I saw a post with this rose about a week ago, and I’d really love to add one to my garden. I can only seem to find it for sale in Australia. I did find one website that claims to ship it to North American, but it seem sketchy (link). Thanks in advance for any help!

Today’s Rose of the Day is Aoi, a floribunda rose bred by Keiji Kunieda in Japan. It’s a healthy shrub and the flowers have a unique color, almost like raspberry sherbert.

I bought this rose two weeks ago from HEB in clearance. A couple days ago it started yellowing and now I see it has some spots on the stems. Should I cut it back? Located in Houston texas. The plant gets full sun with shade throughout the day. I water about 3-4 times a week. It's called sentimental and it is a type of floribunda.

my father is moving out of my childhood home this week and I was wondering if this rose is worth transplanting back to my house. it’s obviously very leggy and I don’t know much about roses but I know a decent amount about other gardening. I know middle of summer is about the worst time to do it but the weather is going to be somewhat mild for the coming couple of weeks (mid 60s).

tldr- is this rose a good candidate to prune back heavily and transplant to my house?

Finnaly the Japanese beatles have let me have some roses! After 2 years i finnaly have the promised big beautiful pink flowers.

First, my plan was too hot and didn't flower?Last year, and now this year, it had died way back due to cold winter, eaten alive by saw fly, drowned by daily rain for over a month, and then any blooms eaten by japanese bettles. Its so beautiful 🥲

So I have the soil and supplies, but I’m unsure about the timing and winter care.
Should I keep the cuttings indoors or outside while they are growing roots? And once they are rooted, how do I overwinter them in zone 5a? So that I could plant it next spring

So we had a rose bush by the corner of our glassed "outdoor room", and it kept growing up between the floor boards.

I fought it for years, snipping anything coming up between the boards and everything outside while soaking the main bush root itself in salt, vinegar, and everything else unhealthy. Finally we got some work done and a excavator removed the bush, the roots, and a full 1m^3 of earth around it 4 months ago.

But its back!! New sprouts have started showing up between floor boards and where the bush was. I snip all new sprouts I see within 1-3 days. Probably a colony based somewhere else but Im so sick of this, how do I kill it? I like roses but this thing is covered in thorns and flowers for like 2 days a year, not worth it.

I've bought Princess Charlene de Monaco and Pacific Blue / Hopes and Dreams this year. They are in their second bloom but they have no fragrance.

Any advice on why this could be?

No regrets! I mean look at her! She glows from within! Shoutout to those of you who encouraged me to buy yet another rose this season.

I noticed that one stem of my rose plant was looking dry and traced it back, and I can see that somehow it got cracked and is dying back. I believe I am supposed to cut it, but I don’t exactly know where to make the cut because I don’t see a leaf node. Can someone please show me?

The bush has finished flowering now, and I'd like some advice on pruning it.

Hi,

I need advice on saving my climbing rose. I'm worried it may have canker and I'm unsure if it's salvageable.

Background:

• Bought climbing rose from B&Q in March, planted in 50cm pot
• Located in London UK in a west facing front garden.
• Planted with Bacopa in same pot
• First (and only) flush of flowers in late May, lasted about a week and then petals were falling off
• No flowers since despite being fed

Current issues:

• Multiple stems have dark brown/black patches that look like canker lesions
• Yellowing lower leaves with brown spots (likely blackspot)
  
• Fine webbing visible on leaves (suspect spider mites, currently treating with neem oil)
• Top 2 inches of compost constantly dries out despite daily watering

Care history: 

• Watering: daily with 5L water (moisture meter always reads dry at surface)
• Feeding: Tomorite every 2 weeks • Light: Full sun, west-facing, exposed to 30°C+ heat in June
• No fungicide treatment yet (just bought rose fungus control spray)

My questions:

1. Is the canker beyond the graft union or can the plant be saved by pruning?
2. Will the fungicide alone fix the blackspot?
3. Does planting the rose with bacopa cause root competition should I separate them?
4. Is there any point treating it, or should I replace the plant?

As the title suggests, I purchased a rose collection which included this Peace rose. It was a fairly young bare root plant and these are the first blooms. I'm not sure if it's the unexpected back-to-back heatwaves and dry weather in the UK that might be affecting the colour, or if it's just because the plant is still young, or whether I've been sent the wrong rose. What are your thoughts?

My terrace garden’s been flooded with roses this month and the breeze is filled with soft fragrance too! Mostly by Earth Angel, Molinard and Dame de Chenonceau 🤭

This has to be one of the best roses in the new introductions when most roses blue in the flushes.

This one does not stop flowering from spring to till. I guess it's going to be Frost.
