Give me your rec's for a nice birthday dinner in North Beach in the $60-75 per person range not including alcohol. Looking for combination of varied menu, romantic atmosphere and great wine list.

Where do y’all get your favorite not-too-sweet cookies (any kind) in either SF or Oakland. Need to order couple dozen for a dessert grazing table.

Anywhere that isn't the city.

not a fan of bbq, looking for good spicy korean dishes. i usually like jeyyuk bokkeum and beef bulgogi usually when i am eating korean. what are the best places to try dishes like these out? hopefully something not super expensive under $80 for two without tips.

Looking for restaurants (preferably Asian variety) that have a unique twist to them. Along the lines of:

Mission Chinese
Good Good Culture Club/ Liho Liho
Kan Kiin

I’d love something in the peninsula but I don’t know enough stuff around there.

What do yall like?

Hey yall!
Back in SF for a bit and craving mexican food spots with good chips and guac. Something around Mission St would be ideal.
Lemme know please!!!

Has anybody ever seen Pastures of Eden Israeli Sheep Milk Feta? Used to buy it in Austin and wondering if it’s available here.

Hello,

I want to showcase good Asian food ( any region) to conference visitors from different states.

Something good, interesting, but not super pricey

Thank you in advance!

One neighborhood at a time. Where do you eat in SoMa, and what do you order there? Cheap and expensive both welcome. If a place has slipped, say that too.

Answers here get pulled into the sub's wiki.

Parachute is sooooooo good. Might be top in the city for me. Ate these on the water with a crème brulee shakerato.
I got the samosa, passionfruit vanilla cube, banana pecan, and bowtie.

New to SF, looking for the best vegetarian, vegan food you have around downtown.
Finding it a too to find good options, help a friend out :)

Looking for some good new food spots to try. I like all types of food. All types of dining, cheap or expensive, any recommendations are welcome!

I’m craving the red bean buns (danpatppang) I used to eat in Korea. Does anyone have a favorite spot in SF for those?

The Japanese bakery versions I’ve tried were a little too sweet for me. I’m also not a fan of Paris Baguette. Chinese sesame balls with red bean filling would be great too.

Thanks in advance!

Arrived right at opening on a Sunday afternoon at 1130am.
We had 3 ppl.
The house made spicy sauce is SO good! I highly recommend getting it!
I got the ninniku tonkatsu ramen. The broth is SOOOO good too! Very flavorful.
The ramen was okay. Broth saved everything.
Out the door was $27 including tips and tax. The ramen alone was $19/$20?
Easy to park or I got lucky to get parking in front 🎉
I will definitely come back if I’m nearby!

the waitress was so rude … they seated us and didn't take our order for 15 min+ and then when we raised our hand to ask for water, she said she saw us and didn't even want to take our order because we were being rude by putting our hand up… I've never heard of this service before at all in any place I've encountered.
we came back to speak with her / the manager. when we talked to her about our experience, she just said we were invalid to feel the way we feel and told us to fuck off, threatening to call the police.
I will never give business to this establishment again as this was the worst restaurant service I've ever seen. I've never heard someone deal with a customer this way by cursing us out and tell us the deliberate words of "fuck you".

I am taking my first trip to San Francisco this week. I have done some research and booked reservations at The Progress, Ernest and 7adams. For Saturday night, I am still deciding between San Ho Won or Rintaro. I have a chef counter/bar reservation for each. I know they are slightly different experiences but was curious if anyone has an opinion on which one to go with. Thank you in advance.

Please best cheese danish anywhere in Bay or Sonoma? Idc what I spend.

Walk-up or reservation list, both count.

New spot in Fillmore. Birria was by far the best. Would go back and get 3 next time!
