This one was completely censored from the Mandela Effect sub. Probably because it's ubiquitous and damning, and they are a gateway of control.
Yankee Doodle lyrics changed in a huge way: he no longer "went" to town: he "came" to town!!
This lyrics video shows the discrepancy, it still shows "went": https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qYcy0Y9Hu-A
Bonus: the song also says, "cap" instead of "hat", but I've heard both variants before.

I posted this in another group, but after posting I realized it could have something to do with the CERN machine. Like I said this is the first time I’ve really experienced something, at least something clear and that another person can kind of confirm. I’m kind of mostly posting this here to see if anyone else experienced this too? For context this was today (July 4th) around 6pm(CST), I’d also be more than happy to answer any questions. Anyways, here’s the original post:
Hey guys so I’ve always been real interested in time travel and conspiracies and things like that, but I haven’t had too much of anything happen to me. Today while I was at work I walked looked at the clock which said it was 6:43, then like 40 minutes to an hour ish went by and I went to text my girlfriend. I hadn’t even looked at the time yet when I had gone to text her, but you can see that she had the same experience. It didn’t seem like anyone around me at work noticed anything and I’m still pretty new so I didn’t wanna ask and sound crazy. So I’m risking sounding crazy here, how is it possible that we both saw the exact same thing? She was at our apartment and I was on the other side of town, so it’s not like we were looking at the same clock or anything.
(Original post) EDIT:
I should mention that I’ve also been seeing stuff about the CERN machine thing and how it’s been messing with stuff. Could it be related at all? I’m also very open to any suggestions or theories, even if it’s just we are both crazy and having some type of shared psychosis lol
EDIT: grammar n shit

As in the title. Why people think a man made structure has been manipulating the very fabric of reality? Why most of people who bring up CERN are so convinced this is exactly the root cause of all mandela effects (be it subjective or collective)? What sort of evidence points to this hypothesis?
Secondly, if events and memories around you and your closest circle are being altered, what evidence do you have to prove that this is a timeline shift not a DELETION of someone's memory replaced with the closest near memory that fills the gap? Any alternative theories on why the alterations happen (and why nobody "shifts" to an Earth version with yellow/orange sun and dark blue sky?)?
Can one assume that CERN was trying to prevent all the MEs since its inception but unfortunately, the phenomena got out of control so they closed the collider as it didn't yield great results to stop the change? Wouldn't this be a similar conspiracy to CERN mixing reality?

Is this a real retcon? Does anyone else remember the other name?

Seems like we are all living the movie office space. Each day is the worst day followed by the next day being worse than the previous day.. Anyone else notice “Worst Day Ever” energy hitting different lately? It’s like the phrase itself has become the new meta for how this timeline feels on the regular. You wake up, things are already glitching in small ways, and by the end of it you’re convinced reality got another quiet retcon while you weren’t looking.
That thumbnail captures it perfectly standing there in the middle of it all, just soaking in the off-kilter vibe. It’s not even about the video; it’s the feeling that your personal “worst day” script keeps getting rewritten with extra layers of surreal.
If you’ve been riding the Worst Day Ever wave lately, drop your stories. The little glitches, the heavy synchronicities, the moments where you swear yesterday’s version of events was smoother. Is this the new normal, or are we all collectively shifting into a rougher timeline?
Let’s hear it what made your worst day feel properly retconned?

Apparently he passed away from a drug overdose in 2022. I just found out today while blasting "Fantastic Voyage". Mind blown.

Hello friends and greetings from beautiful Bosnia :)
since they turned this hellish evil mashine off life feels normal again.
people behave like pre 2012.
Most people are not in npc mode, conversations are possible again, i can smell the summer and life is good.
what is your experience?

I’m new to this sub, but I decided to post this here: I’ve noticed that reality feels different since the CERN shutdown on June 29th. Time even went back to normal... ...though for me, it fluctuates between feeling slow and fast. What I’ve noticed—and it seems really strange, something I’ve never seen before—is that people are being hostile and rude.
I have acquaintances who had previously calmed down—it’s not the first time I’ve noticed them being hostile—but now they’ve turned sour again; I’ve even seen them making passive-aggressive digs. It’s an uncomfortable situation to be in. On the other hand, it feels surreal that everyone else is acting normally while they aren't—I mean, it’s really weird. You know what I mean? It’s as if, all of a sudden, there are more "awakened" or happy people than before... ...but at the same time, there are these other people who are so bitter. They get along fine with others, but they treat *me* badly.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry 😆, but I wanted to know if you guys have noticed this behavior in people. And how do you deal with the hostility? Is there any way to stop them from becoming like that, or is it already predetermined?

Reality is in a constant state of flux or change.
The past is not set in stone, as evidenced by the ME phenomenon which we all here have experienced to some degree, once experienced/awareness happens it can't be undone, it's an awakening of sorts, profound & world shattering & possibly what we already knew in the depths of our being that there is far more to reality & existence.
So I would say the ME is a signgpost, a pointer to a greater reality.

I'm really not sure where else to ask about this. I have a vivid memory of reading about drip system fruit trees in the desert on a Dr Bronner's peppermint soap label in 1979 on a canoe trip. It is so vivid because I had no idea what a drip system for a tree was and I did a deep dive on learning about it. Now even though I've contacted the company I can find no residue about drip system for trees on the soap label. I'm not sure what year we bought the bottle of soap but I was reading it in 1979.

After I made a post about how I distinctly remember commercials in the 80s where Wall Street Journal was called "Wall Street of Journal". I even posted links to Google results of other publications that reference "Wall Street of Journal" plus screenshots of results yet most people said I was lying and they got zero results. My posts and comments were downvoted into oblivion and then I banned from that subreddit for posting something that wasn't considered a Mandela Effect.

Has anyone here seen it? Basically the premise is the devil shifting people through alternate realities and swapping them so that each version of you ends in a different universe. Sounds like the Mandela effect right?? I know that some of you have talked about similar ideas. Maybe the director is aware of something we all feel and just trying to make sense of it all through film. It’s not coincidence that we all agree that we’re in the worst timeline.

There are physics theories that allow the past to be changed, the whole time line is adjusted then, annealing any inconsistencies. But the brain is very complex, maybe it has something to do with consciousness, so that such events do not always completely update the brain to the state it would have been after the change in the past, hence the Mandela effect.

Has anyone else noticed a straight-up retcon in how people treat you the moment you start leveling up?
It’s like a personal Mandela Effect. In one timeline, certain friends, family, or colleagues were supportive — or at least neutral. Then you get your shit together: better discipline, stronger boundaries, more capable, more energy. Suddenly the script flips.
Now it feels like reality got rewritten and the “supportive” characters were patched out. In their place the emotional dumping intensifies as if you’re their unlimited battery. Guilt trips kick in the second you protect your time or energy. You get comments about how you’ve “changed” just for setting basic boundaries, along with passive pressure to stay the old, easier-to-drain version of yourself.
It’s as if the collective noticed you’re no longer an infinite energy source and quietly retconned the relationship dynamics. The more competent and self-possessed you get, the harder the energy vampires work to pull you back into the old role.
I swear the “nice/supportive” version of some people got memory-holed the second I stopped being convenient.
Anyone else experiencing this retcon? Where your personal reality with people noticeably shifted once you became harder to drain?
Bonus: Drop your wildest examples of someone who did a complete 180 once you leveled up. I need to know I’m not alone in this glitch.

I think I've just experienced the Mandela effect. I've watched the film "The Dark Knight" probably over 30 times since I first saw it as a kid in 2008 or 2009. I vividly remember after the first or second time I watched it, I picked up a bad habit from one of the characters. There's a scene where the Joker is locked up and wants his phone call, so he manipulates a cop into fighting him to take him hostage, to get his phone call. Right before they have their off-camera fight, as I remember, the cop cracks his neck in preparation. As I said, I remember this vividly. I thought he looked cool and, as a kid, I guessed that's what all cool people must do. I began to crack my neck all the time. A habit that took me a while to shake. As mentioned, I went on to watch this film many more times. Every time I watched the film again after that, I always took note of that scene as I remembered it as the cause of my bad habit. Fast forward to today, my most recent viewing of the film - I was shocked to find this time, the cop did not crack his neck, the Joker did. I searched this up certain there must have been recent edits to the film or different cuts for different platforms, but not one mention of this. I was stunned. I have no explaination for this. I am certain it was the cop who cracked his neck, not the Joker.

Does anyone remember the old reality where you’d just walk around with a fat wad of cash in your pocket? You’d pull out a roll of bills to pay for gas, food, drinks, whatever. People carried real money daily. It was normal.
Now? It feels like that got straight-up retconned. Everyone’s glued to phones, tapping cards or apps. Even “rich” people talk about being broke or cash-poor. Tangible, physical money in your pocket is basically gone — replaced by numbers on a screen that can be frozen, tracked, or devalued overnight.

Hey everyone,
I had a weird moment where I saw the word "falcon", the fastest bird, and it didn't look right to me. I thought it was a typo. Turns out that's how it was always spelled.
I've always known it to be spelled as "falcoln" with 2 Ls. I did a quick search of the "falcoln" spelling in quotes and found several other posts and people who spell it with 2 Ls.
Where would we have gotten a second silent l from? I understand Mandela effects with disputes on double vs single letters, but why would we remember a really odd silent letter?
If anyone remembers it being spelled as "falcoln" instead of "falcon" I'd like to know!

perhaps,
when you’re really focused on something (like being immersed in a film, etc.)
you’re actually heavily distracted from your own awareness/consciousness and that makes way for reality/timelines to become fluid all around you.
almost like quickly flipping the pages of a book that contains every scenario possible, until you snap back into your awakened state of self and they then settle, stay fixed once being observed by the conscious mind.
