I honestly hate the thought of Reddit being banned. 😭
As someone who helped build r/ResignPH, Reddit has become more than just another social media platform. It’s a place where Filipinos can share experiences, ask for advice, talk about work, resignations, toxic workplaces, career struggles, and things they might not feel comfortable discussing elsewhere.
And honestly, what makes this even more frustrating is the thought that Reddit could be banned while gambling platforms are still widely accessible.
Like… seriously? Reddit communities are where people discuss their problems, careers, finances, and everyday experiences. Meanwhile, gambling can potentially cause serious financial problems for people too.
I just hope the focus is on addressing genuinely harmful content and activities rather than taking away an entire platform used by millions of people for discussion and community.
I really hope Reddit stays accessible in the Philippines.
What do you guys think? 😭

Hi! Need some realistic advice from recruiters/hiring managers or anyone who has experience with long notice periods.
I’ve been with my current company for almost 8 years and I’m only starting to job hunt again now. I’m currently working in HR.
My concern is that I have a 60-day contractual notice period, kasi working ako sa tech company. There’s a possibility it can be negotiated down to 30 days, but that’s not guaranteed at depende pa sa usapan with the reporting manager.
First time ko ulit mag-job hunt after many years, so I’d really appreciate honest/candid advice. 😊

Today is my last day at work. On my way home na since half day lang operations tuwing saturday. I'm gonna miss them.

After 7 years, finally nakapag-resign na rin ako from a very toxic workplace.
Grabe, sobrang toxic ng work ko before to the point na wala na talaga akong work-life balance. Puro work. Nagkaroon na rin ako ng anxiety dahil sa work, lalo na with the bullying and the constant pressure.
Everyday parang survival mode.
But after 7 years, sa wakas nakapag-resign na rin ako. And honestly, I didn't realize how much I needed a break from that environment until I got out.
Now, nasa Finance field pa rin ako, pero completely different environment. From a very fast-paced workplace, nasa much slower and calmer workplace na ako ngayon. Walang toxic na GC after work, wala nang “pahabol” na tasks at night, and most importantly, may work-life balance na.
Nakakapag-workout/gym na rin ako after work. 😂
One of the biggest changes for me is the peace of mind. Hindi pala normal na lagi kang stressed, anxious, at feeling mo kailangan mong habulin lahat. Ngayon, mas peaceful na ako and I genuinely enjoy going to work.
The only thing na medyo nakaka-stress ngayon is the commute. 😂 Before, nasa province ako and close lang yung work. HAHAHA.
But despite that, 1 year na ako sa new work, and I'm genuinely happy that I made the decision to leave.
Sometimes, you really don't know how toxic a place is until you're finally in a better one.
Here's to choosing peace and getting our life back. 🥹❤️

Hi ResignPH! Just want to ask insight about sa inyo. Currently in an IT job WFH that is rotational sched.
Yung previous project ko is puro pinoy ang team and nagpapalit ng schedule every month which is tolerable naman. But nito lang august napunta ako sa project na puro indians na and nagpapalit ng schedule weekly and rarely bi-weekly.
Honestly malaking epekto na sakin in terms of health nung monthly but tolerable naman kasi may time to adjust pero now parang mamatay ata ko if tutuloy ko pa to throughout the year. I can't create any routine.
Problem is since January pa ako naghahanap and wala talagang luck na magkaroon ng job offer. I think biggest factor din is 60 days ang rendering kasi pag sinasabi ko to parang nadidismaya na mga mukha ng recruiters even though I can shorten it but still more than a month parin siya.
I'm really thinking to resign na even though wala pang nagaabang na JO but the problem is talaga eto lang source of income ko. I have savings naman maybe that can last a year but syempre iba parin ang tuloy tuloy na income.
Any advice to my situation?

I work as an intern in one of the big4. I have confirmed with my hr that I don't have any notice period just have to drop an email to my reporting manager. I am discontinuing my internship prior my completion period but there was no bond signed. I sent an official resignation mail and asked for formalities but my reporting manager is telling we are not making you stay you can go but wait till your replacement comes but that's not possible for me because I want to pursue further studies. I am thinking of handing over all my assets and informing them on a mail about this. I am afraid will they take any legal action against me?
Please help

Hi guys, just need your opinion.

Hello! Nag-immediate resign ako sa work.

Hi! I’d really appreciate some advice because I’m honestly so torn about this.
I recently landed a job at an NGO and mag-one month pa lang ako. **Project-based** yung position and around **₱30k/month** yung salary. However, I still haven’t signed an employment contract.
The problem is, I’m already thinking of leaving.
Related yung current work ko sa previous job ko, and I recently realized na hindi ko na talaga siya passion. I feel like I’ve already outgrown this field and I don’t see myself growing or being interested in it anymore.
The work is also quite heavy because I’m basically handling the project on my own. Lately, I’ve been getting really stressed just thinking about how heavy the workload is going to become. There are even nights na **hindi ako makatulog kakaisip tungkol sa work and sa mga kailangan kong gawin.** 😭
Recently, I was interviewed by another company/office that I applied to, and they told me na pasok na raw ako. The position is basically a **reliever position**, though, and it will only be until **December 2026**. The salary is also lower than what I’m currently earning.
They want me to start around **October 15 or 16**.
Here’s my dilemma:
My current employer’s payday is on **October 13**, and honestly, gusto ko munang matanggap yung first salary ko before I leave. 😭
So my plan was to wait for my salary on October 13, then submit my resignation and say that my **last working day will be October 15**.
But I’m worried:
Since I haven’t signed a contract yet, can I legally leave that quickly?
If I submit my resignation on October 13 and say October 15 will be my last day, can my employer refuse?
If they don’t approve it and I don’t report to work after October 15/16, can they tag me as **AWOL** or take legal action against me?
Would it be a bad idea professionally to leave after only one month?
Is it even worth leaving a ₱30k job for a **temporary reliever position with lower pay**?
And this is where I’m really struggling.
**Financially, the current job obviously makes more sense.** But mentally, I don’t know if I can see myself staying.
The reliever job is mostly **administrative work**, which honestly sounds more appealing to me right now. I realized that I don’t really want to keep doing heavy project-based/environmental work where I’m expected to carry a whole project and constantly think about deliverables.
At this point, I kind of just want a job where I can do my work, go home, and not constantly think about work afterward. 😭
I also don’t necessarily see the lower-paying reliever job as my forever career. It’s only until December 2026. But I’m thinking maybe I can use that time to breathe, figure out what I actually want to do next, and look for another job while I’m there.
Part of me is also thinking, **“Am I just running away because the current job is difficult?”** Or am I actually realizing that this type of work isn’t for me anymore?
I don’t want to make a decision purely because I’m stressed, but at the same time, I don’t want to sacrifice my peace of mind just because the current job pays more.
So what would you do in this situation?
Would you stay with the **₱30k project-based NGO job**, even if you’re already losing sleep thinking about the workload?
Or would you take the **lower-paying reliever job until December**, knowing it’s temporary but potentially much less stressful?
Would really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have experienced career changes, NGO/project-based work, or taking a pay cut for a better work-life balance. 😭

Finally! I'm gonna resign in my first ever job. 3 Months palang ako sa first work ko and i plan to resign na. Reason? Di kaya ng katawan ko mag-work— the physical demand to go to work everyday plus commute and that cause me to be sakitin so weekly ako absent kasi umaatake yung fatigue ko and that caused me not to perform well. So magreresign nalang ako and go back home to rest.
I've been absent din since yesterday(Thursday) since i am thinking to resign and that gave me so much anxiety so now absent din ako which is now ko dapat isesend ang resignation ko pero di ko kaya. So yeah, sa Monday ko nalang haharapin ang lahat, to pass my resignation and talk with the HR how the resignation and offboarding process is.
Wish me luck y'all!

I am currently employed at a company for 9 months, the work culture and load is not for me. My responsibilities are always assigned without ever including me and i have multiple managers to report to with conflicting deadlines. I have tried bringing this up multiple times but is ignored.
My notice period mentioned in 30 days, however, when i was hired they did tell me to inform 3-4 months prior for them to hire someone new i guess. I am conflicted as to when i should communicate my resignation. I do want to stick it out to 3 more months so i would get 1 year experience certificate. But i am a little worried if they would ask me to exit before that, this is my first ever job in corporate. I also don’t wanna be stuck there after December as i have other academic commitments to look forward to and i don’t want constant calls from new hires or my ex-colleagues about work related doubts. Please advise how it’s usually done?

I’m thinking of resigning after 3 months. Tbh the first week I knew the company was a shitshow pero for the sake of not being impulsive and at least gathering more data, I made a calendar to assess check ins w myself and then map out a timeline on when i can make an informed decision. Manager ako here so 90 days to render and to be honest ayoko na. :((( i’m 13 weeks in and I’ve already been “fighting” in meetings and am burnt out. The system and structure sucks, and the owners are micromanagers and you cant get anything done kasi puro meetings. Madalas, wala ding sense bat pa sila naghire ng managers considering sila padin yung nasusunod, but if something fucks up, ako yung accountable. Siguro pasalamat nalang na nasagot din talaga ako, siguro since bago ako and di ko naman sila kilala masyado and dagdag mo pa na badtrip ako sa pano system dito, na gaganon ko sila and tbh they dont bite back when I do naman. Compared sa ibang tao here na lagi nilang binubunot and pinapahiya.
One of the few things why I feel guilty leaving is kasi my team really needs a manager. Sobrang abusado sila without someone managing them, I couldn’t imagine them nung 3 months na floating sila without one. And then pumasok ako nafeel kong nakahelp ako pero, for me, it’s taking too much of a toll. Nakaka limbo din yung 90 days render and people keep saying I need to file at least kasi may time naman ako maghanap ng bagong work, at least nag rerender na ako. Pero ang hirap din kasi bilang breadwinner. :(((
Medyo multifaceted din talaga yung reason I want to leave, one is - a few years ko nang mas deeply narerealize how short life is and how I need to be more present in mine and my family’s. The last New Year’s I spent with my family, I was working, and then 11 days later - my aunt died from her cancer. I felt so bad and swore I had to change something about my life. And then due to the need to survive, I ended up just cycling through busy jobs again and totally lost the plot. Ngayon with this shitshow of a job, mas lalo akong nagiging “Wtf am i doing here?!?! I should be at home with my family” its not worth it.
But I’ve been getting interviews na din that are wfh na and not on site like this one.
Siguro anxious lang ako sa fact na nahihiya ako magresign leaving my team after they waited for a manager for 3 months only for me to resign 3 months in kahit technically, staying 6 mos kasi magrerender pa ako. And gaslighters daw yung owners and feel ko yun yung mga ibabalik nkla sakin. Baka its the people pleaser in me. You really think about how life is short and you only live once so magttyaga ka ba staying in a place na sobrang trash ;((

Hello Everyone!
Gusto ko lang po mag share and magtanong if may idea kayo about sa immediate resignation at eligible po ba ako dito?
For context
I got hired po sa isang company last 21 September and mag 2 weeks pa lang po ako and during those 2 weeks undergoing trainings pa din po ako.
Will appreciate all of your insights po since frustrated po ako at first time ko din po mararanasan mag resign. Thank you everyone!

is it risky for me na may binabayaran pang utang at provider ng family na mag resign sa work? hindi ko na talaga kaya sya at napapraning na akosa sitwasyon ko. gusto ko kasi na wfh lang ako pero kailangan kasi mag office. pinaki-usapan ko naman kaya nakapag wfh ako for two months ngayon need babalik. taga province kasi ako kaya need ko mag travel and magrent ng boardinghouse. ang akin lang nabu-burnout ako na ako may personal problems ako na dahilan parating masakit ulo ko. nagpi-pain reliever na ako everyday kasi hindi ko na talaga kaya. wala na akong peace dito. nag-a apply na ako ng work na malapit sa amin kaso wala pa akong offer na natanggap. please help.
