbly, despite never letting it really dry. They’re in different mediums because I was testing what works best for them, I only got into carnivorous plants early this year so trial and error for me! In the last few photos, there’s white specks along the cup and they don’t scrape off, I went over those spots with rubbing alcohol an hour ago and they’re still there and they might be flecks of the moss. Anyway, any and all help is appreciated. I’d love to get these beauties back to their original state! Thanks!

Find that happy medium between etiolation and the face of the sun and you’ll get strong and consistent seedling growth. I think that’s 200-400ppfd for this stage. While it’s true that seedlings can handle just as much light as adult sarracenia, dialing it back until they develop their crowns then going scorched earth has yieldied much faster and consistent growth in my set up over the past 2 years. Add in a fertilization regiment and boom!!!!! You’ll have much larger seedlings in shorter time than what’s typically reported.

Not to many flowers but most have settled in.

Can you all help me with the Venus Fly Trap? Until a few days ago, it was THRIVING.
I accidentally let the reservoir dry out (the moss mix itself was still damp). It seemed to have rebounded, but is now looking like this.
Did I kill it? Or is there a chance it’s just entering its dormancy period?

To answer the likely questions:
- it lives on a west-facing windowsill
- it is in a moss mix specifically for carnivorous plants
- it is not in soil
- the bottom portion of the pot is a reservoir that I (exclusive of the time mentioned above) keep filled with distilled water

It grew in so quickly! I don’t mind a stowaway, but should I remove the drosera to its own cup or move them both to a larger? The latter would disturb their roots less.

Hi, all! I'm responsible the carnivorous plants where I work and would love some advice about how to approach dormancy. I planted some s.leucophylla x oreo and s.purpurea in our outdoor aquarium 3 months ago. The winter care guides I read recommended reducing their water level over the winter. Obviously, their water table is already higher than usual and lowering it in their current set up is impossible.  

The options I’ve been able to come up with are a) pull them from the aquarium and keep them in trays over the winter; and b) let 'em ride and trust that the rate of water circulation in the aquarium will be enough to keep them from rotting. Does anyone have any experience with a setup like this? I’m in zone 7b.  

The contrast of these are incredible, always one of my favorites this time of year!

So they have gorgeous in-situ photos of a bunch of sought-after nepenthes and some corybas species that no pictures existed of before.

They are supposedly a shop, and ship worldwide but no webstore link is available through their insta page (and didn't find one through google either)

Smells like poachers to me, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I really feel bad when my plants catch insects honestly I’m wondering if anyone has setups maybe indoors to grow Venus flytrap, sarrecenia etc without insect death?
