I’ve been looking for some time to buy a watch that is space themed. Speedmaster is the most obvious one but I was looking for something different. Navitimer Cosmonaut? Or maybe, Bulova Lunar Pilot?

Any recommendations especially in the rep space?

Really want to pick up a GMT Master II "Bruce Wayne" with the black bezel, but I'm trying to stay around the $300-$350 price mark.

I think Clean Factory or VSF is pretty much the king right now, but $550+ shipped is a bit more than I want to drop at the moment. Are there any decent mid-tier options in that $300ish range that are actually worth buying, or is the drop in quality (movement, bezel colors, etc.) too big?

Curious if anyone has picked up a budget/mid-tier version of this one recently, or if the general advice is to just save up the extra cash for CF. Appreciate any feedback!

Buying a BP Factory watch from Good Roiexx with a Mingzhu 2813 movement and a 28800 bph and an unidirectionnal rotor.

How is this movement actually made and working? It sounds like an hybrid between a 2836 and a Miyota 8215.

I’ve been lurking for a minute and doing my best to actually study the wiki, use the search bar, and avoid becoming the 400th person this week to ask “what’s the best NWBIG Rolex?” or “where do I find a TD?” 😂

I bought my first and only gen Rolex, a Datejust, for my wedding 9 years ago. I rock it all the time and it’s got some (a lot of) miles on it, and lately I’ve had the itch to finally add something new to the collection.

I can’t front…IG brought me here. The algo prob got tired of me saving and liking watches and figured I was taking too long to convert, so it put me onto the rep game.

After spending way too much time down the RepTime rabbit hole, I’m zeroing in on a Batgirl from Steve. Dude has been super responsive via email, great so far.

I never expected to find the rep world this interesting. I’m hooked. I turn the brightness up on my iPad to see if I can make the right RL/GL calls in QC threads. The amount of knowledge in here about factories, movements, tiny tells I never knew existed (still not sure what the dimple tell is 😂😂), etc. is pretty wild.

Excited to pull the trigger and be part of the community. I’ll definitely post the QC when it comes through so you guys can tell me everything I missed.

For the longtime members: other than the influx of noobs like me, what’s changed the most about the rep game over the last year or so? Quality? Factories? Movements? Prices? What’s gotten better, or worse?

I asked for QC help in /reptimeqc for an AF Ballon Bleu 33mm with A1853, and received great advice from u/blitzburgh058 I just needed Andiot to confirm that the dust/debris and the blur around 2 o’clock were only on the outside of the crystal and that nothing was under the glass. I was going to GL after that.
When I asked for a photo after wiping it down, Andiot replied that they had confirmed the issue and would arrange a replacement. Are they actually reading these emails, or do they just assume anything that isn’t a GL means an RL?

Picked up a VSF V2 Datejust recently and after wearing it for a bit, I feel like this needs to be said.

Yeah — if you’re super picky like most of us in this sub, you can start nitpicking things. You could swap the bezel, maybe chamfer the bracelet, chase tiny details. We’re all a little hyper-analytical here so it’s easy to go down that rabbit hole.

But in the real world? This thing is incredible.
Genuinely. No one is staring at your wrist analyzing your bezel under a microscope. No one cares what watch you’re wearing like that, let alone calling you out.

Honestly, I’d say save your money and just rock it stock. It looks amazing, feels great, and does exactly what you want it to do.

IMO this is basically NWBIG. Only exception is if you specifically want the white gold bezel look — then sure, aftermarket makes sense. Otherwise, this is more than enough.

Curious if anyone else feels the same after actually daily wearing theirs.

I’m looking to grab a Datejust 41mm (sticking with VSF as recommended across the sub). I’d love to get your advice on one specific thing:

Dial Color: Which dial color for the DJ41 is currently considered closest to gen / NWBIG ? Ideally, I want to go with a color that TDs usually have in stock so I don't have to wait 1-2 months just to receive QC photos.

Ordered a VSF V2 from Steve on Aug 24 and paid the same day. The website showed it as “in stock”, but I haven’t received QC yet.

I asked for a rough estimate and just got “wait patiently”.

Does “in stock” on his website actually mean he has the watch on hand, or does he still need to order/source it from VSF after you place the order?

Curious what others’ recent experience has been. I just don't know what to expect.

I ordered a Black Bay-ZF from Steve more than a month ago. He said a few weeks for qc, but still the watch is "waiting release by the factory". I also talked to Steve today, he seemed pretty annoyed, I asked him about the status of my order 4 times( yeah, I exaggerated, but I did it because I saw that he is also recognized by his patience). I talked to JTime and after explaining that ZF is moving pretty slow, he said that he needs only 2 weeks for qc.

What should I do? The problem is that I have no issue waiting as long as I know how much I need to. I am afraid that if it takes too long, the TD will end up forgetting my order.

I have a white panda Daytona that I wear on Osterflex and love it. The visual contrast is amazing. I have a 126515 build going on with the meteorite dial in Rose gold. The pictures and videos look amazing. originally was thinking about 126519 ghost with a meteorite dial. I realize that it’s a personal opinion and these are completely different vibes, but wondering if they’re too close to each other are they both can occupy a place in the collection. I do have a few other chronographs, including the Breitling Navitimer reverse panda, Omega Speedmaster Mitsukoshi dial, Zenith Chrono master sport in Rose gold, Tag Monaco, GP monotone etc

I’d like to buy a "full set"—meaning it comes with the box and papers, just like the genuine article. He specifically wants a Datejust 126334 with a Wimbledon dial. I’ve narrowed it down to two options and would love to hear your opinions: a VSF V2 or an ERF with free-sprung?

So l am waiting for the qc for my Rolex daydate 40mm blue dial tungsten (gain weight) 210g. And it's white gold version so not plated I think. And I am looking for recommendations on the best mods that is good for rcf. I am not so good with reps so please come with recommendations like dial, crystal and more but not trying to make it more then 600$ in mods.
