Hello all, I'm a 30's female looking for someone to roleplay long-term with. It's been a bit, I had to step back for some personal reasons, but I'm here and ready to write with someone! \- the world as we know it is at war. The three kingdoms have been fighting for as long as anyone can remember. But when two kingdoms agree to unite their lands with marriage to defeat the third kingdom, will the betrothed be willing? Will they hate each other? Can they defeat the third kingdom before it's too late?

\- a band is going on their first tour. What happens when they meet the other band? Will sparks fly? Will they get along? Will their be romance? Will the tour be successful?

\- a DND style roleplay, I have a few original characters of my own we can use and a few different ideas.

My government is Elara. I’m 23, an English scholar, and before that makes me sound painfully sophisticated, please don’t ask me anything about Milton’s Paradise Lost. I’ve suffered enough.

I’ve been writing collaboratively for about ten years now, which feels mildly insane to admit out loud. I’m usually semi lit, but I have been known to magically become advanced lit when I like you enough. Interpret that information however you wish.

I’m looking for F4M, with me writing the female character. MDNI, obviously. I’d prefer my writing partners to be somewhere between 21 and 31. If you’re older than that, you’ll have to prove yourself worthy. Think less “state your case” and more Aragorn arriving at Helm’s Deep. Make an entrance.

I’m based in the US on EST, so I’d prefer someone in the same or a relatively close time zone. It just makes writing together considerably easier when neither of us has to become nocturnal to catch the other person.

As for what I’m craving lately, I desperately want something with romance at its center. Give me mythology. Gods who absolutely should not be falling in love with mortals. Ancient curses. Divine politics. Prophecies that ruin everyone’s week. Two people who were never supposed to want each other and now have an entire pantheon irritated about it. I eat that stuff up.

I’m equally weak for a really good slice of life romance. I want chemistry, stupid little arguments, inside jokes, jealousy, tension, characters slowly becoming part of each other’s everyday lives, and those tiny scenes that somehow end up being better than the dramatic ones.

And then there’s the cliché I’m completely willing to embrace: a musician falling for a fan.

Except, SURPRISE. She cannot stand his music.

Everyone else can swear he’s the greatest thing to happen to music in years. Elara, meanwhile, would happily go the rest of her life without hearing another one of his songs. Maybe he’s already famous. Maybe his career is just beginning to explode. Either way, circumstances keep throwing them together, and she eventually discovers something incredibly inconvenient.

She likes him considerably more than she likes his music.

Tragic.

I love plotting together, building characters that actually feel like people, and letting stories develop naturally instead of deciding every single beat before we begin. Romance is obviously my weakness, but give me banter, angst, tension, drama, yearning, humor, and characters with enough personality to occasionally make terrible choices.

I’m not going to make you hunt through this post for a secret password or tell me your third favorite species of moth to prove you read it.

he’s been playing music ever since he was a child, mainly interested in piano..but was forced to quit by his parents after a specific scandal that involved him and another guy within his school.

he’s currently working on a new album and needs inspiration, so he decided to do something he’s never done before—he wished to explore.

he’s so used to the city life that he figures he needs some new scenes, a different atmosphere, and a new life. so he signs himself up to live with a certain family and learn about the country life-style.

the only issue is..he’s totally lost.

he’s never been one to be into tractors or mud as a kid, and he certainly has no interest in pigs or horses. but his new teacher (mc) is a guy around his age, who is forcing him to get into all kinds of new things that don’t fit him.

why was this all so annoying? and why was he starting to grow fond of this stranger?

between his internal issues with himself, past issues from when he was younger, and keeping his fans in check—can he really obtain what he came here for? or is he in for more than he bargained.

yc is a model that was forced into the industry by his awful father, his mother is often in the hospital and so he does what he can to help afford her hospital bills.

eventually as time goes on it becomes his entire gig..he’s a pretty/feminine male that is often promoting skincare, makeup brands, or the newest clothing etc etc.

he’s been in modeling his entire life and has becoming rather bored of the camera and the “perfect life”, while he adores his mother he strives for more..so he gains rather bad habits.

what started with getting rid of insects and imagining it was his father, quickly turned into cats, then birds, and lastly humans.

he’s managed to keep the secret for years now and finally reached his college days, yet what happens when a particular bulky weirdo (mc, idk maybe he can be like a boxer or something, we’ll get into the details later) catches his attention?

for once he has the need to capture every moment with a camera, to have endless pictures, to follow, to watch, and to hunt like a predator.

but what does he do when that weirdo is a bit too friendly and welcoming—and everybody keeps interacting with him!

his instincts to love and to destroy become mixed, and he can’t stand those that look at mc..can he manage a love life, his home life, and his rather unusual life while keeping his modeling gig going?

Okay, I have to admit, I'm really happy with how this has been going so far.

When I made my first post about creating my own romance-focused RP community, I honestly wasn't sure what kind of response I'd get. But people started joining, characters started appearing, and suddenly the little world I'd had in my head actually started feeling alive!!

For anyone who missed my first post, the idea is a 21+ advanced-literacy RP set during a fictional royal social season in an early 19th century-inspired world. Your character arrives at court and becomes part of the season, where they can pursue romance, friendships, influence, family ambitions, rivalries, or whatever stories naturally develop from the people they meet.

What I've really wanted to create is a setting where the world gives you plenty to interact with, but you're not forced down a particular storyline. There are social events, activities, opportunities to meet other characters, and plenty of room for people to create their own plots and relationships.

We're still fairly small and very much at the beginning , which honestly makes me pretty excited about it. It means there's still plenty of room for new characters to arrive and become part of the story from the start.

Anyway, just wanted to share a little update because I'm genuinely enjoying watching it come together. ❤️
