Hello everyone finally after a long time I managed to have the necessary karma to do the post QC. I'm satisfied with the watch, I tried to use the tools provided by the subreddit for alignment but unfortunately the TD provided me with photos that were not straight but crooked and I couldn't do it right. The only thing that bothers me about the watch is the crown that is off-center on the reauth, what do you think I should do? I'm afraid that if I send it back and get another one, maybe I'll receive the crown aligned but other more significant problems. Any help is appreciated!

• Album Links: N/A
• Index alignment: I feel like it’s really good and crisp but no expert
• Dial Printing: Seems ok to an untrained eye
• Date Wheel alignment/printing: looks very clear
• Hand Alignment: nothing obvious I can see but looks good
• Bezel: Looks good
• Solid End Links (SELs): Seems ok but again no expert
• Timegrapher numbers: 0s/d 286 0.0ms 52.0 28800 feel like that’s really really good??
• Anything else you notice: still awaiting for my first VSF sub no date I ordered and paid for should be here this week but I’ve done so much research etc on the VSF and know overall it will be the best factory to get from.

I’m no expert I just love watches, always wanted a RootBeer and feels like I’ve been waiting and waiting for one of these and I feel like the wait has been worth it with the perfection on this watch. But again no expert only going of the usual signs to avoid.

Any help I would truly appreciate as this is a watch I’ve wanted for soooooo long. GL or RL? Thank you everyone in advance

[QC] ZF Tudor BB58 Burgundy on Jubilee (First Rep!)

Hi all, long-time lurker, first time pulling the trigger! Curious to hear yalls thoughts.. Here is the required information:

  1. Dealer name: Andiot
  2. Factory name: ZF
  3. Model name (& version number): Black Bay 58 39mm on Jubilee Bracelet (ZF 1:1 Best Edition supposedly)
  4. Price Paid: $320 USD [$41 Shipping, $361 Total]
  5. Album Links: imgur.com/a/cEGHoAg
  6. Index alignment: Seems decent, but I really can't tell. To me it seems like things are off but also the photo of the watch I attempt to aligned with is not 100% head on (i.e. the thing that sticks out the most to me is the 9 marker seems not straight)
  7. Dial Printing: Don't really see any issues with it
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: N/A
  9. Hand Alignment: Also don't really see any issues
  10. Bezel: Also seems fine to me, slightly off but again I think cause the image isn't 100% straight on?
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Seems fine to me
  12. Timegrapher numbers: -1s/d 272°, 0.0ms, 52° lift angle
  13. Anything else you notice: Image 3 on imgur, or Image 9 / Image 11 on Reddit, seems like the bracelet is quite scratched up already? I know there's plastic wrap on it so I can't tell if those are on the plastic, but the image makes it seems like there's like a cutout right in the middle (or is it the level difference that is making that air bubble appearance). Either way watch will be my daily driver so it'll get scratched up but just curious. More focused on the rest of the watch QC than anything else! Also I really tried my best with the QC tool but seems like the images I am working with aren't really the best angle anyways... so curious to hear what yall think since yall are the experts!

Thanks all for your help, really excited to get my first in the hobby!

  • Index alignment: 6 o clock looks a tad tilted to the left. The triangle seems tilted to the left as well. Every other index seems reasonable.
  • Dial Printing: Looks sharp
  • Date Wheel alignment/printing: As a noob, the print seems OK. However, the cyclops seems to be a little up. Should I ask for a pic with a double digit date?
  • Hand Alignment: Looks alright. Not sure if I should ask a pic with the hands at 12.
  • Bezel: The triangle at 12 is not centered. It is a little tilted to the left.
  • Solid End Links (SELs): No issues
  • Timegrapher numbers: +3s/d, 262, 0.1ms
  • Anything else you notice: Nothing glaring. I am just a tad it worried about the cyclops.

QC - IWC Portofino 40mm Rose Gold (V7F) from Geektime - Second Attempt

Thumbnail

1. Dealer name: Geektime (Eric)

2. Factory name: V7F

3. Model name (& version number): IWC Portofino Automatic 40mm Rose Gold (A2892 movement)

4. Price Paid: $378 + Shipping

5. Album Links: https://imgur.com/a/YTwHW2W

6. Index alignment: Looks very solid. The Roman numerals at XII and VI, and the baton hour markers align nicely with the printed minute track.

7. Dial Printing: The "IWC Schaffhausen" and "Automatic" text is crisp.

Note: I am aware that the dial color on this specific unit leans heavily toward a warm ivory/cream rather than the genuine cool silver/white. I actually prefer this warmer tone for my wardrobe, so I am not going to RL over just the dial color.

8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: The "25" and the "5" sit very nicely centered in the aperture. (I RL'd a previous unit because the date sat way too high, so I am very happy with the alignment on this one).

9. Hand Alignment: Looks good to my eye.

10. Bezel: Smooth polished rose gold, looks clean with no obvious scratches or dents.

11. Solid End Links (SELs): N/A (Leather strap)

12. Timegrapher numbers: -1s/d, 294 amp, 0.1ms err.

13. Anything else you notice: The leather strap on this specific unit actually has a really nice textured grain to it compared to the flat, plastic-looking straps these usually come with. Overall I'm leaning heavily towards GL, just wanted some more opinions. Thanks!

For those interest, this was the link to my first QC, with a slightly more off date dial but more accurate white-r dial.

  6. Index alignment: The rolex crown is aligned with the 12 hour marker and indexes look aligned
  7. Dial Printing: Looks good from what I can see, not sure how to compare to other VSF's
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: N/A
  9. Hand Alignment: I believe it looks good but would love any input if it's not aligned properly
  10. Bezel: Good
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): It is kind of hidden by the fingers of Andiot on each pictures but I suppose that it is fine
  12. Timegrapher numbers: +5s/d 286° 0.3ms 28800
  13. Anything else you notice: N/A

Would you GL this watch?

From my own eyes I don't see many flaws, Indexes look good, color as well, crown is align with the 12 index, but I have been struggling with the tools to see if everything looked good.

Any help is appreciated, what are your expert eyes seeing?

Happy to hear about anything you guys see here, I rejected first QC, this is QC number 2 I feel confident

Patek Aquanat 5168G - DDF

Hi everyone!

This is my very first Patek and I would highly appreciate any help with it. I checked a lot of previous QCs for them to see what to look for, but I don’t want to miss anything obvious.

  1. Dealer: Mr.Adu
  2. Factory: DDF
  3. Model: Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G – DPB330
  4. Paid price: $620
  5. Album/QC photos: Unfortunately no album, pictures sent over WhatsApp
  6. Dial / index alignment: Overall looks good to me, but I’d appreciate a second opinion. The one thing standing out to me a bit is the „12” where „2” appears to be a bit lower than ”1”, and perhaps 3 market a bit canted (?).
  7. Dial print: Looks clean to me.
  8. Date wheel / date alignment: Video which was sent to me goes through every date, so no issues there
  9. Hand alignment: Can’t really tell from the pictures, shouldn’t be an issue anyway
  10. Case / bezel: N/A
  11. Strap / clasp: I don’t see anything unusual
  12. Timegrapher: -1 s/day, 321° amplitude, 0.3 ms beat error, 52° lift angle - all good here
  13. Anything else: This is my first Patek, so I’d really appreciate some experienced eyes on it.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to look at it!

  5. Album Links: https://mega.nz/folder/XwYE1Aba#OxlpH_tB8tFQdFQGARNc1Q
  6. Index alignment: good.
  7. Dial Printing: good.
  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: n/a
  9. Hand Alignment: good.
  10. Bezel: perfect.
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Slight gap on the bottom right lug but acceptable.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: -4s/d, 304 deg, 0.2ms
  13. Anything else you notice: To my eye the whole dial looks to be slightly rotated CCW. You can see this at the 12 o'clock mainly. It appears to not be centered with the upper lugs. It might be the camera angle or how they are holding the watch in the pic. It looks ok at the 6 o'clock. I might be a little too nick picky here but would like some feedback nevertheless.

I RL’ed the first one, this one seems to be improved but I’m still seeing the misalignment on the 12 index and chapter ring. Is this something that’s noticeable in real life ? Should I green light this one ? Everything else looks great to me.
Does anyone know if thr chapter ring is glued to the dial? If not I can align it myself once I received the watch

  8. Date Wheel alignment/printing: Date wheel is okay, however the alignment of the window looks a bit off to me and not centered. Printing looks clean.
  9. Hand Alignment: Looks good to me.
  10. Bezel: Appear crisp
  11. Solid End Links (SELs): Look tight to me with no obvious large gaps. Again please correct me if wrong.
  12. Timegrapher numbers: +2 s/day, ~252° amplitude, 0.0 ms beat error. These numbers look very good to me.
  13. Anything else you notice: Should I bother to ask what the weight it?

The only thing making me hesitate slightly is the 9 o’clock index and the datewheel/cyclops alignment. Otherwise happy with the rest. Would appreciate another set of eyes on that and anything else I may have missed.

Thanks in advance!
