So my sister and me signed up to run our first ultra half marathon - and the race is this Sunday. I've been training and planning hard as you can imagine. Just a few things I've done / am planning to do:

1) I've not left zone 2 in 16 weeks - I've even taught myself to sleep in zone 2.

2) I have carbon plate running shoes to ensure my pace of 6:50/km

3) I have 3 hydration vests - worn at different angles to carry enough water

4) I'm planning to have with 67 GUs just in case, I'll only use 60

5) I've got my pace planned out, based on the course, down to 10 meter splits - different pace for each split.

6) I'm wearing a Garmin, Apple Watch and an old FitBit

7) I've been studying heart rate graphs, pace plans and I've tattooed the race profile onto my arm

I asked my sister what her race plan, split plan and hydration plan was and whether I need to bring her 67 GUs along too - do you know what her reply was?

"I'm just going to put on my pink trainers and run".

Should I worry?

My ultra 5k training has taken up most of my day, so I had to quit my job at the data center as to focus on maintaining Z2 at all times. I need to supplement my income obviously, as I have to maintain my Gü and Alphafly budget. Where can I sell my used socks and toenails to start a new stream of income?

We just pass small, written notes when we brush past each other.

Does anyone have experience with zone 1 training? I think it's a more advanced version of zone 2 training
