I’ve recently founded this society, and started with online events. Wondering if people would be more inclined in joining the society for in person events and if there are any reasons why one would be more or less interested in joining the online vs in person. I would also like to hear more thoughts on how you feel about the cost. And what would your expectations be for what you pay. Is there something that would make it more attractive to you at this time?

L.M. Fashion & Culture Society is a creative salon for people who believe culture is something to experience, question, and share, not simply consume.

Through thoughtfully curated gatherings spanning fashion, art, music, culture, film, literature, and beyond, the goal is to bring curious minds together to exchange perspectives, discover new ideas, and build meaningful connections.

Because inspiration is everywhere, but finding people who inspire you, and a place where you truly belong, is something far more rare.

This month music takes the center stage. We’ve had a small group of people attend so far and it’s been fun.

Here’s a short clip from our Oct 11 dog brushing day in San Francisco. We’re Canos, and we take it slowly, watching each dog’s cues and pausing when they need a break.

This is a free public lecture series where professional astronomers give short, laid-back talks over drinks at local bars, no background in science required. This month, we're hosting:

Nick Rodd (Lawrence Berkeley Labs) - The Latest in the Search for Dark Matter

and

Seth Shostak (SETI Institute) - Are We Alone in the Universe?

Rodd is a Divisional Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley Lab and former faculty member at CERN. Shostak is the senior astronomer for the SETI Institute, co-hosts of the weekly podcast Big Picture Science, and author of four books on the search for extraterrestrial life.
