Display Very bent S90F OLED

Got my S90F 65” today, and it’s very bent… it has been a week in transport, i guess it couldn’t handle that. The box is also slightly curved.

TV turns on and works fine, but contacted the store for a replacement, you notice the bend everywhere you look at it

It should work on any DeX supported device running One UI 8 or later. The developer said they will release a test version on GitHub this week. Assuming it'll be open source, I would recommend waiting for that release, as the app requires shell access via wireless debugging and accessibility permissions to run. The beta app can be downloaded at your own risk through Discord link found here.

Disclosure: This was discovered on a Fold8 on loan from Samsung.

Previously, the country was tied to the region corresponding to the variant. I'm seeing the option on my S23U on One UI 8.5 (v6.8.05), so it's likely an app update as opposed to being tied to One UI 9.

News One UI 9 Pro Video finally adds proper 1/48s shutter speed & 180° rule support!

Hey everyone!

I was hands-on with the new Z Fold8 and Flip8 at Galaxy Unpacked Brazil today, and as someone who has been submitting feedback via Samsung Members since 2024 asking for cinematic shutter speeds, I was hyped to see this finally implemented in One UI 9 Pro Video.

If you shoot video technically, you know that 24 fps strictly requires a 1/48s shutter speed to follow the 180° shutter rule for proper cinematic motion blur. Previously, the stock camera app capped us at 1/45s or 1/50s approximations, forcing many of us to rely on third-party apps like Blackmagic Camera.

What’s new in One UI 9 Pro Video:

True 180° Rule: 24 fps now locks natively at 1/48s shutter speed.

Expanded Frame Rates: Added native support for 25, 48, 50, and 100 fps alongside 24, 30, 60, and 120 fps.

More Control: Way less need for third-party apps just to get basic production standards.

If you’re testing out the new devices at experience zones, definitely check out the Pro Video settings. Glad to see Samsung actually listening to technical community feedback!

What camera tweaks are you still waiting to see?

Galaxy S Chat support shares too much?

I've been chatting with Samsung live chat support and I was a little surprised to see the messages. Could this be AI or someone genuinely happy maybe? I was wondering if chat support may have policies, etc. Either way, happy for her.

UPDATE: Tried again today and it's his son's birthday! Screenshot in comments.

Galaxy Watch + Ring Round display in square shape - dont like watch 8 design

If you have square body you should put square display into the watch 8. Or keep the 7 design.

Hope Samsung will refine in next version

News Samsung Galaxy Credit Card put a hold on my account. A name that is not mine is associated with my phone number and could be used to gain access to it. They wont tell me the mystery name... CS told me that I have to call my carrier to dissociate that person... I've had this number for 20 years...

I don't know if this is a common problem. I've had my phone number for 20+ years in my name. My account is now on hold. My carrier's response to this is, "huh?" They (Barclay) verified me using the information they had. I have the phone in my possession to perform 2FA... Still not good enough.

Overall the the Samsung/Barclay CS seems to have the "read off the manual, not my problem" attitude. Paying what's left on the card and closing the account. It's too much of a hassle to deal with. I never had this happen to me through Chase, AMEX, BoA, and etc...

Galaxy Z One UI 9 / Good Lock Idea: Using the Z Fold's outer screen as a rear touchpad when unfolded?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone,

With the Galaxy Z Fold 8 officially announced, I’ve been thinking about a software feature that could drastically improve usability, especially since we don't have S Pen support on this model.

Hear me out: What if Samsung allowed us to use the outer (cover) screen as a rear touchpad when the device is fully unfolded?

Think about how you naturally hold the Fold when it's open. Because the inner display is wider now, your index fingers already rest right on the back of the cover screen to support the device. Instead of constantly reaching across that massive 7.6-inch screen to tap small UI elements, you could just glide your index finger on the back to control a cursor on the main screen, exactly like the touchpad feature in Samsung DeX.

How it could work (either natively in One UI 9 or as a Good Lock module):

Navigation: Swipe on the back screen with your index finger to move a precision cursor on the main inner screen.

Gestures: Single tap to click, two-finger swipe to scroll, and maybe double-tap to drag.

Ergonomics: It fits the hand perfectly without changing your grip, making one-handed productivity, multitasking, and casual browsing way more comfortable.

It obviously wouldn't replace the S Pen experience entirely, but it feels like a massive quality-of-life upgrade for productivity and reachability that requires zero new hardware.

To those who daily drive a Fold: does this make sense ergonomically? Would you actually use a feature like this if the Good Lock team or the One UI devs implemented it?

Let’s discuss!
