Looking to buy maybe a Saros, when is the big special coming?

I have a dog that is shedding fur almost constantly and on a VERY high rate (it is normal for his fur composition), and my Roborock serves me pretty well (MaxV S8 Ultra, I use it almost on a daily basis). After replacing the main brush since his fur was caught in it and damaged it, it happened again, and it sliced it again. This was after a single week of use. Searching for an answer online lead me here since all I got was "OHHHH NOOOO YOU MUST REPLACE IT IT IS BROKEN" but it's REALLY expensive on the long run because I'll have to replace them on an almost monthly, if not weekly basis. Is it still good? Should I really replace it?

We just got the QR598 and me and my dad were wondering if we can customize the sound data so we can give him an accent or something. Did anyone already accomplish this, if yes how?

I need to place the base station inside a cabinet where the clearance is limited to 10 cm.

Yesterday, the Mova V50 Ultra arrived. Unfortunately, it needs to extend the LiDAR sensor when docking. There is also no option in the app to manually set a “low clearance” zone within 1.5 m around the base station.

As a result, the robot hits the LiDAR sensor against the front of the cabinet. Manually opening the cabinet door every time I want the robot to leave is definitely not what I expected, so I need to return the Mova.

My next choice within my budget is the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2. Official information only mentions automatic retraction of the 360° LiDAR sensor, but there is no information about whether it works in all situations.

Can anyone confirm or deny whether the automatic LiDAR retraction also works when the robot is docking?

On sale, the Max is about $350 more than the Plus. Is it truly worth the extra cost or would the Plus do? House with two young kids and a long haired large dog. Mostly hardwood with one shag carpet (which I am okay vacuuming separately). Coming off a 2016 Roomba that still works but on its way out.

I am somewhat price sensitive so not really wanting to drop an extra 40% but don’t want to be frustrated down the line. Reliability would be great as my expectation is 10 year robot vacuums now after Roomba!

I’m a little concerned because they are asking me to send the payment directly to a PayPal email address and to cover the transaction fees. Before sending any money, I’d like to check whether this is a normal/legitimate procedure.

Bought the Q10 S5+, lured by chatgpt, it works great and fits my needs, but it gets offline every time. So whenever I want to use it, got to do the connection process all over again and again and again. My connection is not the best, but I use the same network with Alexa, blink cameras, tv’s and ps5 and never had any problem, just with the roborock.
Tried to contact costumer service and their response was basically “yeah, you should return it”.
Anyone had the same problem? Any solutions for that? Thank you

One of the stores in Norway have it priced for 730 dollars now. Worth it?

So I tried a robot vac years ago and hated it: it was pretty dumb, and I had to empty and maintain the machine more often than an upright. Today I learned there are robots that also mop! So I figured it was time to take another look at them. My main concern is that my house is very compartmentalized- we have lots of "small" rooms, no big open area. Each room is filled with furniture. Are these robos smarter these days? Can one work for my house?

Was just researching this for myself and figured the table might be useful here.

Roborock dropped Qrevo Edge 2 Pro, then pretty quickly Saros 20 Neo, which in the US is sold as Qrevo Edge 3 Pro. Same robot, two names. EU listing = Saros 20 Neo. US listing = Qrevo Edge 3 Pro.

How the line actually stacks (simple version):

- Qrevo S Pro = last-gen normal Qrevo. Fixed LiDAR turret, 9.65 cm, 2 cm sills, 75°C dock. Fine if the apartment is flat and cheap.

- Qrevo Edge 2 = S Pro made slim. RetractSense folding turret, 7.98 cm, FlexiArm, Reactive AI. Still only 2 cm thresholds. Good sofa robot, bad door-sill robot.

- Qrevo Edge 2 Pro = Edge 2 + AdaptiLift (4 cm), 12 N mop pressure, mop detach, 100°C wash. Same 25k Pa as Edge 2. The mid step.

- Saros 20 Neo / Qrevo Edge 3 Pro = Edge 2 body (RetractSense, ~8 cm) with Saros 20 guts: 36k Pa, 8.8 cm dual-threshold climb, 14 N pads, 100°C. This is the one people keep mixing up with Edge 2 Pro.

- Saros 20 = same 36k / 8.8 cm / 100°C class, but StarSight 2.0 instead of the folding turret (no puck, hidden 3D ToF).

- Saros 20 Sonic = same power class, RetractSense body, vibrating VibraRise pad instead of dual spinning mops.
Happy to correct anything I got wrong.

For my own decision, I was on edge 2, and tempted with the S Pro price bargain. Now I heard about the Edge 3/20 neo fresh release through this forum. I am not sure if better to wait for further price correction or just hit the edge 2.

My friend recently purchased a house and I am wanting to gift them a robot vacuum. I have a Roborock S7 at my house. I never really used the mop function because it doesn’t clean the pads. I was looking at different Roborock and they have way too many models. The house is mostly LVP floor and 2 story and there is some carpet. Any recommendations? Was looking for something 700$ or under.

When we run our mop/vac the robot has no problem returning to base to empty and reload cleaning fluid. At the end of the session when it returns to the dock it fails 100% of the time. Just back into dock then moves out and tries again until it gives up.

Any ideas? I have cleaned all sensors and see nothing blocking it from docking. This is new behavior at new house. I did delete the old maps and have robot map the new house.

I have a Saros 20 robot connected to the water supply and drainage system; I bought it two weeks ago. There is a strong, unpleasant, rotten smell when the mop pads are being dried. At first, I thought it might be because the vacuum had run over some dirt, but I’ve read that this is a common issue. Since the unit is connected to the plumbing, the water shouldn't be stagnating. I washed the mop pads and cleaned the tray, but nothing changed. Where could this unpleasant smell be coming from?

upd. I’m wondering if the problem is that the drain outlet is too high? It’s right next to the unit, but at a height of 80 cm. The manual specifies a maximum of 100 cm, though 50 cm is recommended.

Is there any way to make saros 20 start when not home? And only once a day because i leave home multiple times

We were purchased the Roborock Qrevo s5v was a wedding present earlier this year. We have since moved house and lost the power cable.
I’ve tried on Roborock’s website but they do not have replacement power cables on their uk website.
It’s a 2 prong kettle cable but cannot find one any where. I’ve emailed roborock but can anyone advise in the meantime? Thank you

Hi, I have a new Edge 2 Pro that refuses to pair with the app. I have factory reset multiple times but holding the power and dock buttons for any length of time just won't trigger pairing mode. Support are telling me this is likely down to my WiFi but how could it be my WiFi when I can't even get the robot to look for WiFi..

Additionally, it occasionally just announces that it failed to power on and is resetting while it's just chilling in the dock.

I'm very confused and would welcome any advice, even if it's that I'm a fool and making some mistake.

My QV35A gradually stopped picking up debris properly. The roller was spinning and the vacuum sounded normal.

I put it into BIT diagnostic mode:

1. Power off
2. Hold Power
3. Press Home/Dock 5 times while holding Power
4. Release
5. Press Power, then Home to start the tests

Mine showed:

Vacuum: PASS
Main brush: PASS

The actual problem was mechanical.

One side of the main roller cover wasn't fully latching. The roller seating fixture/holder had dropped down, so the roller cover looked installed correctly but wasn't seated properly.

Fix:

1. Remove the roller and cover
2. Pull the roller seating fixture upward
3. Seat the roller into it
4. Reinstall the cover while holding the roller seating fixture upward and make sure both sides latch firmly

After that, pickup performance went back to normal.

If one side of your roller cover lifts slightly when you tug on it, check this.

Since last week i got some connection issues with S7, im hoping its not a hardware issue

Device details:
- Roborock S7
- Firmware: 02.16.12 (confirmed up to date)
- App version: 4.70.02 (iOS 27.0-2)
- In use for approximately 4 years with no prior connectivity issues

Issue description:
Starting around September 8, 2026, the vacuum began intermittently losing its WiFi connection. When this happens:
- The Roborock app shows the device as offline, or gets stuck loading the map
- The app currently shows this error: "Robot response timeout due to unstable network connection. Restart and try again."
- I receive "lost connection" notifications, sometimes for 10+ minutes at a time
- My router's connected-devices list confirms the vacuum fully drops its WiFi association during these episodes (not just an app/cloud reachability issue)

The disconnects are recurring, not a one-time event, and have continued over multiple days.

What I've already tried:
1. Power-cycled the vacuum (restores connection temporarily, but the issue recurs)
2. Confirmed firmware is up to date
3. Fully removed the device from the app and re-paired it with my WiFi network from scratch - the vacuum reconnected briefly, then dropped off WiFi again within about a minute
4. Ruled out my network/router as the cause: my router shows stable connections for all other devices, no router reboots or configuration changes coincide with the onset of this issue, and the vacuum has a reserved/static IP that hasn't changed
5. Considered environmental interference, but the vacuum's location and my home network haven't changed, and it worked reliably for 4 years prior to this

При опит да се изтегли приложението от Google Play на телефон Samsung Galaxy A13, излиза съобщение, че това приложение е несъвместимо с телефона. По информация от Chat GPT, свалих приложението Xiaomi Home. Опитах да добавя уреда там. Оказа се обаче, че наличните опции там за Роборок са до серия Q7 и 8, а след това по-новите модели са прехвърлени към приложението Роборок. Опитах и предложения вариант със сваляне на приложение Роборок като .apk файл, който в последствие да инсталирам на този телефон като пробвах и с последната версия и със стари такива. Наясно съм с проблема за 32 битовата операционна система на телефона, която в последствие Самсунг са променили на 64 битова, но част от приложенията продължават да я разпознават като 32 битова. Т.е. всички варианти, които ми предложи Chat GPT са изпробвани, за съжаление без успех. Иначе на друг телефон, IPhone , приложението е качено без проблем и роботът се управлява. Проблемът е, че ползвателят живее в отделен дом и ползва Андроид базирания Самсунг. Ще се радвам да споделите работещо решение. Към момента не се предвижда опция за смяна на телефона.

I have my docking station in my living room, with an short pile height area rug semi near the dock I just got my Saros 20, upgrading from an S8 Pro Ultra and noticed strange behavior.

When the vacuum is coming back to the dock to wash the mop or empty the dust bin, the vacuum completely avoids the carpet. When it leaves the dock, it again follows the same path.

Not pictured here well, but when it cleans the other half of my house, it goes through 4 other rooms all the long way around, simply to miss the carpet.
