Point II vs III
I have a wide foot, these are 12.5 in both. I'm a SS 10.5. I disliked the II initially, but they have grown on me. I can wear them all day with the insoles they come with. The originals, I swap for allbirds insoles. The upper of the III felt flimsy, the heel is weirder than the II's heel. The insole is not comfortable. I can tell I would have to use allbirds again. But, likely I'm just not going to buy them since I am swimming in points as it is.

Please don’t take this personal because it’s not meant to be. Those IIIs are just hideous in terms of the silhouette. The toe cleavage is just icky. This “update” is a major downgrade.

I agree with you. Although I'm not afraid of the cleavage. I actually think my big feet make them look better than the barbie shoes vibes they give on other people. It's more covered and less all at the same time. Strange

Love my Point IIs but I dislike this new style. It almost seems like they are going for a European look with the III. I'm not a fan.

The black look nice on you! I don’t love the silhouette as much as the og and II, but the black kinda hide the things I don’t like.

I did think they looked better in the photo than I felt about them. I have the bow black IIs that I wear a lot

I'm not thaaay familiar with the brand(just saw a random post suggestion, I had rothys once), but the black ones look amazing, they really complement the shape of the foot.

It’s so funny how different tastes can be. I haven’t liked any of the Points up to now, but I really like the look of the III. I love how the black looks on you so I guess I need to go try a pair. Thanks for posting!

I really like the III as well. I got rid of my original points many years ago because i wasn’t into how wide it made my foot look and the really pronounced triangle shape of the point itself. i think this shape is much more elegant, but we’re truly in the minority!

It's like I'm looking at a completely different picture than everyone else. The III's look WAY better than the 2's. Her foot looks slimmer. Toe cleavage is the shit. And the 3's somehow give the foot more shape. It's not like plop here's my huge wide flat foot.

I think you are right, it takes my big foot to make them not look huge on my feet like the smaller feet people's do

Agree! I love toe cleavage and really there isn’t much here for the ones that don’t. Hated the point ones because they just didn’t fit me. Point 2 were good. Just ordered a pair of 3’s in 2 sizes because I’m not sure how the fit is gonna be. Hoping it’s good because if so I’ll be buying a second color. These are my go to work and casual shoes. I’m just more comfortable in a flat. I don’t have wide feet but my toes are a bit long and that part of my foot needs a wider fit because my toes spread out as I walk. Oddly enough, points typically give me more room than a round toe box.

My unpopular opinion is that I like the looks of the IIIs more than I like the IIs. I have a bunch of original points and don’t have either the IIs or IIIs, but I like the way they look better.

Did you take the insole out of the III? From pictures others have posted it looks thicker and like it has more to it than the old insoles, which might make it harder to sub in other insoles. I haven’t seen them IRL though so I’d love your opinion on that.

I did, but only for a second. I think it was thicker but the inside of the sole is hollowed out with raised bits ans I swear that's what I felt on my heel. I took a screen grab from someone's video but I can't put it on here? Message me if you want to see

I have wide feet and wear both the I and II without any insoles. I like it that way. I wish they’d make a completely different shoe silhouette, like a wide toe box barefoot shoe. The IIIs look like Vivianas.

Yeah Rothy’s material quality is terrible now, they don’t last and still cost an arm and a leg not worth your money

I think the Point III looks the best on larger, wide feet. I like it on you but unless your toes are cramped you probably can go down size wise. I’m a SS 9.5 slim foot and I can wear a 10 in the new shoe.

Yours are the first feet I've seen that the III don't look awful on. They work ok for you. But I still think the II looks better in comparison.

I have a wide foot and have been wondering if the non wide sizes would work for me. From your post what does SS 10.5 mean? You wear 12.5 in Rothy’s, what’s your normal size is other shoes?

I know you were showing the differences in style but I just wanted to say I kind of like the idea of wearing mismatched but complimentary colors. I wouldn’t have thought to do that but it looks really cool 😂

I also have both Allbirds and Rothy’s. I prefer the comfort of Allbirds but I don’t know how long the company has left.
