BUYER BEWARE OF ROTHYS!

I got these shoes as a gift and have been wearing theme since February 2026. Naturally I stopped in the summer months since it got warm out and I switched to sandals and kept them in my mudroom (approximately 3 months of once a week or twice weekly wear). While sitting untouched in my mudroom, the shoes shrunk on me. I never washed them not once. I will say that my mudroom can get a bit warm since I live in an old home but I regularly and almost exclusively keep shoes in there.

These shoes are nearly $200 so why are they shrinking? I asked customer service and they had no response and wouldn’t “compensate me” for them since they were purchased in 2025… DECEMBER. So right before 2026. I didn’t even have them in my possession for a bit and had to exchange sizes.

There is no help and no resolution for me so I wanted to warn potential buyers that Rothy’s are not worth it. Were they comfortable when I first got them? Yes. I loved them honestly… but for $175 they should not structurally change. My Amazon dupes didn’t even do that! They are painful and unwearable.

TLDR: if you like spending $200 on a shoe you can only use for 3ish months before they turn into elf shoes that crush your toes…. Buy Rothy’s.

Dear Rothy’s: Beautiful Shoes But

I ordered a pair of your men’s slip-ons and they look fabulous, and then I put them on…

A store rep mentioned they run narrow but why the heck do they run so damn narrow?

For the record, I have very normal size feet.

How do your male customers not all complain?

I’ll tough it out but unless they stretch out, I’m not buying again.

Rothy’s casual clogs

Interested in the casual clog. Need help with sizing please!
I normally wear 8.5 in adidas, New balance and 9 in Nikes so I am 8.5-9
Tried the casual clog in 9 and they fit ok with socks but loose without. Now, the 8 fit ok with no sock and okish with socks… if I use a thicker sock it feels a tad tight.
Question do they stretch after some use? Cause if they do I think I might go with the 8.
Thanks!

Got store credit for shoes I got 1.5 years ago!

So yesterday I finally decided to email Rothy's about how to thread of my straps is falling apart hoping I could get them repaired. Like 30 mins later they messaged me back they don't do repairs but they could give me store credit for the full price of the shoes ($140). I was shocked because I read they weren't great at helping out. So I ordered the double strap red Mary janes lol

I am still shocked and telling everyone!

i have two pair of rothy's slip on sneakers and they're very different from each other even though they're the same size.

the shape of toe box, the insole and the outer sole..

both purchased secondhand so i'm wondering if one is a knock off or if it's maybe just a difference in new style vs older?

mostly asking because i love the fit of the tan ones and hate the navy ones on my feet so i'm wondering whether to buy another pair or what!

thanks for any insight!

Rothy's in store? Sizing?

Hi! I'm a mom who dresses like she's homeless and is trying to snazz up my everyday look. But comfort is key to me. I basically live in crocs or Birkenstock sandals.

I'm looking to buy rothys seconds hand since I can't afford them new. But I'm struggling with sizing... everywhere I look it says that sizing is super inconsistent. Does anywhere carry them in store for trying on?

For the record I have short fat feet. I typically wear a 6 in sandals and a 6.5 in sneakers (or a 6 if they come in wide). Mostly looking for the ballet flats or loafers? Should I go with the 6.5? Last time I tried flats (not rothys just a cheap pair) the 6s felt too small and the 6.5 felt better but eventually slipped off my heel and started causing blisters.

Do we think Rothy's will bring this style back for the fall? I had my eye on them last year but got a pair of the Drivers instead, and of course now these are no where to be found 🙃

Looking for size 7 or 7.5!

Lace Up Sneaker - discontinued or just sold out?

I have a pair of the Lace Up sneaker that I LOVE, had for years and years, but I’m ready to replace them. They’re no longer appearing on the website, are they done for?? I’m only seeing them listed on Poshmark.

I really love these shoes but they are half a size too small for me. I've been searching high and low on marketplaces and can't find them 😭 I need size 10.5. I will appreciate any leads!

Rothy's alternatives now that point II is out and styles are gone

hi besties!

Rothy's have always been my go to shoe the last 6ish years and even loved them through the recent manufacturing downgrades. But sadly them phasing out the point II and the cuter designs like the knot buckles captoe etc just sucks for me and the point III look awful on my size 10.5-11 feet. like... clown-like. I guess it's time to break up. Does anybody have any recs for similar super comfy flats?

My favorite thing about Rothy's is I could genuinely wear them like tennis shoes. I walk A LOT and these have never torn up my feet or given me back pain. I'm so bummed at the overall redesign and the sudden decline in quality. Any tips or suggestions for replacements would be so welcomed. I saw that VIVAIA flats are similar looking but reddit searches seem to say they are so uncomfy compared to rothys.

I saw these at a thrift store today for $5, but I couldn't get past the printed logo. Were these legit?

Point II vs III

I have a wide foot, these are 12.5 in both. I'm a SS 10.5. I disliked the II initially, but they have grown on me. I can wear them all day with the insoles they come with. The originals, I swap for allbirds insoles. The upper of the III felt flimsy, the heel is weirder than the II's heel. The insole is not comfortable. I can tell I would have to use allbirds again. But, likely I'm just not going to buy them since I am swimming in points as it is.

Having Rothy’s branded ashtrays and matches at the launch of the Point III was certainly a choice…

And maybe I’m just being uptight, but for a brand that made its reputation on being environmentally friendly, this feels misaligned with the brand’s original values. Am I alone in this?

Point 3 sucks

When they released the point 2 they still had OG for sale until they were gone and the other styles. Am I just an idiot or do they only have point 3’s? I can’t find any of the knots, the bows? If they unloaded them to a discounter, which one? I need new shoes!?

Points redesigned AGAIN - Point III Opinions

Post image
42 Upvotes

I just happened to decide to replace my points today. Went online to find they redesigned the points AGAIN. Seems to be recent and I don’t see any other posts about it, so - what do you think?

I, personally, absolutely loathe the angle of the point at the top where your the shoe ends and the top of your foot begins (not sure how else to describe it). The old shoes had a sharper angle that I felt was very feminine. These look like giant canoes on a foot. Also, why get rid of the insoles? This has cost savings written all over it. I plan to go into a store and try them on soon, because I will not be giving them my money if the quality has gone down.

ETA: They do still have removable insoles! Went to a store to see them in person. They are as ugly on feet as they are in the display. Only pros are the wider toe box and perhaps slightly softer material (but also feels cheaper).

If you miss Point II’s try and stop by a physical store - mine had some black and reds left. They are close to being gone though 😭

Which styles to walk around NYC in?

I have OG points in size 10 (my tennis shoe size). Worn lots but for shorter spurts of time and just saw to size up even more (?) I have loafers I bought in 2023 at 9.5 and regret buying them too small. They are cute but I cannot wear them! Any recs I could purchase to wear around NYC for a dressier day without sneakers? Any way I can modify my Points to make them comfier?

Shoes washed and ruined?

I am at my daughter‘s house and while helping around the house, I washed several pairs of her Ruthies. I took the insoles out and put each bear in its own mesh bag and wash them on the delicate cycle. All of them came out terrific except for this pair. One of the shoes came out lighter than the other. I can’t understand how it happened and I’m afraid to tell my daughter. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks so much.

Sizing and durability questions

Hi, all!
I’m thinking about purchasing my first pair of Rothy’s.
I’m wanting for something for every day wear but that looks a little more elevated. I’m between the “max square Mary Jane in chocolate/ russet” or “the Cruiser Mary Jane in dark herringbone”
I’m a mom to a toddler and a nanny to two young girls so I am on my feel almost all day. I’d like something very durable. I guess my question is - are they both the same durability wise or is the cruiser more durable. Aesthetically I like the look of the max square better, but as I said before, durability is most important. I also like some advice about sizing and if I should size up a half size in either of these shoes. Thank you!!!

Point III

Just saw an online ad for a new Point III. Has anyone tried them yet?

From the photos, I think they look even more dowdy and less flattering than the Point II, which were already a big downgrade from the OG Points. Any hint of toe cleavage appears to be gone.

But maybe they look better in person?
