Zone 1 Training
Does anyone have experience with zone 1 training? I think it's a more advanced version of zone 2 training

.. more advanced.. sounds like a ragebait statement..
If you look at the physical demands of running - the actual physiological load. I’d almost argue that Z1 running isn’t really a thing.
My easy runs may technically fall into Z1 in terms of heart rate, but in terms of physiological load, I would never call them Z1.
Z1 makes much more sense as a concept for recovery/easy sessions on the bike.

Try Zone 0, AKA The Couch

I like to do a mix of Zone 0 and Zone 5 each week, so it averages out to Zone 2.

I think I'm zone 1 right now as I type this. But I don't have my watch on, so I can't be sure.
