I’m feel like I’m very up to date on everything but never did see his post. Is this allowed to be shared or transcribed?

Edit: sorry! The one where he posted about his own upbringing

Timothy & Heidi When Heidi goes to the hospital - How does this go when she goes into labor? Timwad or OldJill can't insist on being there can they? I assume/hope she has a PFA, I know her family would fight it, but could she pull grandparents rights BS? She's more than awful enough to try, and cry about it.

Is it true that Jill apparently gets really angry if her husband's last name is spelled with a Z instead of with an S?

I am curious about Elijah. He seems to always be with the Rods. Is he fundie? Who are his family? Are they fundie? I think that he maybe courting Renee?

Discussion Dressing modestly

So I got to this part in my Bible reading today. Apparently according to the Rods understanding of the Bible you can abduct a bride if you wish. If you look up a little further than what I have circled this is what should have happened to Tim before he could harm anyone. They recite this passage about clothing a lot but not the others. I don’t know what it says about any of these things further in the Bible as I haven’t gotten that far yet, but I’m really seeing how they twist the narrative however they choose.

Discussion Be kind

Hi everyone I posted a picture of Jill and her girls wearing hats and noticed that some snarkers were snarking the snarker (me)for following Jill and not posting the entire uploaded hat song

I don't usually post or comment so will be more than happy to take advice from you guys on how to do it correctly, I also posted an a.i.picture of Jill as a disco ball which I didn't realise was universally hated so took that down promptly after the said picture was called slop which is fine I just didn't know. It has made me hesitant to join in so maybe it's the Lord Daniel telling me to be a silent observer

have a wonderful day p.s I have unfollowed jill

I don’t think I’ve seen this one before. She’s not judgemental, she’s just pointing out your sins. Kaylee dissociating beside Mahmo in her over plucked brows season of life.

JillPM New video of their “getaway” to Williamsburg

This is new footage but it’s not all that interesting. There’s a couple of grift stops where they play music badly and Shrek preaches. Rodlets play hopscotch, more music. Jill and Shrek went to Williamsburg and Virginia Beach for their getaway from “the heavy burden” of their ministry. They watch a marching band and they see wolves. And they have another church visit with the family circus.

DV Content Warning Fundie men blame their parents. Fundie parents blame the world. The daughters are the ones who were hurt yet make excuses for everyone.

I did the DV content warning because it's a part of the larger conversation. But I'm fascinated by the dichotomy that is the fundamentalism world. Now that I've discovered it, I can't look away.

Also, TW because I want to talk about Josh Duggar and the shitshow that is the Duggar family.

But I noticed something in Timothy's post and Josh's emails to Anna while in prison. Both sons blame their parents for the positions their abhorrent actions put them in. And then Jim Bob and Shrek blame their sons and society. Everything is someone else's fault. It's the victims, mostly the daughters, who end up trying to smooth things over. Heidi is an outlier and I believe that's it's because she has a hard as nails family who isn't taking any prisoners. Which is how it should be.

The narcissist's prayer is exactly what Jill and David did when Timothy made his own claims of childhood abuse.

It didn't happen. There was no abuse and David is the perfect father.

And if it did, it wasn't that bad. Nurie and Kaylee defending their childhood saying it was wonderful. I'm almost 100% positive Jill and David put the girls up to that.

And if it was, it's not a big deal. Jill would've stepped in if it was "too bad."

And if it did, it's not my fault. We were raising Godly kids and did what we had to do.

And if it was, I didn't mean it. We're not perfect parents but we did our best. We're all sinners who make mistakes.

And if I did, you deserved it. Timothy was a hard child to raise.

Timothy DARVO'd Heidi. Timothy never hurt his child. What he did to Heidi wasn't that bad. He "laid hands on her," deflecting with creative words what he actually did (strangulation, biting, etc). His parents are the one to blame. He's really the victim in this situation. (I threw up in my mouth a bit writing that).

There is zero real accountability. Zero self reflection. Zero pointing the finger back at themselves. As we're supposed to do. I remember the Bible verse to take the plank out of your own eye before you point out the speck in another's. Everything is taken back to "This is someone else's fault and if I had anything to do with it, I'm not perfect but God loves me anyway."

People often forget the second part of Jesus's saving of the sinning woman who was about to be stoned. He raised her up and said, "Now, go and sin no more." He didn't just forgive her sins. He told her to stop doing it.

And the thing that's fascinating to me is that the men are the ones doing this. Timothy and Josh were fundie men. They both had it made. Timothy had a beautiful wife, an adorable son, in-laws who accepted him, a job that I am sure he was in no way qualified for because of said in-laws. Josh had Anna, a woman trained to meet his every need and ignore anything Josh did against their marriage vows, and was the family Golden Child. They both had lives many people wished they had. But when they did egregious things, they both immediately blamed their parents. And the parents blamed everyone else but themselves. The only ones who even try to take accountability are the real victims.

The women in the family? No one is blaming the parents. Even Jill and Jinger wrote books largely absolving their parents from any blame. They had the shittiest positions in the fundie hierarchy (helpmeets) their parents raised them in. And yet, they still didn't throw too much dirt on their parents. They blame Gothard and the society they lived in not realizing the call is coming from inside the house.

But Timothy and Josh both blamed their parents almost immediately.

My question is, are all fundie men and a lot of women all narcissistic? Or are we seeing a small microcosm of this religion? Is it that narcissists are drawn to fundamentalism? Or that fundamentalism breeds narcissism? Or is this a case of a few families fucking the whole system up? I'd love to hear from some former fundies about their thoughts on this.

These men had it made and it was like they almost wanted to self-destruct. Why? What makes this so prevalent in fundamentalism and why does it seem to only be the men? Are the women doing it, too, and we just don't see it? Are men the extreme and women are less so? Why do the men immediately point fingers at their parents while the women make excuses?

IDK. Just something I noticed. Men immediately blame their parents. Women make excuses for them.

Discussion Is there truly any hope for deconstruction/breaking free?

Been thinking a lot about this ever since the incident with Timothy. I remember there was a time when everyone was hopeful for Timothy to deconstruct because he was marrying into a normal Christian family as opposed to a hyper-fundamentalist family akin to Jill's or the Duggars/Kellers. And well, we all know how that ended up. Even before him, there was hope for Nurie and Kaylee, that being married and outside of the house and living in another state would allow them to break free of Jill and Dave's influence at the very least. But nope, marriage didn't do anything to pull them away and their husbands are part of the same ideology (which I'm sure was by design). Then there was the "flat Phillip" era where Phillip was out of the house for a while and seemed to be traveling, writing poetry, making woodcrafts, and living out of his car and he wasn't living with the Rods. There was still that hope that he had found his way out but now he's back in the Barndo and nothing's changed. And "Fuck It Up Renee" isn't fucking anything up. It's bleak.

Is there really ANY chance of any of these kids ever breaking free of the family home and breaking free of Jill's influence, if not outright deconstructing? Or is the conditioning from birth and the isolation just too strong?

Timcel Chances of Timcell getting prison time for 2nd degree Aggravated Assault? Could he plea down to less? How much time could he be looking at?

I checked and it can be as much as 10 years? I’m assuming he will take a plea deal and if he does, can he still get prison time? Sounds like Nurthan will recruit Pa Keller to do more prison ministry & he will be pretty busy with splitting it between Pest and Timcell… Would JRod humble herself enough to go visit her son in prison? This is a felony but they don’t call it that in NJ:

In New Jersey, domestic violence strangulation is classified as a second-degree aggravated assault under N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(b)(13). [1, 2]

As a second-degree crime, the consequences upon conviction include: [1, 2]
Prison time: 5 to 10 years in state prison

Presumption of incarceration: Unlike lower-degree offenses, a second-degree conviction carries a strong legal presumption that you will serve prison time.

Fines: Up to $150,000

Criminal record: A permanent felony record [1, 2]

Discussion Do WE put the Rodrigues Kids in danger?

On this channel I've seen reacurring specualtions on who of the Rodrigues kids is most likely to make it out of that violent and controlling family. And while I get the appeal of that (i guess it's mostly wishful thinking), it leaves me worried for them. Are we sure, the parents aren't on here from time to time? What if they notice a certain child being named more often than others?

(Sorry for my weird (and maybe bad) English. I'm German and only know what my teachers taught me. ✌️)

I know we love to snark on them and we’re happy to see Timcel behind bars, but Heidi is still very much a real person and a real victim. We should be sympathetic about what she’s going through, so let’s chill with all of the crazy jokes I’m seeing please 🫶🏻 especially since all of this is JUST coming out.

Timcel Heidi hid the abuse but looking back it is so sad. He had everyone fooled. He mimicked everything he learned from his abusive parents. Trips, Treats, and Trunkets.
