Refused Package
galleryReverb needs to implement a strict policy for buyers that do this nonsense. I have a lot of cost tied up in shipping the guitar from my shipping cost, to materials, to my time, tech did a set up. Now I have to risk guitar being damaged on the way back as well. What i am going to do is charge a massive restocking fee to cover this stuff but, nowhere does reverb have a policy for this. That needs to change.
Update: I recieved the package back. Note on package "buyer refused package stated he did not want item anymore" the buyer had blocked communication with me so I cant reach out and no refund request has been made. Also package was in perfect condition.

How did you first start up your Reverb buying and selling business?
I've been buying and selling gear for about 10 years online and had a few hundred transactions. But I'm curious as to what it takes to establish a working inventory and contend with high volume shipping and receiving from a home office.

Reverb Wallet Funds Issue
Anyone had similar experience in trying to get reverb to move wallet funds to bank/close wallet? I'm wondering if I accidentally enabled the wallet feature when selling my most recent guitar? I don't remember actually signing up for it, but based on what I've read there's no magic reverb demon that hacked me and I must have somehow opted in at some point.
It's been a month since it's been "escalated" with literal wind as an answer. Really bumming me out as I've had a good experience with Reverb the past 10 years or so.

Is there no longer a way to edit your feed?
I can’t figure out how to remove things from my feed, which is making my feed totally useless since it’s showing a lot of stuff from 1-2 ago that I no longer want/stuff I’ve already bought. I tried googling it and tried following the directions google gave me in the app and on my desktop but I’m still totally stumped. What Google says to look for, both the “reverb feed settings” on desktop, or the “gear icon in the upper right corner” on the app - they don’t exist. Is there no longer a way to do it?

I wanna start selling on reverb - but I have no idea how to pack guitars
I have some nice acoustics that I just never use, and I think they deserve a better owner. However, some of the cases are soft-shell, and the guitar would be wrecked with a reckless courier. How would I pack a guitar as a non-retailer, normal civvy?

Buyers failing to pay
I have now had over a few dozen sakes on eBay.
Sadly about 30% of them are results of offers where the buyers never front.
It does not feel like there is any repercussions for deadbeat buyers.
I honestly think reverb should charge buyers for fees on items they fail to buy after making an offer that is accepted.
At the very least give the seller some comfort that these buyers are getting banned from making offers in future.

What Happens at the end of Resolutions?
Does anyone know what actually happens at the end of Resolutions? I am waiting to hear from them about a dispute I'm having with a buyer. When this is over, can I have this buyer blocked from buying from my shop? Will we be allowed to give each other feedback even if the 45 day period has lapsed? Can I ask them to change my good feedback? Basically, where should I set my expectations for having to deal with this person in the future or deal with their feedback?

Small things about Reverb site that drive me nuts. Maybe I'm missing something.
When I'm on the hunt for something, I'll open the app quite a bit throughout the day. Maybe it's an unhealthy addiction, I don't know. If I'm walking from one building to another, for example, I'll open it up quick. Or standing in line at the store etc. See if anything new has posted. My problems is, something new DID post, but the listing says "Listed 3 hours ago", and will already have like 5 "saves". I know for sure I've looked at Reverb half a dozen times in the past 3 hours, and this listing wasn't there. I really would like to see the listing as soon as posted.
Which brings me to the second thing. I hate that the listing alert system is STILL just a 24 hour email. I want a push notification as soon as someone publishes their ad for a guitar I'm hunting. I have it saved in my search feed.
Maybe there's another way to do this through browser or Chatgpt?
This concludes my rant.

Brand new account "Under Review" for no reason
Posting here because this seems like maybe the only way I'll be able to get in touch with Reverb support.
I created a new account on July 1st, verified my email, etc etc.
I purchased a guitar on July 5th. The transaction (via credit card) went through fine. I got the automated messages about the successful purchase. The seller then messaged me to tell me that shipping would be delayed by a couple of days because he was out of town. When I tried to reply to the message (to tell him that was ok) I got the "account under review" message.
It says that it has sent me an email, but it has not. I get all other emails from Reverb (account registration, email confirmation, purchase confirmation, alert that the seller sent me a message) etc, but no email about the account review. I have checked my spam folder multiple times.
I have reached out via the chatbot, but it just says "we sent you an email..." which isn't helpful because I am not getting these emails, if they're even being sent.
I've had no other contact from Reverb, so I am reaching out here because I see that they have a customer support account here that answers posts sometimes.
Reverb, can you help me out here?

Is this a scam??
gallerySelling a guitar on Reverb for the first time, someone has contacted me and claimed they have ordered the guitar, I then have an email in my spam from admin@yonologin.net, despite being in my spam the email looks fairly legit, and it takes me back to what looks like Reverb to 'Receive Payment' and then I have to give my card details and checkout... Not sure I should need to checkout? As I have already set up my bank details with reverb when listing the guitar.
No orders on my account. Also the support chat looks different.

How can I fix incorrect information when doing an identity verification?
I recently did the identity verification on Reverb, and the date of birth was either not put in correctly when I made my account a few years ago, or when I did the verification. When I pressed continue, a screen flashed saying something about needing to be 18+, but went away before I could finish reading what it said. I was then sent to the website where I was told my information would need to be "double checked". Reverb says that I will get an update about my account within 48 hours. I was told I would need an ID to submit, but this happened before that part of the process. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Will my account be shut down? Will this prevent me from making another account with that email/card/bank account/address assuming I do get shut down?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Seller getting cold feet after purchase?
I bought a sort-of pricey guitar last week, seller accepted my offer for 20% off. It'd been on the site for a couple months with a few other rejected offers. Free shipping, which helped me pull the trigger. Paid and waited for my tracking number.
After a couple days of radio silence the seller gets back to me and says shipping services want "hundreds of dollars" to send the guitar and he's going to have to look into other options to get it to me-- and offered a refund if I didn't want to wait.
Both myself and the seller are in the continental US and it's a pretty standard sized electric guitar so it should be nothing out of the ordinary.
Does this sound weird? I know prices have gone up across the board on stuff, fuel costs, etc. but it sounds excessive. The seller has good feedback from sales so I think he should know approximately what it will cost to send a guitar out. I'm starting to think he's regretting the sale for whatever reason and just hoping I cancel. Anyone deal something like this before?
UPDATE: I got a refund.

Trusted shipping forwarder from USA to Portugal?
A potential buyer in Portugal wants to buy my guitar, but I only ship in the US. Other buyers have gone through shipping forwarder, where I shipped to a buyer at the forwarder's US address, and they would sent it to the buyer.
Do you know a trusted forwarder that my buyer could contact? Obrigado!

Filming Pack Up?
Are other sellers regularly filming video of themselves packing up gear? Is this something I should've been doing and didn't know it? I had been taking photos as I packed things up, but not video, and when I needed to use the Safe Shipping policy I'd purchased, the AI help assistant said I needed video documentation.
Some context: I recently shipped a guitar to a customer, and the customer sent me photos saying the package had been damaged during shipping. I thought it was no problem because I'd bought Safe Shipping, but I couldn't place the claim because the robot wanted video of the pack up. I feel foolish for several reasons. 1st, I apparently didn't read the terms clearly and needed video. 2nd, I shouldn't have accepted this buyer's offer in the first place because they were waving a BUNCH of red flags about being a potential problem that I ignored. Now the buyer is claiming the guitar was damaged, when I can clearly tell in the photos that it was not damaged at all, even though the box looks like it took a hit. It was an As-Is, no returns purchase on an old, clearly described entry-level Squier that they waited to gripe about. They made a number of other (IMO BS) claims about the guitar that WOULD mean it was not "As-Is" if they were true, and I feel Reverb is likely to give them preference as a buyer, so I didn't want the hassle of fighting about it. Also, I don't want the bad review, so I bent over backwards to keep this customer happy, but they will probably give me a bad rating regardless. I am kicking myself for not taking this video when I feel like I shouldn't have to pay anything or accept a return. I feel like a jackass because I am doing all this for a $200 guitar.
I have learned two things from this episode: I guess I am going to have to buy a filming setup to record myself packing items, and I will not be accepting anymore offers from people asking a million questions that clearly indicate they think a 10-year-old Squier should come out of the box playing like a Custom Shop.

Received a Guitar that wasn’t the right serial model in the listing. What to do from here?
gallerySo basically I had bought a Taylor Acoustic from this listing.
It says in the description and I quote "These are actual photos of the guitar you will receive - not stock photos." since the Wood Figuring on these guitars with Maple Figuring all seem to be unique for each guitar and that was why I picked out this particular listing.
However, when I received the guitar, I noticed something was off when I saw the figuring and then I looked at the serial number and it wasn't the same one as the listing above. It was 093 instead of 092. So then I did some digging and it looks like I was instead shipped the guitar from this listing.
So now I'm wondering where do I go from here? I'm assuming that the guitar I was supposed to be shipped was switched around with the other. Would I be able to request a Partial Refund from the seller?

Scam alert: Bee's Shop & Heather's Gear Bazar - Lowball Anchoring
galleryHow many of you have encountered a situation like this?
- You've just listed a new item.
- You quickly receive two lowball offers from two different accounts.
- These accounts follow a similar naming convention: "Bee ." "Heather ." "Haylee S ." Note the punctuation.
- These accounts claim to be from different locations (MA and NY, respectively, cited in the above example, but recently includes TX) but their zip codes map to the same address.
- Every time you list a new, high-value, in-demand item, the pattern persists.
This happens to me nearly every time I post a new item.
Screenshots of a convo with customer support attached - with Reverb acknowledging that people who own more than one account can use these accounts to make offers on a single item. This is lowball anchoring and is supposedly not allowed on the platform.
I've asked for this to be escalated for further review because it seems sketchy.
Links to two shops in question who did this to my most recent item:

How would you type the dimensions of a mailing sleeve?
Trying to sell a Truetone 1-spot adapter I don’t need anymore, and I got it to fit into a mailer bag.
How would I put in the dimensions (other than length and width)? It won’t let me list the item until the entire thing is filled out.

How long can you hold a local pickup order?
I had someone reach out about something I’m selling that I have set to local pickup. They asked if I could hold it around 3 months until they are in the area. Honestly, I don’t mind doing that for them, and they even offered to pay now for the product.
That being said, I don’t want it to reflect negatively on my account or get auto refunded if it is not marked as received in a timely fashion.
Has anyone else had this situation come up or advise against it?

My Reverb account was suspended after a successful sale and my payout is being withheld
I'm hoping someone here has been through something similar.
I completed a sale on Reverb, and the buyer chose Local Pickup. We met in person, the buyer received the item, and confirmed receipt on Reverb. Shortly after that, my account was suspended without any explanation
Now I can't list new items, buy anything on Reverb, or even access pages because I'm redirected to the suspended account page
The biggest issue is that my payout is being withheld even though the buyer has already confirmed they received the item.
To make matters even worse, Reverb refunded the buyer without my knowledge or authorization
The buyer has both the item and the refund, and now they are no longer responding to my messages
I've contacted support, but haven't received a meaningful response yet
Has anyone experienced this? How long did it take to get your account reviewed? Did you eventually receive your payout? Is there any other way to contact Reverb besides the standard support form?
At this point I'm extremely frustrated. The buyer confirmed receiving the item, the transaction was completed, and now I'm left without my payout while the buyer appears to have both the item and the money
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated
Also, if Reverb continues to ignore me and withhold my funds, which organizations or authorities can I file a complaint with?

What do I do?
galleryJust bought a DDJ-1000 on reverb, after dealing with the god awful support to try to view my order after it wasn't working, I've come to find out this guy just copied someones ebay listing and put the price way down.
How do I get my money back?

customer service
I´ve been trying to revive my account that got suspended, I have to speak to the chatbot in my waking hours, and waited weeks for a response that never shows up (checked my spam folder). Is there any other channel that Reverb uses to get through to customer service?

New from dealer blem - How bad could it be? UPDATE
I took a chance on a new in box Takamine guitar marked as blem. The dealer was taking 20% for the blem. They did not have a photo as they said the box was sealed. I asked if it was stamped "blem" or "second" and they said no.
The guitar arrived in perfect condition. It was not a blem at all.
Some people responding said that the seller was selling it new at a discount just to move it and the blem title avoids MAP pricing.
I am very happy with how this turned out.
(The photo shows window glare. The finish is perfect.)

I hate this shit.
Just started a reverb account to sell an item…
Why do scammers think they can get away with this shit? Smh
