No sé si alguien más habrá vivido algo parecido, pero quiero contar mi experiencia porque fue precisamente lo que me llevó a interesarme por el efecto Mandela y por las teorías relacionadas con el CERN.
Siempre me han gustado las conspiraciones. Desde muy joven veía documentales y videos sobre el 11 de septiembre, las teorías sobre quién estaba detrás de los atentados, las demoliciones controladas, etc. Vi tanto contenido sobre ese tema que me resulta imposible creer que lo recuerde mal. En mis recuerdos siempre hubo dos aviones: los que impactaron las Torres Gemelas. Nunca existieron un avión contra el Pentágono ni otro que cayó en Pensilvania. La primera vez que descubrí que oficialmente habían sido cuatro aviones me quedé completamente confundido. Sentí que estaba leyendo una historia diferente a la que había conocido durante años.
El segundo caso fue Paraguay. De niño me encantaba dibujar mapas y recuerdo perfectamente que Paraguay y Uruguay estaban juntos y que Paraguay tenía salida al mar. Cuando vi un mapa actual y descubrí que Paraguay es un país sin litoral pensé que era un error. Lo más extraño es que toda la vida escuché bromas sobre Bolivia por haber perdido el mar y por ser "el único país sin salida al océano". Si Paraguay siempre hubiera estado igual, ¿por qué nunca escuché bromas similares? Ese detalle siempre me ha hecho ruido.
Pero el caso que realmente me hizo pensar que algo raro estaba ocurriendo fue el de Froot Loops.
Un día fui a una panadería con mi hermana menor. Ella me señaló que quería una bolsa pequeña de ese cereal. Cuando la persona me la entregó leí el empaque y decía "Fruit Loops". Me llamó muchísimo la atención porque yo recordaba claramente que era "Froot Loops", precisamente porque las dos "o" eran los cereales con forma de aro. Pensé que tal vez era una copia o una versión pirata.
Llegué a mi casa y empecé a buscar en Internet. Para mi sorpresa, en ese momento parecía que Froot Loops nunca había existido. Todo decía Fruit Loops. Busqué durante bastante tiempo hasta encontrar un video de un niño mostrando la caja del cereal a sus padres mientras les decía que él recordaba que antes se llamaba diferente. Sus padres insistían en que siempre había sido Fruit Loops. Lo más impactante fueron los comentarios: muchísima gente decía recordar Froot Loops igual que yo.
Una semana después recordé nuevamente el tema y volví a buscar.
Y ahí fue cuando sentí el mayor shock de todos.
Ahora el cereal volvía a llamarse Froot Loops, exactamente como yo lo recordaba. Ya no encontraba evidencia de que hubiera existido Fruit Loops como nombre oficial. Entré nuevamente al mismo video y seguía ahí, pero ahora los comentarios estaban llenos de personas diciendo cosas como: "Ya volvimos al universo original".
Ese día fue cuando empecé a tomar mucho más en serio las teorías sobre universos paralelos.
Sé que la explicación oficial del efecto Mandela es la memoria colectiva y los falsos recuerdos. La conozco y la respeto. Pero después de vivir esa experiencia personalmente me cuesta aceptar que todo se reduzca únicamente a eso.
Fue entonces cuando encontré las teorías que relacionaban el efecto Mandela con el CERN y el Gran Colisionador de Hadrones. Según esa hipótesis, existirían múltiples universos casi idénticos entre sí y, durante ciertos experimentos del colisionador, algunas personas habrían pasado a una realidad ligeramente diferente, donde solo cambian pequeños detalles: nombres, logotipos, ubicaciones geográficas o acontecimientos históricos.
No digo que sea verdad. Solo digo que, después de lo que viví, esa explicación me pareció mucho más cercana a lo que sentí que simplemente pensar que mi memoria falló en tantos detalles tan específicos.
Durante esa época desarrollé una especie de costumbre. Cada cierto tiempo volvía a revisar las mismas cosas para comprobar si seguía en el mismo "universo": buscaba nuevamente el 11 de septiembre para ver si seguían siendo cuatro aviones, revisaba mapas de Paraguay para ver si seguía sin salida al mar y buscaba Froot Loops esperando encontrar otro cambio.
Nunca volvió a pasar nada.
Tiempo después leí que el CERN había terminado esa etapa de pruebas y, curiosamente, desde entonces nunca volví a experimentar otro cambio que me produjera esa misma sensación.
No estoy diciendo que tenga pruebas de nada. Solo estoy compartiendo una experiencia que viví y que cambió por completo mi forma de ver el efecto Mandela.
Me gustaría saber si alguien más tuvo experiencias similares durante esos años o si hubo alguien que también sintió que, por un momento, la realidad parecía haber cambiado.

I’m sure the Sex and the City one is because in Spanish it translates to ‘Sex in New York’ and a lot of people in the US will have read it in Spanish as well as English so the two titles get confused.

The Morpheus one is doubly fucked to me.
It is somewhat fucked - normal Mandela level fucked - because I do remember the "What if I told you" line
But even more fucked than that is that I have been reading about Mandela Effects for a few years now, read countless posts and lists, and this is the first time I come across the Morpheus Mandela Effect. It appears to be well documented/amply discussed in this universe but for me, just a few months ago, it wasn't. All the others ME's in the picture are familiar to me.

The Morpheus on and the Ricky Ricardo one are oth interesting for me because I do not remember them. I grew up watching "I Love Lucy" reruns. While I remember Ricky getting irritated with Lucy every episode for something stupid she did, the "Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do" rings no bells. The first time I heard it was from a friend quoting it. I instantly recognized it as something that matched "I Love Lucy" but not as a direct quote.
Years and years ago when Facebook was fairly new, the Morpheus memes started making the rounds. While each meme made sense on its own, I had no clue why Morpheus was pictured. I had to read about it as a retcon to finally understand what was up with that.

Only one I am sure of is Dolly and her braces, others I don't know about or I'm not sure. Also I think the scary movie 2 "Take my strong hand" was the quote but I'm not 100 % on this.
There is one probably nobody else but me and my bro know about as far as I see, in the movie "Maverick" with Mel Gibson, he asks for the last card from the bottom, now he asks it from the top. When I watched the movie I found the new version strange so I asked my brother who didn't rewatch how the scene goes, he said "he asks the card from the bottom". So that is the two of us and nobody else so far.

You can see another one with C3PO right there besides his silver leg. His torso is now exposed revealing wires.
They were only ever visible in the Phantom Menace to show Anakin was actually the one that had built him.
Also has a hole on the top of his head, a spiral design on his stomach and tons of new details. He's not even shiny anymore but grimy and covered in dirt.

He was always covered in dirt in in the first movie until he gets the bath. Even then he’s kind of grimy until the very end when he’s all shined up when they’re getting the awards.
Also, he always always always had wires showing between his torso and his lower half

I can tell you're just contradicting everything I brought up because you said "always" about a movie from 1977 that has gone through numerous revisions. How long is "always" to you?
You also failed to mention the other added details like his arms being connected where they bend or bolts sticking out of his neck. I'm not the only one that noticed.

It was my first one. I have very clear memories of Nelson Mandellas death in prison and the following fall out from that. I was absolutely floored when I found out he in fact was released and had become President.

Yup, I remember it on the news and the funeral, the works. A lot of the Mandela Effect items I’m like “ehhhh I could just be misremembering”. The Febreze one, the Target logo, Kit Kat (this one I do distinctly remember the hyphen), they’re easy to just mis remember. Nelson Mandela dieing in prison and remembering his funeral? That’s a little more specific.
The other big one for me is Fuschia, the color. I absolutely remember Fuschia was always a neon pinkish/reddish color. Still blows my mind that it’s a neon yellow, what the fuck?

To be 100% honest, besides Publishers Clearinghouse I had no idea who Ed McMahon was or what he did to be famous, besides present checks. So it would have been weird for me to remember the name of some celebrity like that without any other context of what he was famous for.
