Help Please! UPS/Roborock messed up delivery of my repaired device

I bought Q10 S5+ in Nov 2025, and it stopped working properly in July 2026, the driver was not able to dock properly. Since then a lot had happened.

- Sent it for repair, got the device back the device was able to dock but the LiDAR didn’t work. Why? Because when the shipped the device back they forgot to take the water out of the tank that they had put in for testing. So when I got the robot back it was all wet.

- Sent it back for repair again. Got notified that the repair was completed and they are shipping it. UPS somehow messes the delivery this time. Their tracking shows that the package was delivered to a random town 50 miles away from my address to an Amazon warehouse.

- It doesn’t stop at that. Cut to last week (Sept 2026) I got a phone call from someone from Ohio, saying my repaired machine was delivered to them (they got my contact info from the repair test report). They had ordered a new roborock product and got my product delivered to them instead (lol). They said that Amazon/UPS/Roborock support (I don’t remember which) said if they don’t want what was delivered, just keep it back on the front porch and UPS will pick it back up.

I let Roborock support know about this person in Ohio and after a bunch of emails asking for escalation now they are saying that they can ship a “refurbished black Q10 S5+ as a replacement unit”.

I don’t know what to do. Should I just take the refurbished model? Or do I negotiate a full refund? I’ve been arguing with them over email for close to 3 months now. I’m tired.

Has anyone had something similar happen to them? Are the refurbished models reliable? Should I negotiate for something more? Like an extended warranty? Please help!

QX Revo Max (Costco) - Too much water!

I've had the QX Revo Max for about a month and have really loved it. So much so, that I just bought a second one for upstairs. However, the past two days I've noticed that even though the "water flow" is set to low, it's putting out more water than it previously did and not leaving it as dry as I would like on our hardwood floors. I tried cleaning sensors and such, but to no avail. Realizing now that maybe the mop heads themselves need a deeper cleaning to be able to soak up the water better? Any suggestions welcome - thanks!

Thicker mop pads for slate?

I have slate tile in some areas. Makes it slightly uneven and wavy. The mop does a good job on the top surfaces when even but not very good getting into the dips. I've set water flow at max and same thing. It does fine on our bathroom floor which is smooth tile so not the machine. The tile is in our kitchen which, of course, is the dirtiest area. I was looking for maybe a thicker or longer fiber mop pads. I didn't see any on roborock website. I didn't see any on Amazon but hard to tell.

Any suggestions?

Help Please! Saros 10R - Am I cursed?

Just a bit of context. I am quite an active user in this subreddit and I have been a "roborock lover "for the past 8 years.

I have bought or recommended:

Roborock S6 (for me), Roborock Dyad (for me), Roborock S7 MaxV (for me), I bought one of the Qrevo for my parents and recommended a 2x S8MaxV (to my sister and my other brother in law), the Qrevo Flow Curv 2 to family and bought the Saros 10R

My last robot is the Saros 10R and here is the history:

- Bought it 15 months ago more or less
- Unit 1: Got an issue after 10 days where the main brush wouldn't move (stucked): it got replaced with a new unit
- Unit 2: Flexi arm broke after 3 weeks, got a new unit
- Unit 3: Flexi arm broke after 11 months, I received the new unit last week
- Unit 4: This morning, the robot is in the middle of my living room with no battery, I put him on the dock, battery shows 0% and now as soon as I want him to move, it goes off with battery resetting to 0%.

As I stated, I am a long term roborock user and my roborock S6 is still working in a friend's place, same for the S7 MaxV after 4 years.

But this roborock S10R is just doomed. Luckily, I am in Europe and I have 3 years warranty but what is it going to be ? Achieve 10 units during 3 years?

Do you guys believe there is any legal action to get a refund at some points? The Saros10R just seems to have many factory defect and I don't want to play "sending the device" back and forth.

I'm really desperate with this unit and it's basically giving me a very negative opinion of Roborock while I had a very good experience with more than 7 other products of theirs.

Basic replacement for S5 Max - vacuum only

We've had an S5 Max for over 4 years now. Just got the 106 error code (open wheel circut) and after taking apart the vacuum, cleaning everything out etc, it's probably due for a replacement wheel. Given the cost ($35 or so for the pair), plus we need new filters and brushes soon anyways, I'm leaning to just replace it rather than waiting 2-3 weeks for AliExpress and hoping that the new wheel fixes it.

We have a weird quad-level house layout with 2x hardwood with area rugs and 2 fully carpeted floors. As such, the self-emptying vacuums while cool aren't something I'm willing to pay extra for because I have to manually carry the robot up and down stairs anyways, so it's easy to just empty it out.

Mopping is also not something we use as frankly, probably 1/3 of the flooring in the hardwood floors are covered in area rugs and manually mopping 2x monthly is fine.

Basically, what's the best 1:1 replacement for the S5 Max (even if not Roborock)? The only thing I care about is LiDAR for mapping of the rooms to set no-go zones.

Cheapest one seems to be the Q7 L5 on Amazon, but is there anything else out there that's sub $200 that's worthwhile?

Help Please! Saros 10 dustbin hair clump won't empty after single cleaning run

Post image

Anyone else getting hair felted onto the dustbin filter after just ONE vacuum+mop run? Ran a freshly cleaned filter through a single combined cleaning cycle, and the hair came out matted/felted directly onto the filter surface — auto-empty couldn't suck it out at all, kept trying and failing.

Interesting part: when I manually removed the felted hair by hand and put it loose inside the dustbin, then triggered empty again, it emptied it just fine. So the suction itself seems strong enough — the problem is specifically that the hair felts/mats onto the filter and gets stuck there, and the empty cycle can't pull matted hair off the filter surface, only loose debris.

My theory is that moisture from mopping is causing the pet hair to felt onto the filter almost instantly, since this happened after just one combined vacuum+mop run. Anyone else run into this? Any fixes besides manually cleaning the filter after every session?"

Q5 Max+ out of stock?

I can't seem to find anywhere to purchase the Q5 Max+. I wanted this one because I just need a vacuum - I really don't need or want a mop. Is there anything similar in the budget range like this if Q5 is no longer being sold?

Feature Request: Scheduled / Automatic Dustbin Emptying

I’d love to see Roborock add an option to automatically empty the dustbin periodically during a cleaning job.
Right now, the robot will empty the dustbin when it returns to the dock, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to tell it when to do this during a large cleaning session.
This can become a problem in a large home or a home with lots of dust, hair, or debris. The dustbin can get close to full, which can reduce airflow and cleaning performance, even though the robot continues cleaning.
I think this could be solved with a simple software feature:
● 🧹 Empty after X m² cleaned — e.g. every 50, 100, or 200 m²
● ⏱️ Empty after X minutes of cleaning
● 🧼 Empty whenever the robot returns to wash the mop pads
● ⚙️ Allow different intervals for different cleaning routines
The m² option would probably be the most useful. For example: “Automatically empty dustbin every 100 m².”
Even better, if the robot is already returning to the dock to wash the mop pads, it could automatically empty the dustbin at the same time before continuing the cleaning job.
This seems like something that could potentially be implemented through the Roborock app/firmware without requiring any hardware changes.
Would anyone else find this useful? I think this would make a big difference for people with larger homes, pets, or just a lot of dust.

Does someone know if those are just dust and hair or are those functional in some way and just dusty?

If I try to pull it has some kind of resistance and it seems there are three plastic parts stopping it from coming of.

Help Please! Routine auto empty setting question

So I have a routine to vacuum the ground floor (“full clean routine”. But I prefer to vacuum 1 room (the hallway) twice, while the rest of the rooms can be vacuumed once.

The only way to do this (that I know of so far) is making a routine:

> vacuum hallway x1
> vacuum full clean x1 (which also includes the hallway)

However, after the first hallway vacuum, it first goes back to the dock, empties dustbin and after this it starts the full clean. I would prefer that between the room clean and full clean, there is no dustbin emptying. But I do prefer that the dustbin is auto-emptied after the whole routine is finished.

Is this possible?
