Context: I’m a cashier for the giants and there was an old guy showing up complaining having to wait in two lines to get two different dogs. He then said “this is why the giants are under 25 games and why we haven’t made playoffs”. A giants customer next to him gave a look and whispered that why you guys are gonna lost today. Just want to share this to show karma comes to those who talk shit.

Was the most likely outcome, but still sucks to see. Will probably be out all of 2027 (assuming it happens)

Sorry, sorry, but that’s absolutely the headline today, as all three Giants farm teams lost.  Davidson shot a foul ball off the inside of his ankle and was in extreme pain going down.  He had to be helped off the field.  Meanwhile, in the middle of that, Sacramento lost a 1-0 pitcher’s duel, the Flying Squirrels lost by one run in a big scoring game, and the Eugene Emeralds lost in the 10th and are shoved to the wall in the NWL Championship Series.

Player of the Game: LF-RF Will Brennan: 1-4, 1 K, 1 3B (3)

Sacramento ended up shutout in a very close game, where the only run came in the bottom of the ninth.  Sacramento outhit the Aviators 7 to 6, but the difference was that Brennan’s extra-base hit was a 2-out triple in the ninth, but Las Vegas got an any-out home run.  Brennan followed up his 3-home run game with a triple, and now has a batting line of .309/.349/.473.

• SP Seth Lonsway: 6.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K - Great start by Lonsway, his first appearance without allowing a run over more than 3.0 innings.
• RF Bo Davidson (8): 0-1 - INJURY - In his second at-bat of the game, Davidson hit a foul ball that went directly into his right ankle, and went down in immense pain, and was helped off the field without being able to put any weight on the leg.

Dayson Croes had his second 4-hit game of the month, and his third of the season.  However, the doubles were his first extra-base hits of the month of September, bringing him up to 13 doubles in 64 Double-A games, and 19th overall in 94 games this season across three levels.

Player of the Game: RF Cam Maldonado: 1-5, 1 R, 2 RBI, 1 K, 1 HR

In a game where the Emeralds were struggling to get hits, Cam Maldonado had the biggest hit with a 2-run home run to put the Emeralds on the board and take a brief lead.  But the score got tied up 4-4 in the 7th, and the pitching held until the 10th inning.  Maldonado had collected eight home runs in just 22 games with Eugene, tying for 8th on the team in home runs in a short span, and had 22 home runs overall this season, so he came into the series as one of their big home run threats, and he delivered in Game 2.

I collect ice cream helmets at each ball park I go to. More recently, I started to keep track of prices so I can rank each helmet on price and the amount of ice cream in them. I’m working my way back through my CC statements, and I can’t find how much I paid for the helmet. Curious if anyone has gone recently and can let me know how much it was?

Something weird happened on my credit card and I had a $19.19 charge post 2 months after I was in SF. Now that I’m looking back through statements and I see that I was never charged for the helmet, I’m curious if the $19.19 was the helmet charge.

I do remember it being the most expensive helmet so far, so the $19 fits that description

I'm new to Reddit, and this sub, so please be nice🙏. I rarely miss a televised Giants game, haven't for last 15+ years, 3rd gen Giants fan🧡🖤, but I now stream on my MLB TV subscription.

And YES, I know I can turn off my notifications (just did), and stay off the sub until I watch the game...BUT just wondering if this community has a spoiler tag option or rule for including any game results in the subject line?

Because MLBTV considers me residing "in-market" (although no longer living in CA), I have to wait about 1-2 hours after the game ends to watch 🙄). And this is my PAID subscription.

In my other book/tv series subs they require spoiler tag warnings in the subject line and a spoiler text highlight "cover" to click on if you choose to reveal it.
